The wild laughter of the father and son caused the four women around the table to avert their gaze towards them. Kamila's green eyes glowed like emeralds as she hung onto their every word without blinking. Her father had never talked to her like this, or even so much in one sitting. Rather than feeling jealous, she was filled with excitement due to Jody's fortune.
She would impatiently wait for the answer whenever her brother asked a question, too embarrassed to ask such matters for herself.
"Very well, pup," Lord Osiris noticed his son's eyes light up at the mention of strength and noted it, "Pay close attention. Across these lands are those known as Sages and those known as Saints.
"They pursue either the divine, origin, or essence paths. As for the Universal Truth, this is an aspiration held by the Pharaoh only. This difficult path requires an abundance of fortune and resources. That is why just one Pharaoh exists within each Outer Ward of Pangaea - the messengers are only called Pharaohs after all…"
"My lord!" Lady Isis, quiet so far, finally interjected, her face furious, "Should you be teaching such disrespectful words so casually? He doesn't have the same realm and status as you, now does he?
Lord Osiris merely waved his wife off, "He is my son, Lady Isis, and he will learn the truth about this world, whether you like it or not. And if he has the potential to become a Sage or even a Pharaoh, I will not let his ignorance hinder him. Since he has asked, he will know."
He turned back to Jody, his voice softening. "But don't get ahead of yourself, Josiah. Becoming a Sage or a Pharaoh is no easy feat. It requires years of training and dedication, and not everyone can do so. But we will start with the basics and see where your potential lies."
Isis scowled in his direction but didn't speak. She knew the Lord was right, but she still didn't want her little one-year-old baby exposed to so much of the world, no matter how talented he may be.
"Anyway, pup. Sages are powerful individuals who grow strong by using their force genesis to interface with unique artifacts, allowing them to awaken their powerful combat souls."
"Combat, wah? Wait, pops, what's a force genesis?" asked little Jody.
His mother admittedly was impressed that Jody could comprehend the things his father explained so well. At first, she believed he was asking casually because he missed his father and wanted to chat. To her shock, the boy was genuinely conversing with her man. Moreover, Osiris was taking great joy in his son's curiosity. It showed great promise.
Lady Isis had never told Josiah any of this because she figured he was too young to understand. It now seemed Isis had underestimated this flesh of her flesh, and she felt disgusted with herself. How could the son of herself not be amazing? How could he not be a genius?
She would push him harder in the future.
No one knew how Jody would feel if he knew he had just multiplied his homework. Of course, no one knew how Isis would think if she knew her son had retained the memories of another life.
Lord Osiris grinned, pleased with his son's interest. "Harnessing one's force genesis grants the ability to create and control your refined life force, or mana, and use it to create powerful spells and abilities. It is the foundation of all magical power."
He paused for emphasis, his eyes shining with an inner fire. "But do not be mistaken, my son. Sages are not just powerful because of their force genesis. They are also skilled warriors, capable of wielding powerful weapons and refining their combat techniques to perfection."
Jody's eyes widened even more. He had always admired his father's rumored strength and prowess in battle, and now he was learning that there was a whole new world of power and ability beyond what he had ever imagined.
"I want to be a Sage, Pops," Jody declared, his voice filled with determination.
"Good choice, son." Osiris nodded approvingly.
Then, he placed his finger on his son's lower abdomen.
"Watch the Origin Energy enter your body," he said calmly and confidently.
Terrifying as it were, his son was born with bizarre energy hidden in his flesh. His son's foundation would surpass all other beings the Lord had met in his life. Osiris only had to be a little more careful.
Jody could feel the hot energy weirdly moving deep inside him like a swimming serpent of lava. He grimaced until it reached some space within him. He could almost picture it happening in his mind. He felt something strangely familiar react and tingle deep within. Jody was confused, as he didn't believe he should already have such a scary feeling of power within himself.
"Don't let your mind wander off wondering how we are doing this," Osiris cautioned, hinting at the boy's mysterious destiny.
He was pleased to see the child-like awe on his son's face. Although strange for a one-year-old, he was still very immature.
The Origin Force swam into this tiny space within Jody's abdomen that his dad called an Origin Pool. Deep inside this pool was a small sphere of light, and in the center of the light, there was a gem made of concentrated pure life force. This tiny jewel was his Force Genesis!
A Force Genesis is like a star at the center of one's body; all origin energy moves toward it. They will be absorbed like a sponge that sucks up water when they reach it. The energy produced by law comprehension resonating in his soul would then enter his force genesis and become integrated into his essence. Then, the new power would be transferred from his physical body and used for ability, defense, or other functions like flight, ghost walking, or chameleonism…
His father explained many amazing things in a few short breaths. This was similar to what Jody had read in the past life about Qi Cultivation! Could this be related to Force Formula?
