"Ah!" Suddenly, a piercing scream violently entered Finn Lewis's ears. With a slight force of his legs, Finn's whole body lunged toward the direction of the sound. At the same time, his right hand swung the long sword into action. As he rounded the corner, a hall suddenly came into view, but the scene inside the hall made Finn feel nauseous.
The place resembled a slaughterhouse, filled with various corpses that were almost beyond recognition. On the ground, there was some dark green slime about twenty centimeters deep, and the color of this slime was very similar to the thin layer in the corridor outside.
Besides these rotten bodies, of which there were at least a hundred, there was nothing else in the hall. Finn frowned, and just as he was about to step forward, suddenly, a shadow burst out of the green slime on the ground in front of him.
