Aurora continued to stare down at the roses in her hand. It didn't feel like something Adrian would have done or would do in the first place.
John observed the bouquet in his daughter's hand and spoke, "Judging from the look of it, those weren't plucked from the garden. Seems like Adrian went for something quite special."
Eleanor chimed in. "They are also quite expensive this season. It looks like he went all the way out for you." She paused, as if considering whether to say something. Her lips parted, but after a second thought, she decided to keep whatever was in her mind to herself.
