I've been having some hung up these days, and one thing keeps popping into my head. It's like a seed that's about to break out of the ground but still hasn't been exposed. I think about it when I eat, when I brush my teeth, when I take a shower, even when I sleep... ...
A few days ago, Charles asked me to take the soldiers on patrol far away at night. He didn't tell me why he did it, but my loyalty to him made it impossible for me to question his orders. When I sent the patrol away, I didn't go far, but stayed in a quiet corner in case anything went wrong.
Everything was calm, except that I heard a scream. I braced myself for a fight, but soon the forest was silent again, as if the scream had been an illusion.
After a while, Charles came out of the forest, alone.
"Where's Kevin?" I chased after him.
