Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: Getting Wet

(General POV)

In the headmaster's office at Hogwarts, Savrin was sitting at his desk, while in front of him sat the head of the DMLE, Amelia Bones and the Chairman of the Board of Governors of Hogwarts, Arcturus Black. Savrin had met both of them a few days prior due to the request from Elysia, and after a long conversation with lots of information being brought to light, they were now gathered here to set some things right.

 *Knock!*

*Knock!*

*Knock!*

Three loud knocks sounded at the door, signaling that the person they were waiting on had finally arrived. "Come in, Hagrid!" Savrin called out, beckoning the man to enter the room. Half a second later, the door slowly opened and the half-giant stepped into the room.

"Yer wanted ter see me, Headmaster Sir?" Hagrid asked quietly as he looked at the other people present in the room. "Yes, Hagrid. There is something we wish to discuss with you, so please have a seat." Savrin said as he gestured towards a large chair that Savrin had conjured specifically for the half-giant.

Once Hagrid had taken his seat, Savrin began the introductions. "Hagrid, this is Amelia Bones, head of the DMLE in the Ministry, and of course you know our chairman, Lord Arcturus Black." Savrin said as he gestured to the woman and man respectively, then gestured towards Hagrid and said, "And this here is Rubeus Hagrid, Assistant Care of Magical Creatures instructor, and Gameskeeper of Hogwarts."

Amelia nodded her head towards the half-giant, but Arcturus seemed to be studying him with a critical eye as he looked him up and down. This was not the first, second or even the third time Arcturus was hearing about Hagrid, though this was the first time he had been this close to the man.

"Harry speaks very highly of you, Mr. Hagrid. It is an honor to meet you." Arcturus finally spoke, his words surprising Hagrid as the half-giant looked very uncomfortable. "Jus Hagrid be fine. Me dad was Mr. Hagrid before he died." The half-giant said, earning a nod of understanding from Arcturus.

"With the introductions out of the way, let us move on to business. Hagrid, in 1943 you were accused of unleashing a monster on the school that resulted in the death of a young witch named Myrtle Warren. You spent a week in Azkaban prison while the Wizengamot tried to find evidence of your guilt. Upon finding none, you were released from Azkaban before you were expelled from Hogwarts in your third year of school, and your wand was snapped. Is that correct?" Savrin asked plainly, looking pointedly at the man who looked as though he would break down at any moment.

"Yes sir." Hagrid answered dejectedly, fearing that this was going to be his final day in Hogwarts, after all, Dumbledore wasn't here to defend him anymore, and no one else would speak on his behalf. Frankly, he was surprised he had lasted this long.

"I was informed that Albus Dumbledore put the pieces of your wand into an umbrella so you could perform magic for the school when given permission, correct?" Savrin asked, though he already knew the answer. Not because he had seen it in Dumbledore's memories, which he probably had, but because Elysia had told him so. She evidently knew a lot more about the half-giant than Savrin would have thought, but he wasn't going to question it, at least not right now.

"Y-Yes Sir." Hagrid answered dejectedly with his eyes looking down at his feet. "Might I see it?" Savrin asked expectantly, knowing full well that Hagrid always carried the pink umbrella in his coat pocket.

Reluctantly and with a great deal of effort to keep from shedding tears, Hagrid pulled the pink umbrella from his right coat pocket before he placed it on the desk in front of Savrin, who didn't hesitate to pick it up and look it over carefully.

"Sixteen inches, oak, and… unicorn hair." Savrin mumbled aloud as he looked at the wand that was transfigured into an umbrella. It seemed that Dumbledore had not put the pieces of the wand into an umbrella, but had repaired the wand and transfigured it into an umbrella so no one would know that it was a wand.

Without bothering to hide his actions, Savrin waved his own "wand" (ordinary stick) over the umbrella, at once turning it back into its original wand form. Rather than hand the wand back to Hagrid, Savrin handed the wand over to Amelia Bones who was already rising to her feet.

