Azrael and Vespera found themselves in a completely different place. The sky was a lovely blend of purple and blue, sprinkled with stars that formed patterns never seen before.
In this realm, vampires of their kind were able to move freely, safe from the sight of humans and other vampires. Some engaged in games of all kinds in groups—those games would be considered quite strange and perhaps slightly disturbing to the human world. Some were hunting creatures for sport, others gathered in small groups, conversing in hushed tones, while a few strolled with a regal poise, surveying the surroundings with practiced eyes.
Azrael observed the scene, reminiscing on the first time he came here with Thanatos, feeling a smile tugging at the corner of his lips.
Ahead of them was a grand mansion that stood out against the skyline. It was a castle of some kind, with tall spires and a towering front gate.
