This Is Life! . . .
Cha Eun Xiao couldn't resist the urge to playfully slap Li Wuliang's face.
"Naturally, I'm every bit as much a stunning beauty as she is. No one should question that," he mused.
Li Wuliang decided to get more serious and raised his hands in a gesture of surrender. "Alright, let's focus on the matter at hand. I don't have an issue with accepting your change; after all, we're brothers. However, what are you going to tell her? Do you think she'll accept this transformation, or do you believe you know how to speak to her?"
Cha Eun Xiao was troubled by these questions. "I've been worrying about it, honestly. It's the biggest concern on my mind. I know I'll have to confront it eventually, but..."
Li Wuliang sighed, his brow furrowed. "It's a tough situation. You see, women are nearly impossible to comprehend. Once they decide something is right, it's set in stone. Nothing can sway them. You'll just have to accept it. But, we can't predict whether she'll accept you."
Li Wuliang pointed out, "In the end, you're still the same Cha Eun Xiao, but with a different body. You're the only one who can figure out how to make things right."
To avoid the stress of the impending conversation, Cha Eun Xiao swiftly shifted the topic. "So, where's your Fierce Sword?"
Li Wuliang retrieved his beloved weapon from the feathers, running his fingers along its blade. "It's right here. What about your Monarch's Sword?"
Cha Eun Xiao sighed. "It's lost."
Memories of the intense battle against the three factions and the moment his sword disappeared flooded his mind. "I was fighting seven Dao Origin Stage cultivators at once, and the sword flew away. I have no idea who ended up with it."
Li Wuliang realized the tremendous sacrifice Cha Eun Xiao had made to avenge him, resulting in the loss of his precious Monarch's Sword.
"Please don't cry," Li Wuliang responded. "I can't bear to see you cry. There's no need to dwell on it. We're brothers."
They agreed to focus on helping Li Wuliang regain his cultivation. Cha Eun Xiao began to investigate the peculiar dual powers within Li Wuliang.
However, Li Wuliang had more immediate concerns. "But right now, you should fetch me some clothes. You can't leave me naked all the time. Have you developed a fondness for naked men? And while you're at it, bring some food. It's been ages. And some liquor too; I haven't had a taste in two years. I've been living like an animal."
Cha Eun Xiao chuckled.
Their Boundless Space had an abundance of supplies, making it easy to accommodate Li Wuliang's requests. As he dressed, ate, and drank, Li Wuliang spoke with Cha Eun Xiao.
The humor of the moment couldn't be denied. "What kind of fool stores clothes and food in a space ring? How was I to know I'd be stuck in this place for two years?"
Furthermore, Li Wuliang revealed that his space ring had been damaged during the tumultuous battle, further adding to his hardships. He indulged in the simple yet satisfying food and drink. His swift consumption was both impressive and piggish.
He quipped while enjoying his meal, "Even a cold and hard flatbread becomes tasty in your mouth. I see. In a few more years, you might even start enjoying eating something fresh and soft... like..."
Li Wuliang wasn't about to sugarcoat his feelings. "Piss off!" he shouted at Cha Eun Xiao.
With a disdainful roll of his eyes, Cha Eun Xiao retorted, "Everything you're eating, drinking, and wearing is mine, and you tell me to piss off without a word of gratitude? You must be really itching for a good beating, huh?"
After Li Wuliang had consumed his fill of food and drink, he decided it was high time to address his personal hygiene. With unwavering determination, he stripped off his attire and made an unapologetic dash out of the cave, completely naked. Out in the open, he used the snow to wash his body, cleansing himself thoroughly. Once satisfied, he employed his Fierce Sword to meticulously trim his unruly beard and hair. His grooming session completed, he returned to the cave and donned the clothes Cha Eun Xiao had prepared. Li Wuliang found fault with the fit and grumbled that Cha Eun Xiao was no longer a real man.
An indignant Cha Eun Xiao couldn't hold back. "Screw you! Of course my clothes are smaller. Just look at your big, fat body. If you dislike them so much, why don't you strip and go au naturel?"
Li Wuliang opted for silence. He laid back on the bed that Cha Eun Xiao had fashioned, stretching his legs comfortably. The warmth and fragrance of the sun-soaked quilt enveloped him, prompting him to express, "It's been so long... This feels like real life now."
Cha Eun Xiao scoffed, "What do you know about life? Spare me your musings. Tell me about that peculiar power within you now. I don't have all day to indulge your tales of life."
Li Wuliang, rather miffed, retorted, "What else do you want to know about that power? Just stop bothering me. I want to sleep!"
Cha Eun Xiao's patience ran thin. "Fine. I won't ask again. You've eaten my food, consumed my liquor, worn my clothes, and slept on my quilt. I don't see why I should hesitate any longer." He grabbed Li Wuliang's arm and infused it with a surge of pure spiritual energy. The energy coursed through Li Wuliang's arm at a rapid pace.
Li Wuliang took it in stride. Yawning, he shut his eyes and soon fell into a deep slumber, experiencing a rare, peaceful rest.
In this moment, in front of him, he could genuinely relax. It was Cha Eun Xiao who would unquestionably seek vengeance for him. Cha Eun Xiao was the only person who could possibly locate him in this desolate place. His faith in Cha Eun Xiao was vindicated.
It had been a grueling two years. Li Wuliang hadn't known restful sleep for that duration. No matter how drowsy he became, he merely closed his eyes for brief respites before Cha Eun Xiao arrived. During those two years, he hadn't experienced the comfort of sleeping on a quilt. Now, at last, he was able to. The presence of his loyal brother brought him a sense of security that allowed him to relax after his two years of suffering. Within a few seconds, he was sound asleep.
