Watching Finn Lewis walk away, Sharp James shook his head. This kid was a serious grudge-holder. He knew exactly why Finn wanted to call Cora Franklin over. Wasn't it blatantly just to annoy that girl? Thinking more about it, he figured he'd be just as furious if he were in her shoes. The boy would rather give it away for free to someone else than give it to her.
In the end, they got nothing out of the situation and had made fools of themselves. But considering what Finn had said, Sharp James thought it might be a smart move to explain the situation to that girl. If she were to go to the press and accuse the police of embezzling confiscated items? He had the donation certificate, sure, but who knows how the media would spin it. Sharp James had no intention of creating more problems for himself.
