Madeleine’s POV
This is so embarrassing!
When I sneezed, I could clearly see my snot splattering on the man's shirt.
He looked down and we both fell silent.
Although I have just been pulled out of the water, I still feel hot in my face. I have never experienced such embarrassment. I just don't want to face the world, to face this man!
I had a good idea. I pretended to pass out.
The man was so frightened that he gave me a nudge. "Hello? Hello?"
I didn't move. I closed my eyes and decided to spend the awkward moment in silence. He carried me in his arms. My heart was pounding. It was the first time I was this close to a man! The guys I used to date wouldn't carry me in such a domineering way.
My arms were pressed against his stomach, and I could clearly feel the bulging shape of his ABS under his soggy shirt. I remembered the special smell I smelled on him yesterday. The thought that he might be my fated mate got me thinking.