"Rubeus Hagrid, it has been found that you were wrongly convicted and that the real perpetrator of the attack on Hogwarts in 1943 was none other than Voldemort, or as he was then known, Tom Riddle. I will expunge your record, and from this day forth, you are once again permitted to use magic. However, seeing as you have not had a proper education, you will only be allowed to use magic freely on school grounds until the headmaster has deemed you competent. Furthermore, for your services to the children of our country for the last forty-nine years, I award you the Order of Merlin: Second Class." Amelia paused her speech as she withdrew a beautiful golden medallion which hung on a purple ribbon.

After placing the award around Hagrid's neck, Amelia stepped back as she looked pointedly into the half-giant's dumbfounded eyes. "I cannot even begin to apologize for what the Ministry has done to you, but I hope this small token is a good start." Amelia said sincerely.

Rather than let Hagrid continue to wonder if this was all a dream, Arcturus rose to his feet before addressing the half-giant. "You will be permitted to sit in on classes so long as it's not during the time in which you are expected to be assisting Professor Kettleburn. On top of that, the Headmaster has agreed to renovate your hut, which we hope will be much more suitable for you. This error was the school's fault, and I hope this small act will alleviate some of the pain which was caused to you."

After Amelia spoke, Hagrid had already been struggling to hold back tears, but after Arcturus spoke to him tears were freely running down his face. "Oh thank ye! Thank ye!" Hagrid said between sobs as he rose to his feet, looking the exact opposite from only a few moments before.

"Now, Hagrid." Savrin started as he waved his hand towards a bookshelf on the wall, causing more than a dozen massive books to begin floating over to them. "These are all the new up to date course books for all seven years, plus a few more books relating to topics I think you would find interesting. Vampires, werewolves, dragons, acromantulas, centaurs, giants, unicorns, hippogriffs, goblins, and hundreds more of every creature you can imagine. These books have all of that in them, and I think you would enjoy them. Some of them have yet to be released to the public as of yet, so please take good care of them." Savrin explained, causing Hagrid to nod his head quickly as he tried to stifle his tears.

"One more thing, Hagrid. I want to inform you that everything you do for the school has not gone unnoticed, and you are appreciated. Hogwarts is pleased to have you here, and so long as you wish it, this will always be your home." Savrin said, once more causing Hagrid to burst into tears.

The half-giant departed the room not long after, though as he descended the stairs, Savrin saw Elysia walking alongside Hagrid as she held his hand, though it was clear Hagrid didn't even register the action. 'Obsessive little minx…' Savrin thought internally as he watched the two round the bend in the stairs.

Entering back into his office, Savrin saw Arcturus and Amelia waiting patiently where he had left them while he saw Hagrid out of the room. "Thank you for that. It was long overdue." Savrin said as he moved to sit back in his chair.

"No, thank you. The basilisk was something no one expected, and it should never have been brought into the school. After seeing its remains and hearing everything you've learned about what really happened here, I feel as though something good is finally happening in the school. Righting this wrong to that man, I feel is the least the Ministry can do for him." Amelia said, and she truly meant it too.

The day before, Savrin had walked her and Arcturus through exactly what had happened to the young girl that had been killed all those years ago, and explained how it required a parselmouth to open the Chamber of Secrets.

Savrin also explained how Tom Riddle was Voldemort, and how he was the one who had accused Hagrid of setting a monster loose that killed the girl, something for which he was given an award. Arcturus had already removed any award for Tom Riddle from the school display cases, as well as anything else that even mentioned his name.

Amelia stayed just long enough to discuss some small topics of interest, then departed through the Floo back to her office in the Ministry, though unlike when she arrived, she was leaving with a large box under her arm. In said box was one thousand ACDs, which she would be testing, at least the Aurors under her command would.

Come New Years, she would give her input on the devices and give Savrin any feedback she had on them. Hopefully after that it would be just a few more months before Savrin was able to unveil the new items to the public.

Once Amelia was gone, Arcturus looked at Savrin with a skeptical gaze for a minute before he finally shook his head and asked, "Alright, what was the point of this whole thing? You had the basilisk situation wrapped up without anyone the wiser, so informing the Ministry was pointless. As for Hagrid, I know you don't care about his giant heritage, but I still don't see why you're taking an interest in him. Sure, it was sad he was wrongly accused, but he's not the first, nor will he be the last. Make sense of this for me."

