Every May or June, the four colleges of the First University usher suitable young wizards from the wizarding world to participate in the annual 'Wizard's High School Examination'.
The apprentice wizards who pass the test receive an acceptance letter from the First University - which means they can go further on their wizarding path.
However, wizards who fail the test will find it hard to further their knowledge of advanced magic in their future careers.
It is not an exaggeration to say that this is a life-changing examination for all wizards.
But every year, some young wizards missed this examination for various reasons.
Some were ill, others were traveling.
Many of them missed the exam because they couldn't be reached by the recruitment magic of the First University.
