Azrael stood still, watching her move further and further. His fingers curled into a fist, and once he was sure she was out of sight, he sprinted in the opposite direction. Running as fast as he could, he let the wind guide him through the familiar hills and into the woods. The woods became dense and dark, trees looming over him, their branches reaching for him. He stood in his tracks, huffing behind a tree when he spotted a deer; his fangs grew wider, and his breathing was heavier than before.

There was a hunger in him, one he had been trying to hold back in front of Aurora. It was like a fire burning through his veins. He did not want to give in, but it was all-consuming.
