Finn Lewis's slightly awkward attitude seemed to Cypress Davis to be nothing more than the result of bragging gone wrong, so he scoffed and continued, "You surely don't need my daughter to bail you out sometimes, do you?"
"In this regard, it's true. When we go out to eat, she is usually the one who pays," Finn shrugged, "And oftentimes, I'm just scrounging for a meal." This was malicious on Finn's part, although it's not exactly false. For example, if he said that he gave the Moon of West Lake restaurant to Kay Lee, then he did give it to her. Hence if Finn goes there to eat, it naturally counts as scrounging.
"I initially thought you are decent, but now it seems, you might not be as great as I thought." Cypress Davis jeered at Finn.