"You're thinking too hard about this Arcturus." Savrin began, earning a scoff from the man. "Don't tell me you're just trying to be a good citizen. You never do anything without a reason." Arcturus stated, not believing that the answer could be so simple. It never was with Savrin.

"Who said I didn't have a reason? Though it may not be for what you think, I did have ulterior motives. The basilisk situation was solved, at least in the eyes of the Ministry, but until now the school has always worried about the Chamber of Secrets and what may live within it. Now however, I have opened the eyes of the Ministry about the problem they didn't know the school had and resolved it in the same breath. Before I had simply been advancing the school, but now I am showing them I can do more than what the previous headmasters have done. I am a man who gets things done, and someone who just erased a basilisk from the world without the help of anyone at all. It shows I am not to be taken lightly." Savrin explained, then paused long enough for Arcturus to digest what he had just said before he continued.

"As for Hagrid, that came with revealing the truth about the basilisk. It also gave me an opportunity to reveal more about Voldemort and his past of being Tom Riddle. People will see this as me being a man who looks after his subordinates, even someone as unimportant as Hagrid. Dumbledore never did that, and people will make the comparison. Giving up the ACDs to Amelia also lets me get testing from professional individuals who will hopefully be trying their best to find flaws in them so I can make improvements. It will get them thinking about advancements, and hopefully look into other areas where they can improve their backward ass medieval thinking." Savrin finished with a smirk at Arcturus, who only rolled his eyes at the explanation.

"So long as it makes sense." Was all Arcturus had to say before he too moved towards the Floo to go home. When he was just about to grab hold of a handful of Floo Powder, Arcturus turned back to Savrin before saying, "Oh yes. Sirius wanted me to tell you that Draco will be returning to school on the 3rd of October. That way he can have Saturday and Sunday to readjust to school before he has to begin his studies again."

"I completely forgot about Draco Malfoy. How is he taking the loss of his parents?" Savrin asked, though he was only somewhat curious. "As well as can be expected. He didn't cry himself to sleep last night, so there is progress there. He does watch that crystal from his mother a lot, but-" Arcturus was saying, but Savrin cut him off by raising his hand and waving him off.

"I really don't care about the feelings of some kid I didn't like in the first place. Just make sure he isn't going to be a problem when he comes back." Savrin ordered, then waved in a clear sign of dismissal.

It was only after Arcturus departed that Savrin leaned back in his chair with his eyes closed. He didn't like dealing with people and their pitiful problems, and he found most of it headache inducing. He was contemplating what he should do next to kill some time when he felt hands touch his shoulders, then they began to knead his joints over and over.

For a few minutes he remained still as the hands moved up and down his neck and over his shoulders, but things took a turn when he felt someone speaking mere inches from his ear. "Dealing with people can be stressful. Let me make it all go away." Elysia said softly as her lips brushed against his ear.

Puzzled, Savrin turned to look at the spirit, but he only got half turned before Elysia seemed to appear in his lap while facing him. Her legs were on either side of his hips and her hands rested on his shoulders. To Savrin's amusement, the spirit wasn't wearing any clothes and he was able to see her for everything she truly was.

She had grown considerably over the last year, and he had to wonder if her physical form had finished growing. It was very impressive, one that reminded him of the high-elves back on Genesis. The proportions of her hips, ass, and tits were already at a state that most humans in this world would only dream about, but that wasn't out of the realm of possibility for a spirit such as Elysia, who was anywhere between five hundred and a thousand years old.

Elysia raised her left hand to touch Savrin's face when he grabbed it so quickly she wasn't even able to react. "What are you doing?" Savrin asked, finding the whole situation to be rather puzzling. Not once had he shown any sign of wanting to engage in carnal activities with the spirit, so this was all rather sudden, especially because she hadn't hinted of wanting to do something like this before either.

"Don't tell me you don't know how humans mate? You've told the others you're not from this world, but surely people can't be that different." She said coyly as she began to grind her pelvis over his own, then she pushed her bosom into his face, or at least she tried to when Savrin pulled her away from him so he could look into her eyes.

