Chapter 18
Charles’s POV
In the darkness, I felt something soft touch my face. It is very warm and very familiar, making me feel at ease and want to be close to it.
I struggled in my dark sleep, trying to wake up. When I finally opened my eyes, I saw long blonde hair, followed by a thin neck, pink lips, and finally a pair of lavender eyes.
"Selena --" I struggled to sit up, and she quickly withdrew her hand from my face.
"What are you doing here?"
Oh, Moon goddess, my head hurts. The blood vessels in my head are about to burst.
"You're awake!" Selena said with a slight agitation. "How are you feeling?"
She subconsciously leaned her body towards me, but soon she seemed to think of something and quickly looked away. She stood at the edge of the bed, biting her lower lip, a little annoyed by her enthusiasm.
I snickered. This woman. I guess she's still shy that we had s.ex yesterday.
