Jody felt a chill run down his spine at the shaman's words. That sounded nothing like what he saw! In fact, Jody still needed time to process the things he had seen and what that mysterious entity had said.
Anyway, he had always known that there was something different about him that set him apart from the others in his tribe. But to hear that he had a darkness inside him, a darkness that threatened to consume him...it was almost too much to bear.
Almost.
Isis stepped forward, her eyes locked on her son's. "We'll deal with that darkness, Josiah. Together, we'll find a way to control this power. We'll ensure you use it for good, not evil."
Jody nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over him. He had always trusted his mother implicitly, and he knew she would do everything she could to help him. Together, they would face whatever challenges came their way.
The shaman hesitated for a moment and then spoke to Isis via telepathy. "I saw a future, Ice. A future where your son plays a pivotal role in the fate of our world."
"What kind of role?" Isis demanded, leaning forward in her seat.
"A role that could either save our world or destroy it," the shaman replied gravely. "Your son's power is immense and comes with great responsibility. He will have to make choices that will determine the fate of everything and everyone he cares about."
"What kind of choices?" Isis asked, her voice low.
"The kind of choices that no one should ever have to make," the shaman replied. "The kind of choices that will haunt him for the rest of his days."
Isis felt a sense of foreboding settling over her as she listened to the shaman's words.
"Thank you, Master Fugara," Isis said, getting up from her seat. "We will proceed with caution from here on out."
The shaman nodded in agreement. "Be careful, Lady Isis. The future is not set in stone."
As they left the shaman's hut, Jody couldn't help but feel a sense of dread settle over him. After boarding the Wind Spirit Wolf once again, the mother and son pair shot off into the distance again, traveling 500 yards before the estate scenery returned to normal. Jody glanced back and noticed the temple was entirely gone.
He was stunned, speechless at such a high level of sorcery. No wonder he had never noticed this temple. If not for his mother's actions today, Jody may have gone his entire life without knowing his mother had a blue-eyed master hidden in not-so-plain sight.
Fugara Bomon watched quietly with his divine senses as his student left with her little transcendent scion.
"This boy...will he be the savior this reality needs? Or the judgment it deserves?" Master Fugara mused under his breath. "Either way, the infinity soul is nearly complete. An old shaman like me never lived to see this day. After falling into transcendence, will I be lucky enough to experience the dawn of a new era?"

When the Synergy reached the perimeter of the Anubis statues in front of the lord's manor, it actually stopped and dipped into a bow before proceeding forward.
Jody sat flabbergasted.
"Mother," Jody lifted his head to look up at the gorgeous woman with mesmerizing eyes seated behind him. She looked down and smiled at him gently, making him feel warm all over.
"Mn," Lady Isis lightly replied, slightly lost in her own thoughts.
"Why do the Spirit Wolves bow before the statue?" asked Jody.
"Hmm?" his mother was caught off guard for a moment before collecting herself and responding, "This is to honor your father, whom they love and respect deeply. Your father is a pharaonic medjay of the True Pharaoh of Death, directly responsible for upholding the current messenger's law. The messenger of these lands is called Anubis, or the death god. It is said that they are chosen descendants of the true Anubis who guards the duat and the path to the underworld, by order of the Legion of Pharaoh."
Isis didn't realize it, but she had already stopped answering her son in a simplistic manner. She would detail most things he asked about.
Jody was surprised to once again hear about not only the legion of pharaohs, a term commoners and house staff didn't dare to utter but also the so-called True Pharaoh of Death. After all, the latter had just tuned into the television station of Jody's life or whatever the hell the pharaoh wanted with him.
"The wolves, you mean. The wolves love Dad?" asked Jody.
"Mn, that's right. Your father has sworn allegiance to Anubis, and the statues all have a trace of his noble force inside. The House Lord Trillwolf, your father, has a very high level of natural talent. He achieved Gold Mage rank at age twenty-five and became a legendary figure in the entire dynasty. This was already seven or eight years ago.
"He is the most talented young Sage in the past 100 years of the Anubis Dynasty's history. Spirit Wolves treat your father as a deity. Demon Jackals also show your father their maximum respect. Josiah, the bloodline of us, your parents, is exceptional. As is yours, it seems. You are the second child of the lord whom the Spirit Wolves admire. Kamila was the first."
"Milly? The Spirit Wolves also adore her?" Jody was shocked.
Ten minutes later, little Jody was silent as he stared ahead. His gaze was steady and determined. Lady Isis sighed once more and used her abilities to quickly twist her son's hair, making him look fresh and refined. As they approached the lord's manor, Jody couldn't help but feel a sense of awe. The manor was massive, with towers and spires reaching up to the sky. The walls were made of stone and looked impossible to breach.
Jody's eyes widened in wonder. The courtyard was filled with people of all kinds today. There were commoners, merchants, nobles, and even some strange-looking beings that Jody couldn't identify. It was a true melting pot of cultures and races.
The sound of laughter and chatter filled the air, and the scent of delicious food wafted from the kitchens. Jody's stomach rumbled, and he realized that he was starving. Refined fruit mist was not an adequate breakfast, after all. Synergy swiftly arrived in front of the lord's manor and let the pair of mother and son down from its back.
Actually, Jody really did feel a little suspicious about the fruit thing from before. However, he remained confident that, regardless of whatever his mother had planned, she definitely wouldn't have let him come to harm.
Their connection was no front, after all. Plus, Jody was now aware of another fact: his mother was obscenely strong and not just a little. At a minimum, she was far stronger than the young nobles Edward and Kold Rondo. Those experts never even noticed their presence! It was as if his mother and himself didn't even exist.
Now that he considered it, people barely discovered Synergy's presence along the way, including the two nobles of the House.
Besides, Jody knew enough about fake love to recognize it with ease. His mother's love for him was the most genuine thing he had ever felt in two lifetimes.
Still, he would be lying if he said he didn't wonder about all that fruity business.
As they walked through the lord's manor, Jody noticed his mother had returned to her usual celestial bearing. The face she put on in her public capacity was, of course, different from when they were alone. Every clan member or servant they passed hurried to greet the pair respectfully.
As such, Jody did the same. He would learn from his mother and always maintain his regal demeanor and dignity in public view.
"Long live the day, First Lady Isis. Today, you look more lovely than ever."
"My Lady Isis, thank you for healing my son!"
"Third young master, are you well?"
"This lowly one greets the milady and third young master."
Lady Isis nodded indifferently at all the people who came in greeting as her long, smooth, velvety legs walked forward at a moderately slow pace so that her son's small legs could keep up with her. She would, honestly, rather just carry the child. Even if he had grown larger, she was still 196 cm tall, while her boy barely reached 110 cm. Unfortunately, she knew from experience that the stubborn little boy at her heels would be utterly unsatisfied with such an outcome, height or no height.
Jody walked with regal flair, his back upright and his gaze straight ahead. He looked like a young noble. Isis felt impressed with her son's bearing, as she noticed that Jody didn't bat an eye at any of the flattery they had received, nor did he comment on it at all. It was as if the people from before were all just empty air! Who did this kid think he was? He actually mimicked her so wellβ¦
