Kayla's POV
Watching Harrison's intense gaze almost sticking to my lips, I shyly averted my eyes, but my breath couldn't help but quicken. However, my shyness seemed to amuse Harrison even more.
He took the initiative to remove his shirt, his robust and firm physique covering a mere few feet from my face, making it hard for me to catch my breath.
"Don't you want to check my wounds, dear?" Harrison said in his magnetic voice.
Hearing Harrison's voice, I turned my head, swallowed hard, and tried to keep my voice calm.
"I think it's not necessary, Harrison."
"Are you sure, baby?" Harrison raised an eyebrow, then leaned down, pressing his cheek against my chest.
"Maybe it's unnecessary, Kayla... because right now, the one with an abnormal heartbeat is you. How about I help you check your body?" he suggested with a smirk.
"I..."
Whether I agreed or refused, before I could say anything, Harrison's kiss invaded, and all the unspoken words vanished in the heat of our kiss.
