"Why won't she even acknowledge us , its ... its as if we're not even here " Dillan asked the man next to him as they both looked at the girl sitting against the wall opposite of the door of the cell with no expression on her face.
First thought was the she was an assassin sent to kill their Emperor . So they resorted to torture, but the moment the weapons made contact with her skin its as if the you were poking her with a feather , not even making a scratch on her skin. The first time one of the guards that were assigned to get answers out of her told him this , he felt like laughing. Soon after the other three guards told him the exact same.
So he had to test it out himself. He tried to cut her skin with his own blade and with his spiritualpowers, it had no affect on her what so ever. He felt he had to deal with this before he involved the Chief ,
The second in comand to the royal gaurd felt frustrated with the girl she has been like this for 3 days not giving anyone the slightest bit of attention, he growled to himself in anger but stop the moment the girl whipped her head up with a killer glint in her eyes and that was the first thing that has gotten Azura's attention .
Her hard work had paid of , she had angered one of the higher ups this was what she wanted. The men suddenly felt threatened. His instinct telling him to run away , far away from this woman, he subconscious took a step back as the womans eyes trailed on him ,and all she did was stand up and smiled at him a smile that made the mans blood run cold.
Azura's chains rattled as she stood to her feet , Anox sat on the inside of her hood that hung at her back. Away from their eyes , she knew if she could pose as a big enough threat to this guy they would call the Chief.
And they man infront of her did just that.
"C-call the Chief immediately , tell him to come to the holding cells now ! " The second in command ,Cazer, said as he told the soldier Dillan next to him , his eyes still on the Azura who was smiling at him , he felt the cold sweat running down his back as he talked .
Dillan ran out the cell and into the hallway shouting at people to move out his way , And into the hallway where the Chiefs office was located , knocking on the door Dillan waited impatiently. "Enter " a deep old voice said.
Ripping open the door Dillan started speaking not looking at the Chief he sank into a bow " Im sorry for my interuption Chief , but Cazer said yiu need to go to the holding cells immediately , not to be rude chief but that person in the cell frightened Cazer it had him stuttering" Dillan blabbering out still in a bow
The Chief who was busy having a conversation with the Emperor was shocked , he trained Cazer himself since he was a little boy . What could have scared him so much fro him to stutter. Chief William looked at the Emperor " im sorry your highness but it seems like we have a problem on our hands if you would excuse me .." William stood up and bowed his head to the Emperor as he waited for an answer.
The Emperor was a man with a deadly aura his black hair was darker than night , his sharp features were slowly dulling out do to his old age , his eyes as red as wine. The Emperor was not to bad looking , even if he was in his laye fifties.
The Emperor looked at Willam and smiled , he had not been entertained in a while so why not tag along ? " I'd like to join you Chief William. " The Chief nodded his head as he straightened up "Very well your highness" Chief William mad a quick motion to Dillan to show them the way.
Meanwhile in the cell Azura was still looking at Cazer when she she spoke for the first time in 3 days " So all it took for me to make you get the Chief was to look at you ?" Haha this was golden , Azura was starting to get bored sitting in a cell with nothing to do .
Cazer was in a daze with the softness of her voice that her words didn't even register in his head . She looked like a deadly angel. And he felt like he was drinking poison and falling in love at the same time
Azura looked the man up and down knowing the Chief would be here in a minute , the man infront of her was not to bad on the eye, as she looked at him , his blind hair looked soft , and his eyes a clear blue, he had a strong body , to bad he was probably like the rest of those males who seeked power.
Just as Azura was about to open her mouth , the door to the holding cells opened and she looked straight into the eyes of her mentor , but what shocked her was her father standing next to him.
Cazer moved out of the way and went to stand at thedood with Dillan as they watched the show unfold.
The Emperor could not believe his eyes , in front of him in the cell stood the splitting image of his wife, the only difference was here hight and her eyes , the same color as his , this was his daughter.
The Chief was also in shock , infront of him stood the girl he mentored before she died. She looked the same but more matured.
"Greetings father , greeting Mentor Bear " Azura put on a show of giving a bow to the people infront of her , this was better that just chief William , now the Emperor was also here. Making her job way easier that she expected it to be.
The Chief was convinced that this was the princess , only she had the guts to call him by his name.
The Emperor could not belief his eyes, this wa really his daughter, his precious daughter. After 6 years of grief and sorrow , her she was. It seemed to good to be true. " How do i know your my daughter , tell me something only the imperial family knows" the Emperor was wary.
The was wat she expected from the man she called her father so she made her eyes water with fake tears" When a baby is born of royal blood directly in line of the Emperor they get a mark on their back by the gods , to show they are the rightful hier of the throne, the mark of a Phoenix sprouting form a lotus will be givin to the female , the males will have a dragon sprouting from the mountains on their backs as well " azura turned around and lifted the shirt from her body to only show her back , and there it was.
A bright red Phoenix flying above a pink and white louts. The Emperor immediately knew this was his daughter . His daughter had returned form the dead. The chief didn't need proof to know that she was the princess.
" Ooh my child come out of the cell and explain to your father how your are alive. " the Emperor spoke to Azura , even if she was unwiling she had to put up a show of being a weak little girl , so she ran up to her father and fell at his feet making the tears fall from her eyes she quickly repeated the lie she came up with a few months back.
" I was kidnapped on my 16th birthday , they came into my room late at night and drugged me,i dont know how they got through the guards father i am terribly sorry for not returning earlier but i tired father i did i escaped them i dont know if they will find me , im scared , i had to sneak into the castle , they have men inside the castle, i dont know who they are but they always know what was happening in the palace , they have people in the palace,"
Planting false words in their heads was the best way to keep them of her track, making her seem like the weak one , " they injected me with this substance that made my skin stronger than steel , just so that they could hit me as they pleased " she had to make up a lie about this before anyone got suspicious if the guards already told them of their experience with not being able to cut he.
The Emperor and the Chief looked at the girl crying at the Emperor's feet and felt sorrowful , yet alarmed they looked at one another and nodded , recently some of the people in the palace were acting weird. So this made the words of the princess seem true.
"Father will task some of his trusted men to be your guards , first let us take you to your mother , i bet she would be happy to see you , now come one. Stand up." The Emperor said to Azura as he patted her head.
Everything is going like it should . Now after she settled herself in , it would be time for step two. These people will know their wrong doings and suffering like the weak has suffered.
