Kayla's POV
Since the day Harrison coldly left me behind, I haven't been able to exchange a single word with him in the following days.
Even when we occasionally crossed paths in the mansion, Harrison would pass by me with an expressionless face, as if I were just a ghost lingering under the eaves.
Even Daisy sensed that something was wrong.
One day, she approached me with a face full of concern, her tone heavy with sadness.
"Mom, did you and Dad have a fight?" I gently stroked Daisy's little head. Knowing that my daughter was sensitive, I chose not to hide anything and admitted it openly.
"Yes, sweetheart. Mom did something wrong, so Dad is angry with me."
"Then..." Daisy looked at me, hesitating for a moment. "Have you tried apologizing to Dad?"
I nodded. "Of course. But Dad chose not to forgive me."
"Why?" Daisy seemed puzzled. "But the teacher said if a friend apologizes to you, you should make up. Isn't that how it works?"
