Upon arriving at this point in their reasoning, everyone suddenly felt that it all made sense. It was very possible that the trap had been set by Finn Lewis himself, and the Aitken Family had foolishly walked right into it. However, what Finn hadn't anticipated was that the Rochefort Clan would get involved.
Even if the opposing family had stepped in, if this had all been a ploy orchestrated by Finn, then those so-called interstellar pirates were in for some real fun. Those pirates had already swindled a sum of money from the Aitken Family, and even if the Rochefort Clan's intervention meant Finn ended up buying those junk warships, he wouldn't be at a loss.
But what Finn probably hadn't expected was that even fate would lend him a hand, making the Rochefort Clan's move pointless. The result was that a mysterious monster, which had appeared out of nowhere in the Heritage System, wiped them out completely. His luck was unbelievably good.
