The last man standing, Benimaru, faces his brother ready to go all out. He hasn't even noticed that he now has a sharingan yet, the next round is all he is thinking about. Yo had thoroughly shown his strength and not only that, he must be repaid for that earlier humiliation. "Elder brother, I must acknowledge you are indeed a raging sun shining bright. However, today I will show you there are two suns in the sky."
"Oh, two suns?" Yoriichi asks squinting up into the sky. "I only see the one, is the other one hiding? Maybe it isn't bright enough to see?" Yo taunts his brother with a straight face. Being the sun is his thing, and if someone is going to try and lay claim in his territory they had better come fiercely.
"You'll see its radiance soon enough," not giving any thought to his taunts Benimaru simply took his stance. He is sure his blessings are no less powerful, and even if Yoriichi is currently more powerful Beni had far more battle experience. Victory wasn't impossible.
The tension is practically palpable as the two of them face off. All of the spectators watch with held breath for who would make the first move. It is Yoriichi who acts first, doing something that surprises everyone. He deactivates his shikai!
"You're reducing your power. Are you-"
Seeing his brother visibly offended Yoriichi puts a hand up. "This isn't an insult to you Beni, it's an honor to him." He nods to the sleeping Itachi. "I only showed you all this power to celebrate Itachi's entering a new realm. You'll understand once you get a zanpakuto yourself."
"Don't make up some excuse to hold back, you'll regret that decision."
"Hahaha don't worry I have plenty more left in store for you." Yo says with a smirk as the few wounds he did suffer heal instantly. "Besides since you just awakened the sharingan, I want to do this more…traditionally."
"Traditionally?" Benimaru questions getting more on guard.
"Yes. First is genjutsu," Yo answers as his red eyes open wide, casting a genjutsu on the unsuspecting Benimaru.
'What is this!?!' Benimaru thinks to himself unable to speak, hardly able to move for that matter. A familiar sensation, one that he hated more than anything. He was like a helpless baby again. To make matters worse he felt a crippling pain every time he tried to move. The pain was unlike any pain he had ever felt. Assessing his situation, he realizes this isn't even his body. This person had dark skin like the people of the cloud, or so he has been told. This must be Yoriichi's previous life. This was definitely a genjutsu. He wants to turn and look around, but it feels like countless needles stabbed into every part of his body when he tries. Looking upward Benimaru can't help but think that these people standing over him are giants. No that can't be right, was this body just that small?! He is in a hospital connected to all forms of devices and tubes, that perform many of his body's most basic functions for him. The steady beeping noise is his only solace from the silence.
The scene changes the boy is not connected to the machines anymore, but he lays lifelessly staring at the ceiling in a soft bed, several tubes still run through his body.
"Didn't you say he would die as a baby? How is he four?!" A woman's voice could be heard talking in a distressed voice.
"Ma'am you should be happy your son is alive. This is nothing short of a miracle. His condition has his nerves are completely rewired, his pain receptors are amplified to at least ten times ours on a good day, just breathing for him is comparable to a toe getting stubbed repeatedly. He is fighting to live why aren't you supportive of him?!" Another woman's voice responds passionately.
"Who do you think you are talking too?! Since his no-good father ran off, and I can finally can remarry. I don't want my new husband to think I am defective, because of this, this…waste!" She starts to storm off but the other woman grabs her arm.
"You can't really mean that? How-"
The woman jerks her arm away. "I don't care what happens to him. Don't ever bother me about the boy again!" The woman who Beni determines to be Yo's previous mother snaps. A sharp pain hits him in the chest, not like the excruciating feeling of ice and fire his body constantly feels, no, this is a wound to the heart.
Having no legal guardian, no one can object to the extra series of tests run on him. The doctors tell the boy the same thing they told his mom. He has a rare nerve disease, that will paralyze him, impair and cause pain unimaginable until he eventually wears away. They say the boy won't live passed another year.
