Chapter 235 - How About A Maid 2

How About A Maid 2 . . .

Even in her naked state, Cha-Eun Xiao's thoughts remained far from inappropriate. Instead, a sense of reverence and protection enveloped him, like a guardian of a pure white lotus about to unfurl its petals—an entity to be cherished, not objectified.

He couldn't help but marvel at her striking beauty, even though her body bore the scars of severe injuries. Her innate allure shone through the wounds, leaving him to ponder how astonishingly captivating she would be when completely healed.

"Indeed... men yearn for a wife for good reason," Cha-Eun Xiao reflected, his inexperience in such matters apparent. Having never seen a naked woman before this moment, his thoughts were a whirlwind of curiosity and innocence.

To quell any undue thoughts, he mentally reminded himself that this girl was destined to become his maid, not a stranger. This reaffirmation allowed him to continue his diligent work, tending to her from head to toe.

The laborious task consumed hours, and it wasn't until the following noon that he finally completed it. Song Jue, the steward of the Cha Clan, had called to him once during this period, but Cha-Eun Xiao politely declined entry, assuring him that he would soon be finished. Song Jue, understanding the extensive cleanup required after the heavy rain, accepted this explanation and left with a murmur.

Post-rainfall, there was much work to be done within the Cha Clan's residence to restore order and tidiness.

Song Jue, fulfilling his role as steward of the Cha Clan, understood his responsibilities. He diligently set about the task of managing the aftermath of the heavy rainfall, overseeing the necessary cleanup and restoration efforts within the Cha Clan's residence.

Inside the room where Cha-Eun Xiao had been tirelessly working to mend the girl's injuries, the final, delicate sound of a rib sliding into place reverberated. He gingerly withdrew his hands from her chest, marking the successful completion of an arduous and painstaking process.

As his hands left her, he noticed a gentle quiver in the girl's chest—a natural reaction given the situation. Her womanly form was a stark contrast to the previous fragility and vulnerability she had displayed. An inexplicable impulse overcame Cha-Eun Xiao, compelling him to reach out and softly touch her, his fingers grazing her smooth, flawless skin. The sensation sent a jolt through his body, making his heart race, flushing his face a deep crimson.

"Ah... my maid," he mumbled, grappling with the complex emotions welling up within him. "She is as precious as a woman to me."

The feeling was both exhilarating and confusing, and he desperately sought reasons to justify another touch. After a moment's contemplation, he dismissed the thought, acutely aware of his own embarrassment. Hastily, he reached for the quilt and covered her, maintaining the appropriate distance.

Once again, he administered three blue water drops into her mouth, a ritual that had become both a source of hope and a symbol of their shared journey towards her recovery.

Relief washed over him as he envisioned the girl returning to full health in approximately six months. The satisfaction of having made the right choice to save her life filled him with optimism.

With the girl still in a deep coma, her face bore a healthier complexion. While her pallor remained, a hint of rosy color graced her cheeks, enhancing her ethereal beauty. She lay on the bed like a slumbering goddess, exuding an aura of tranquility and grace.

Occasionally, her pale lips moved, adding an extra layer of delicacy to her serene countenance.

As Cha-Eun Xiao watched over her, his gaze conveyed the reverence and awe he felt, akin to safeguarding a priceless treasure. Finally, he rose from his seat, limbs stiff from sitting for an entire day, and stretched, the satisfying pop of his bones breaking the silence.

"She should be awake soon," Cha-Eun Xiao confidently stated before stepping out of the room. He swiftly dispatched a servant to instruct the cook to prepare nourishing food, and then he diligently penned a prescription, dispatching one of the blood guards to procure the required medicines.

Song Jue, his brows knitted with concern, approached him with a questioning look. "What happened? Are you injured? Why do you need those medicines?"

"Not me," Cha-Eun Xiao replied with a gentle smile, proceeding to recount the events that had unfolded. "The girl is still in a coma. It's quite perplexing. The person who defeated her must be an incredibly powerful cultivator. But why would someone of such strength ruthlessly harm an ordinary, defenseless girl like this?"

Song Jue furrowed his brows, deep in thought, but was unable to provide any answers. He entered the room to examine the girl, emerging shortly afterward, his hands clasped behind his back. A nod of approval accompanied his remark, "She is indeed a beautiful girl."

Cha-Eun Xiao nodded in agreement. "Certainly. I was thinking that, given her formidable enemy, it might not be safe for her to leave once she awakens. It's evident that her adversary wishes her dead. What if I offer her a place by my side as a maid?"

"That's a wise proposition," Song Jue responded. "Although she's severely injured and currently unconscious, her beauty is quite apparent, and she exudes an air of purity. Moreover, I can sense her potential for childbirth. She's truly remarkable. Having her serve you is a sensible decision. In time, you may even consider marriage, should you both wish for it. It's a matter of reason."

Cha-Eun Xiao, slightly embarrassed, smiled and replied, "Marriage and such... Let's cross that bridge when we come to it. I'm not entirely certain if she'll agree to stay in our household."

An indignant Song Jue retorted, "Who gives her the right to make that decision? We've saved her life, which means she is now under our protection. She has no choice but to agree. The decision is made."

With a nod, Cha-Eun Xiao privately considered, *It appears that Uncle Song is more enthusiastic about this than I am. She may have a complicated past. If she wakes up and declines the offer to become my maid here, that's perfectly reasonable. In such a case, I will have to discreetly arrange for her departure, concealing it from Uncle Song.* He understood that coercive actions wouldn't lead to a harmonious resolution.

[How can I compel a lady to do something she doesn't wish to... That would be impolite,] Cha-Eun Xiao thought with a sense of pride.

"Oh, I recall your father was always against you having a maid..." Song Jue's expression shifted to one of contemplation as he paced a few steps. "However, that was quite some time ago. You've grown up now, and it's not healthy to keep yourself secluded with your toys all the time. It shouldn't be a significant issue. Let me have a word with him. Moreover, this girl is truly stunning. It would be a shame to let her go... She appears to be quite endearing, even I find myself quite fond of her."

Song Jue arrived at his decision.

Cha-Eun Xiao nodded in agreement. "I share your sentiments."

"Then it's settled. I'll make the decision," Song Jue declared with a wave of his hand, solidifying the conclusion.

Cha-Eun Xiao was inexplicably delighted by Song Jue's audacious choice. Consequently, the enigmatic lady who had descended from the sky had spent two days resting in Cha-Eun Xiao's bed, still immersed in a coma.

During this period, Cha-Eun Xiao couldn't devise any superior methods for tending to her myriad injuries, both internal and external. His daily routine consisted of cleansing her Jing and Mai, tending to her bodily needs, and ensuring she was well-hydrated with water and soup.

Despite her unconscious state, the human body continued to function naturally, necessitating Cha-Eun Xiao's assistance with a few awkward tasks during these two days...
