Finn Lewis nodded, looking up. The light in the corridor was soft, seeming to emanate from the very material it was made of. There didn't seem to be any lighting fixtures. The floor was even and smooth, while the walls had a curved structure starting from the sides and moving upwards.
The side walls were also clean, nothing visible. About thirty meters ahead, the corridor bent out of sight.
"Hello, anyone there?" Finn paused before calling out.
"Hello." A gentle voice echoed in the corridor, speaking Mandarin. The sound of this voice relaxed Finn. The unknown is always the most terrifying. Since someone had responded, it meant he could communicate, especially since the person was speaking Mandarin.
"Hello, who are you?" Finn inquired tentatively.
"I am the ship's main control AI. Please call me Dido. Welcome back." The gentle voice replied.
"What do you mean welcome back, Dido?" Finn was taken aback. Welcome back? Could it be that he had been here before?