Through some unknown miracle the boy lives on to be nine years old. Despite this, his days were still spent confined to a bed, still hooked up to tubes that did what his body was too weak to do. The doctors were nice enough to put a TV in the ceiling, he generated a lot of money in research grants since he was a barely living miracle. He began like any other kid with cartoons, stumbling from that to superhero shows, finding his way to anime, a lot of his body didn't work but his brain compensated working extra hard. He learned multiple languages from the subtitles on TV eventually becoming fully literate. This got him attention from the hospital, who got the nurse who spoke up for him to be his personal nurse. A pretty redhead college girl named Janice(Benimaru notes she looks similar to Kushina), he generated revenue for the hospital just with a blood sample. On days it didn't hurt too much to talk, he'd ask her about any and everything he could think of.
Eventually the boy begins to study his body and realize while painful, he could use that weak body of his, but he could hardly muster any strength let alone move in a coordinated manner. The diseases causes the signals mix constantly, he could think to move his index finger and turn his head, or anything else. The boy had such a hungry mind the staff got him a voice controlled laptop so that he could research and learn more about the world outside. Learn he did, the boy read all kinds of stories, watched tutorials and tours, read articles, binged video series, whatever seemed interesting. After all he only had time to spare, read medical articles, fanfictions, took online courses, all that from a bed.
Years later the boy continued to defy fate, as he managed to reach adulthood. Not that he could drive, get a job, go to war, or even go have a drink, his condition still kept him confined to his bed. Still no sign of the woman who had left him there, his only friends were his discord group and his mother figure the nurse who still takes care of him. His control of his motor functions is much better, but as it improves he gets sicker the pain is more intense. Still his determination wasn't anything to scoff at. He often thought about what he could do to change the world with his own hands, and the idea that came to him was simple 'send a message they won't forget'. Benimaru watches and begins to tear up because he knows what comes next. Yo begins streaming he first post on his medical condition, answering questions about his life while he waits as more and more people fill up the stream. Once it reaches a million viewers, he acts.
"This isn't some sob story video or a pity party." He says he begins to sit up, much to Beni and everyone at homes dismay his groans of pain sound like a dying animal but he doesn't stop. He swings his legs down to the floor. Luckily, he was a twig so when they landed on the floor he only screamed a little. He pushes up and falls down screaming. At this point people in the comments are asking where the staff are and even calling the hospital but only Yo knows at this point in time he has a few minutes when no one can hear him. The shifts and distance between offices and his room, plus its payday. They're a little busy.
He finally pushes himself to his feet blood running from his nose and mouth. He grits his teeth using his arm he swings his leg forward, putting it ahead of the other a step.
"This first step is for all the children like me, who will never get a fair shot at life remember never ever give up, defy fate! Move forward!" He shouts blood spewing from his mouth as he takes his other leg and matches it with this one, by now his eyes are rolling, blood from his left ear, into his black curls, but no one can look away not the fifty million viewers online or Benimaru.
"That second step is for the parents of kids like us, we know it hurts to see us like this, we can't imagine how hard it is for you, but remember we are the sick ones. We NEED you, even if it hurts, even if you don't think so… We do, so help us fight! Don't abandon us!" that shout was louder than he was capable of making him almost fall but luckily a table was there for him to lean on.
"AGHHHHHHHHH" falling into the table in this state was like falling from a plane, on fire. Beni felt it all but he also felt Yo's mind his determination. He watched as he began to push himself to a standing position by himself, without the help of his arm this time his leg took a small slide forward.
"This final step is for the doctors, we aren't just paychecks and projects. Even it is a job, your job is to save lives. Never forget why the average person looks up to you more than police, teachers, and even politicians. Stand on the oath you take. Please! We need you too! Lastly, in this life nurse Janice will always be my only mother, love you bye-bye mama." Coughing blood as his eyes begin to roll back, the time on the video says eleven minutes exactly.
The image freezes on a ninety pound man bleeding from almost everywhere, by now he has already crashed several sites, but they open more to look in the comments their isn't a single troll or a single grossed out all person in all of humanity regardless of age, nationality, or race just watched as the boy died standing proudly the very embodiment of human will.
