Chapter 8 - Chapter - 7

Pov - Reve

Grandma prepared a delightful meal for us, and the entire house was filled with the enticing aroma of freshly cooked food. I assisted her by washing and chopping a peculiar potato-shaped vegetable, while Seraphina helped set the table. Finnian observed my every move with curiosity, as if enchanted by the dishes I was preparing. Surprisingly, I also joined in making delicious baked bread, although I couldn't recall any knowledge of doing so in my mysterious past. It felt as though I had simply woken up one day and found myself here, with all memories erased.

"Food is ready," Grandma's voice interrupted my thoughts, and we all gathered around the table. After a prayer, we began enjoying the exquisite meal. Grandma inquired, "How long have you been here?"

"Since last night," I replied, taking a deep breath. "I can't remember anything. I feel a deep connection to this place, a longing in my bones, yet I can't pinpoint its origin. It's as if I woke up here one day, and everything from my past has vanished. I feel a sense of guilt for forgetting someone important, and there's a constant ache in my heart. I want to solve this puzzle, but I don't know where to begin. I don't remember my parents, my identity, or how I arrived here. Sometimes, I sense fragments of my mother and grandma's wisdom, but they elude my memory. I'm unsure of my purpose here, and I wonder if I'll ever recall anything at all." As I spoke, tears welled up, and I trembled.

Grandma comforted me with a hug, saying, "Everything will make sense. Our destinies are something we can't escape. Perhaps you don't remember because you're not ready yet. One day, it will all come together."

Her words brought comfort and strength, and I felt grateful for having met her. Trying to piece together my past, I asked, "How do you know me and my name? I'm sorry for not remembering."

"I met you when you were around three years old and have known you since then," she replied hesitantly. When I pleaded for more information, she smiled with tears in her eyes, saying, "I can only tell you this much, dear. The rest is for you to discover."

Suddenly, a man's voice interrupted, ordering a cake for his wife's birthday. Orion responded, and Seraphina took the opportunity to show me their small bakery, exclaiming, "Oh my god, I forgot to show you our little bakery!" She held my hand and led me outside.