"I am very familiar with how humans mate, but neither of us are humans. Nothing you or I do with each other or anyone else for that matter will result in siring an offspring. Spirits like you don't have that luxury, and neither do I. Tell me what is going on or begone from here." Savrin stated, wanting to know what had suddenly gotten into the spirit.

Elysia's sultry expression fell and she turned her head to look away from him. She tried to move herself off of Savrin, but he held her firmly in place by her wrists, and she knew she couldn't overpower him.

Finally after almost a minute of silence she spoke, "Do you know what it's like to see people experience things you'll never get to do? For centuries I've watched children come here and grow. I've watched them form bonds with one another, and I've watched them sever bonds as well. I hear their stories of the outside world, and I've always imagined what it would be like to experience some of the things myself. The number of times I've seen couples enter broom closets and undress one another, I get this warm feeling inside of me." She paused as her pale blue skin seemed to redden slightly around her ears.

"I thought since I now had a body, I could experience something similar to the humans who wander my halls. I tried to dress like the students, but I can't change my appearance. I showed myself to a few different males who I thought looked suitable, but they thought they were seeing a monster and fled. I thought to wait a few more years for Godric or Salazar to get older, but it feels wrong to think about doing something like this with either of them. Like its… sick. For a time I wasn't sure what to do, and I simply resolved myself to playing dress up, but then you saw me. It was only then that I thought maybe you might be interested in me, but you never showed any sign that you cared.`` She paused here as she looked at him, but Savrin already suspected what she was going to say.

"That was why you asked me to help Hagrid. You wanted to see how far I would go for you." Savrin said, making sense of this whole thing.

"That's not true!" She cried out, then her face reddened even more as she added, "Well, not entirely true. Hagrid has been with me longer than anyone. He's taken care of me, and he was wrongly accused because of a monster that resided inside of me. Something inside of me broke the day he was expelled, and not just because the girl died. He was always so sweet and kind, I felt I needed to help him." She paused to look him over and try and see if she could gain anything from his expressions, but Savrin was as unreadable as ever.

"I did want to see if you would actually help me, and when you did I was so happy. I thought or rather, I hoped you would also be like humans and want to… well, you know." She finished while staring at the floor so she didn't have to see Savrin's face.

Letting go of one of her wrists, Savrin reached up and turned Elysia's head so she was looking at him. "Be honest with me. Is this something you really want?" He asked her, earning wide eyes in response, and it wasn't because of what he said. She felt something begin to harden beneath her, and if watching humans for the last few hundred years was any indication, she knew exactly what it was.

Without saying anything further, Elysia leaned forward and pressed her lips to Savrin's, experiencing what it was like to kiss someone for the first time in her life. When the kiss broke she felt Savrin's hands reach down and grab hold of each of her ass cheeks before she was lifted into the air.

She thought he might carry her into his bedroom, but that thought disappeared when she was placed down on the desk and Savrin's clothes were ripped from his body and stored away into his pocket dimension.

It was only then she saw exactly what she would be working with, and she had to admit that she was rather excited. If the kiss had been exciting, what she was going to experience was going to be otherworldly.

 (General POV)

The next morning at breakfast, Godric and the others were all gathered around the table eating breakfast and making small conversation. "Did any of you feel the castle shake last night?" Rowena asked, looking to everyone present, though her eyes lingered on Salazar's, Godric's, and Helga's more than the others.

"Yeah! It felt like there was an earthquake. Well, a few earthquakes. It happened a lot last night." Godric said, thankful that he hadn't been the only one to feel it. When he had asked Harry and the other boys in his room, they all said they hadn't felt it.

"I didn't feel any shaking." Salazar said tiredly, and it was only then that Godric noticed the bags under his eyes. Looking around the table, Godric noticed Helga, Susan, Hannah, and Sally all had the same tired eyes as Godric. Looking down the Hufflepuff table, Godric saw how most of the students looked as though they didn't get any sleep. 'Come to think of it, the Slytherin students all look tired too.' Godric told himself as he inspected the far table of tired students.

