The gray-black layered stone was hard and dense, and it was covered in a soft weathered layer on the outside. Perhaps because it was next to a lake and had been soaked in water vapor for a long period of time, the surface of these layered stones was a bit slippery and very easy to slip on. Further, moss had grown all about in the crevices between the stacked rocks, making these man-made mountain stones even more dangerous. Even in the daytime, few little creatures dared to scurry around on them.
Except for a little white kitten tonight.
The kitten wasn't big, and its fluff radiated a soft feeling under the moonlight. The pupils of its eyes were covered in an aurora-yellow hue and glowed brightly in the night.
The little white kitten hadn't yet learned how to use the claws between its footpads, it was merely relying on the friction between its paw pads and the man-made mountain stones, as it was vigorously climbing upwards.
