Azrael stared in disbelief at the action and let out a scoff. He could kill this mortal in a snap if he wanted to, but he didn't have time for this. "Aurora," he called out, still keeping his voice low, returning his gaze to her.
Before Aurora could respond, Adrian added, "If this man is bothering you, you know you can always count on me to help," his tone firm. "I won't let anyone hurt you."
Azrael's eyes narrowed, a low growl escaping his lips. "You have no idea what you're dealing with," he said, his voice cold and dangerous. "Let go of my arm."
Aurora's heart raced as she looked back and forth between the two men, not sure what to do. On the one hand, she trusted Adrian to have her best interests at heart. But on the other hand, Azrael's warning rang in her ears.