"Okay, I'll bite. Did the Slytherins and Hufflepuffs have a party last night that I wasn't invited to?" Godric asked the question to anyone from the two houses that would answer him.

"No!" Helga scowled in annoyance. Rather than answer, Susan, Sally, and Hannah's faces all reddened in embarrassment, and none of them looked as though they would answer the question.

"Oh come on! What happened?" Godric asked, this time the question was directed solely at Salazar. "Someone was moaning last night." Salazar finally answered, much to Godric's confusion.

"Moaning? Like in pain or… oh. OH!" Godric said, realizing what they were talking about. It took a few seconds, but eventually he burst out laughing. "You all couldn't sleep because someone was having a good time!" He wheezed out as he was practically rolling on the floor.

"Stuff it you degenerate!" Helga growled as she shot a stinging hex at Godric, who didn't even register the pain because he was laughing so hard. It took a few minutes, but eventually Godric was able to calm down enough that he was able to sit back down in his seat.

"So who was it?!" He asked excitedly, hoping to get the details. "We don't know. The dungeons were completely searched last night, but no one could figure out who was making the noise or where it was coming from. I honestly thought it might have been one of your pranks." Salazar answered.

"We don't know either." Helga chimed in. "We searched the whole main-floor of the castle and couldn't find anything."

"How long did it last?" Godric asked, actually curious because everyone shouldn't be this tired if it was just an hour or two. "From just before lights out to sunrise." Salazar answered, causing Godric to let out a low whistle in response. "Impressive." He said, respecting a man who could go that long and a woman who could take it.

 *FLASH!*

Godric was brought out of his musings when a bright flash of light impacted his eyes and he momentarily couldn't see. He would have thought someone was attacking him, if not for the fact that this wasn't the first time this had happened.

"Damn it, Colin! We've told you to warn people before you do that!" Godric growled angrily as he rubbed at his eyes. "Sorry about that, Godric! I left the flash on!" The excitable new first-year, Colin Creevey cried out, though he didn't sound sorry in the least.

"Wait until I get my hands on you, boy!" Salazar hissed viciously, vowing revenge on the little boy for blinding him, not once, not twice, but three times now!

"You better run, Colin! Because if Salazar doesn't strangle you, I will!" Rowena warned, though she didn't sound nearly as murderous as Salazar. Still, it was not a pleasant feeling to be blinded, especially by a first-year muggle-born who didn't know a lick about magic.

When they were all able to see once more, Salazar looked around the room for the boy who had blinded him, but he couldn't see hide nor hair of him. "I don't know how he keeps appearing out of nowhere, but the next time I see him, I'm going to break his camera into smithereens." Salazar promised, deciding that he didn't care if the little boy was able to bring home pictures to show his family.

"Ever since that first day when we got back to Hogwarts, he's been around every corner with that blasted thing. If I didn't know any better, I'd think he was a genius at getting around the school." Godric said, sounding a little impressed at Colin's ability to traverse the school.

"Hey! You've got to come see this!" Neville shouted as he came running over to them. "Calm down, Neville. What happened?" Godric said, hoping to get his friend to take a breath. "The school! Something is happening to it!" Neville cried as he pointed towards the large doors leading out of the room.

After sharing a look, everyone got to their feet before they took off down the aisle between the tables, though it seemed they weren't the only ones. Apparently word was spreading that something was happening outside, and everyone wanted to get a good look at it.

Arriving outside the Great Hall, they saw a large crowd gathering, and it wasn't hard to see what they were staring at. Near the cliffs overlooking the Black Lake, a large structure was forming, and it looked as though it was attaching itself to the school, almost like it was a new building, though it looked unlike anything they had ever seen before.

They watched things twist and turn as the building rose higher and higher and features to the building were added, like windows and doors and weird designs, though weirdly enough, there was only one door despite what how it appeared, and none of the windows could see into the building so everyone was unsure what the point of them was.

A little more than ten minutes later and the building looked to have calmed down considerably, and everyone was whispering about what just happened. Thankfully they didn't need to wait long for answers, because soon enough the headmaster arrived and walked over to the building.

