And this Queen, much like Keller, was unique in that there were clear hierarchical restrictions among them; of course, these ranks were beyond Finn Lewis's understanding. Although Finn Lewis was considered the Supreme Ruler of the Insect Species, the Queens had strict and clear ranking restrictions among themselves.
However, one point was that these Queens did not have the same rigid class consciousness towards Finn Lewis as the insect units did; they all acknowledged Finn Lewis as the Supreme Ruler. The hierarchy among the Queens was not absolute. If Finn Lewis did not set limits, two Queens leading separate portions of the Insect Species on a planet would undoubtedly come into conflict for the development of their respective groups.
