The expense was definitely high. However, for Finn Lewis, it was nothing. What rendered both Finn Lewis and Daniel Pan speechless was that Mr. Humphrey's father came to confront them the very next day filled with rage. Upon meeting Finn, he directly asked Finn if Mr. Humphrey had dumped Scholar Lewis and was planning to marry someone else.
At that question, Finn was speechless. One could easily guess that Scholar Lewis had a hand in this. But at this point, could Finn deny it? All he could do was nod, causing Mr. Humphrey's father to stomp his foot, accuse Finn of having hidden the truth from them, and then leave abruptly, leaving Finn bewildered.
However, looking at it so far, Scholar Lewis seemed to have done a fine job.
"Mr. Finn, we are going ahead. Are you going there tomorrow?" Daniel asked, looking at Finn.
