Nathan's POV
"Worthless!"
I knelt in silence on the floor of the hall, listening to the furious reprimand echoing from above by the Alpha.
"Such a good opportunity, and you couldn't kill Harrison Morris?"
"Because..."
"That's enough!!"
Klaus's scepter fell heavily on the floor, producing a dull sound that reverberated in the spacious hall, cutting off the explanation I hadn't had a chance to voice.
"Only a worthless person would make excuses for their failure! Tell me, Nathan, are you worthless?! You are the Targary I chose. Could you really be a worthless person?!"
"Of course not, Alpha."
I pressed my forehead against the floor, adopting a posture of repentance. Yet, the corner of my eye was scrutinizing Klaus's white snow fox fur boots, moving in my direction.
"It was indeed my mistake. I didn't anticipate that Harrison Morris would show up at the place where Elizabeth was being held, leading to the death of our team members."
"Death?"
