Can't Help…
Cha Eun Xiao's initial confusion gave way to an unexpected turn of events. Inside the Boundless Space, the egg exhibited erratic behavior, leaping up and down, ruthlessly striking the walls as it absorbed the spiritual qi from the tea. It was as though it were demanding, "Give me more of that essence! Drink more! Drink, drink, drink, drink, drink!"
It seemed to threaten, "I'll knock you senseless if you don't comply! I'll pummel the yolk out of you, or maybe even out of myself!"
Cha Eun Xiao was left reeling from the relentless battering. In his spiritual mind, he couldn't help but grumble, "Rascal! You want it that badly? Fine, I can't digest all of it anyway. But you better leave me some! Doesn't the landlord deserve a share of the harvest? Aren't you being too greedy..."
The egg, appearing to flutter and convey its remorse, seemed to say, "I completely forgot! My apologies. I'll reserve some for you, I promise! I definitely will!"
Convinced by this, Cha Eun Xiao took another sip.
But the cycle repeated. He struggled with the qi in his throat, and the egg began its rapid rotation. It absorbed the colorful spiritual qi and resumed its wall-banging antics to encourage Cha Eun Xiao...
This time, Cha Eun Xiao didn't rush. He had secured a promise from the egg. Thus, he decided to absorb the essence first and experience the colorful spiritual qi. However, when he examined it with his spiritual mind, he found nothing.
[Nothing?
Impossible!]
Upon closer examination, his frustration mounted. Well, the egg had indeed kept its promise. It hadn't taken it all. Instead, it had left him a minuscule portion—a narrow strand of colorful spiritual qi, as thin as a strand of hair, dangled within his Jing and Mai...
All that prodigious spiritual qi had vanished, leaving behind this minuscule amount!
"Is this all you've left for me? You might as well have taken it all! Are you trying to send me away?!" Cha Eun Xiao fumed in his spiritual mind. He would have gladly tossed the egg into a pot and boiled it. "What's the difference?!"
The egg resumed its flattery and urged once more, "I'm sorry... but you have to drink more, please..."
Deep within, Cha Eun Xiao quelled his anger. Despite his vexation, he recognized that benefiting the egg ultimately benefited himself. While he begrudgingly accepted the situation, he sipped a bit more tea. The egg started moving again, leaving a greater portion for Cha Eun Xiao.
Yet, even with this increased portion, if there were a hundred portions of the colorful spiritual qi, Cha Eun Xiao had only secured one!
Nonetheless, it was no small quantity.
He felt somewhat content that the egg, known for its meticulousness, had actually provided him with this much...
In essence, the portion he received was as much as he could bear.
Should it have given him more, he might have found himself pleading with the egg to absorb even more on his behalf—a rather embarrassing prospect!
Repeatedly, he drained his cup of tea.
At the bottom of the tea cup lay three leaves from the Heavenly Destined Tree. They exuded a splendid and magnificent colorful glow.
Cha Eun Xiao gazed upward in sheer amazement. "Truly exceptional tea. Unique and exceptional."
Master Bai regarded him with profound astonishment and made no move to refill the tea cup.
With a laugh, Cha Eun Xiao spoke in wonder, "Splendid! I'll do it myself. Allow me..."
And with that, he reached for the teapot in front of Master Bai and refilled his own cup. As he did, the vibrant glow once again illuminated the scene, radiating as magnificently as before.
Cha Eun Xiao took up the cup, relishing the divine liquid, sip by sip. In the Boundless Space, the enigmatic egg spun and twirled. Its motion was so bewildering that it was unclear whether it was executing these acrobatics by its own volition or was perhaps pinned in some invisible cosmic dance.
After Eun Xiao had refilled his cup for the sixth time, the iridescent brilliance vanished from the tea. It transformed into an ordinary cup of tea, exuding a typical fragrance. No longer was it suffused with the overwhelming spiritual qi.
Had they transitioned into consuming conventional tea at this point?
Eun Xiao clicked his tongue in curiosity, raising the cup to his lips and taking another sip.
Meanwhile, the egg continued its ceaseless gyrations. As the tea's aroma infiltrated the egg, it abruptly began to tremble. Then it reversed course, vomiting a tray...
"I don't want this!"
"I refuse anything less than perfection!"
Eun Xiao quipped, "Heh, heh. Monarch Feng is truly exceptional." Master Bai raised the cup gracefully and sipped from it. A satisfied smile played on his lips. "You can digest the essence of the Heavenly Destined Tea within seconds. Remarkable."
However, Eun Xiao's current demeanor seemed odd...
[What is he doing?]
Master Bai's expression shifted as he grew wary. [Is he going to spit again? I cannot endure another faceful!]
Then he heard...
- Puff! -
- Puff puff! -
A series of flatulent sounds ensued. Eun Xiao was shamelessly grinning but appeared rather abashed.
Clearly, he had indulged in an excess of tea. For some inexplicable reason, it had caused him to produce dozens of flatulent emissions!
While it was a common bodily function, one couldn't stifle it forever. But these flatulent emissions weren't merely odoriferous; they bore a faint, shimmering rainbow hue...
This spectacle, as brilliant as it was, was observed solely by Master Bai.
Coughing, Eun Xiao surrendered, "Well, that... I held it in here, but couldn't hold it down there..."
Master Bai was poised to drink the tea. Suddenly, his facial expression shifted dramatically.
It was as though he were about to retch instantly...
Master Bai could attest that, in all his lengthy existence, this was the first time he'd experienced such a sensation! He was feeling utterly disheartened by the person before him...
Nonetheless, the truth bore out his premonitions. [This man used a unique method to absorb most of that spiritual qi, but he cannot process it all. Although he managed to retain some, it was only a small fraction. The rest... uh... had to be released in the form of... a fart...
But... it's revolting!]
At present, Master Bai, despite his current weakness and infirmity, remained an extraordinary cultivator, leagues above ordinary individuals. The impure emissions from human bodies were something he hadn't been confronted with for many years. Such behavior, so shocking, seemed entirely bizarre to him now. As a man of his stature, no one had ever dared to act so indelicately in his presence. What Cha Eun Xiao had just done left him dumbfounded.
For Eun Xiao, it was a disconcerting experience. [What on earth is happening? This is so mortifying... Well, thankfully, it's Feng Zhiling who's been embarrassed, not me...]
