Azrael's eyes widened in shock as she pulled him along. He stumbled a bit, caught off guard. "Hey, now wait a minute! You can't just drag me off like this!" he protested. "And besides, I never said I wasn't going to help!"
"But you didn't say you were going to help either!" Vespera said. "So I had to take matters into my own hands."
"Now hold on a second!" Azrael said, finally pulling himself free from her grip. "I need some time to think about it."
"We don't have time to think about it. Lives are in danger," Vespera yelled.
Azrael raised his voice, frustration evident. "Why are you just telling me about this now?!"
"It's not my fault! Your energy was elusive. I couldn't sense you, and I had to spend months trying to locate you. Vorath's return caught us off guard, and time is of the essence," Vespera retorted, equally adamant.
