Unlike other officially scheduled courses, the demands on a practicum course instructor are not so stringent.
For instance, a practicum teacher does not need to possess a very prominent specialized academic background, does not need to be proficient in more than three foreign languages, does not need to have more than five years of teaching experience at a higher education institute, and does not need to have directed a large-scale experiment filed with the Wizard Alliance, or the experience of publishing scholarly articles in the highest impact factor journals.
The First University only has two requirements for a practicum teacher: first, to have a registered wizard rank; and second, to possess more than three years of experience in demon hunting (priority will be given to those with experience in hunting teams).
For many young and inexperienced teaching assistants at the First University, there is no better class for them to display their abilities than practicum.
