Aurora stretched her limbs as she got up from the wooden chair, her body feeling stiff and sore from the uncomfortable position she had slept in. A grimace crossed her face as she massaged her neck, the consequences of a night spent in a chair rather than her own bed.
She cursed the vampire under her breath, her hands clenched to the side as she imagined herself strangling him, but she knew that wouldn't do.
Getting up from where she sat, she walked out of her room towards the living room where, as expected, Eleanor and John were now seated as they had already woken up.
"Good morning, father, mother," Aurora said, shifting her gaze to each of them. Her mother sipping from a cup filled with tea and her father engrossed with the daily paper.