"You are all probably are wondering what just happened! This building here is the new swimming pool for the school! It is indoor, and will be perfectly accessible all year round! As for why it was made, I believe you can all thank the students who pooled their points from the trials together to afford this! The building is heavily enchanted, so be warned, tampering with anything inside of here will not be tolerated! Those of you with a mind to use this room for your pranks, you would find yourselves severely punished!" Savrin explained, much to the shock of everyone present.

"I didn't know we could use our points like this!" Salazar said in disbelief. "Me either." Rowena added, staring dumbly at the new structure.

"Pretty awesome, isn't it!" A seventh-year Ravenclaw boy said from beside them, looking quite pleased at the new building. "Did you have something to do with this, Kylan?" Rowena asked the boy that none of the others had ever met.

"Yup!" He said proudly. "Me and a few friends pooled our points together after we learned we could get stuff like this. We've been taking the trials constantly whenever we had an hour to kill." The boy now known as Kylan explained.

"There's a waterpark in there!" Harry shouted as he came running over to them, obviously he had already gotten a look at the inside of the building. "Of course there is! Did you think we'd just ask for a small pool with a diving board? If it was made to spec, there should be a sandy beach in there too!" Kylan said, drawing all eyes to him.

"A beach? Like, near the ocean?" Neville asked, not sure he thought that was possible. "No, it's not the ocean. We didn't want to swim in salt water, though that was an option. It's more like a sandy beach near a lake. The ceiling should even be enchanted to always have a bright blue sky too." Kylan answered, explaining a bit more on the matter.

He and his friends were all muggle-born, and they had hoped to bring something from their world into the magical world to hopefully liven things up. Having a waterpark that was more magical than anything else in this world was a pretty good start.

"This sounds brilliant! Let's go check it out!" Godric said, then immediately he was off, pushing his way to the front of the crowd of students like a bulldozer through a pile of sand. As soon as he made it through the doors, Godric was left speechless at the sight before him.

Though the building didn't look all that big on the outside, it was downright massive on the inside. The building was almost square on the outside, but it was round inside, with a diameter of what Godric guessed to be half a kilometer, which was ridiculous, even for someone who was an expert in enchanting.

The lake itself took up most of the space, and to say it was beautiful would have been an understatement. There was also a building very close to the entrance where Godric could see separate change rooms for boys and girls, with what looked to be lockers to hold your stuff inside them.

What really caught his eye would probably be the massive structure that had more than five giant waterslides, surfing currents, a winding river that looked awesome, diving boards, and a plethora of other things Godric had never seen before.

Just like Kylan had said, there was indeed a beach that surrounded the lake, and spread across a section of it were chairs and umbrellas that didn't really make a whole lot of sense to Godric, but when he realized he was squinting he looked up and got another surprise. There on the ceiling was the sun. Not a bright light that looked like the sun, but the actual orbiting the Earth, Sun.

'He just couldn't use warming enchantments, he just had to use the damned sun.' Godric mumbled internally, impressed as everyone else as he stared at the awesome "Swimming Pool" as Savrin called it.

"It's official. This will be my new home." Godric said aloud, already imagining spending all of his free time here, especially during the winter when it was so damn cold outside.

"During the summer you can spend as much time as you want here, Mr. Gryffindor but right now you and everyone else here is late for class. You would do well to move your ass before I use it as my new pincushion." Professor Berrycloth's voice rang out, causing most students to begin fleeing the building.

"You couldn't give me just a few minutes to take this all in?" Godric said to the man as he moved to leave the building. "I didn't even get to go look at the diving boards." Godric mumbled under his breath, though Professor Berrycloth still heard him.

"I don't like interruptions in my class, so when you get there after drying off, don't cause a scene." Professor Berrycloth said, but Godric didn't make sense of it until it was too late. Scarcely had he heard the words before the ground beneath his feet rose up like a spring platform and he was rocketed into the sky, and a dozen seconds later he was crashing down in the center of the lake.

"Stupid fucking Slytherins are cunts!" Godric growled as he began swimming towards the edge of the lake. Internally, he was already planning ways to get back at the DADA professor, and he would enjoy every second of it.
