Mary, having been in the kitchen for some time, soon returned, her face further hardened, this time by the muddy footprints stained around the house.
"Ahh!" She yelled, turning to her brother and forcefully pulling his hair, dragging him away from Aurora and forcing a groan from his lips. She shot him a stern look. "How can you forget to clean your boots again? I've had it with you."
Adrian yelped in pain, his hand instinctively reaching to cover his head, but her grip was too strong to break free. What was she? A superwoman? He couldn't believe how strong she suddenly was. Despite that, he managed to muster a mischievous grin. "I am just following the messy but charming, obviously, family tradition. You know, like brother, like sister," he said.
Mary's eyes narrowed, and she yanked even harder. "What do you mean, like brother like sister? I am not…"
"Charming?" Adrian interrupted, his grin widening.
