Ruthlessness flashed in Sylvester's flaming eyes on the battle stage once he felt that previous pressure descend. He didn't plan on killing this girl, as finding such a talented youth was difficult. He respected her prowess, though she wasn't his match. She was the most talented negus Sylvester had ever encountered, plus he was in an exceedingly good mood.
However, how dare her rampant master make a move on him? Now, he would surely bisect this pretty bug. Sylvester charged forward, his sword glowing with black and green flames as he swung it toward Luerong.
She quickly dodged, her glaive flashing as she parried Sylvester's attack.
The two moved with incredible speed, their weapons clashing in a shower of sparks. There was no doubt that Luerong was skilled, but Sylvester's flames gave him a distinct advantage. The emerald flames quickly incinerated Luerong's ice attacks, leaving her few options.
Sylvester continued to press forward, his sword striking with deadly precision. Lulu was forced to retreat, her defensive magic barely holding up against Sylvester's onslaught.
Just when it seemed like Sylvester had the upper hand, Luerong suddenly disappeared, leaving a trail of ice behind her. Sylvester looked around, confused, but then he felt a sharp pain in his side.
Luerong appeared behind him, her glaive seemingly piercing through his armor. But Luerong frowned immediately after her strike landed.
The feeling was wrong!
Suddenly, the Sylvester in front of her burst into flames that floated away as ash.
At the same time, the real Sylvester appeared a few feet to her right. She hurriedly used her mental energy to command her previous attacks to change targets.
With a primal roar, all the flames on stage suddenly hurtled toward Sylvester's sword instantly. In a flurry of sparks and lightning, Luerong's entire array of attacks was dissipated before they reached ten feet of her opponent.
Sylvester's grip tightened on the handle as he summoned a surge of power that seemed to rip apart the void. His body became like a deadly blade, platinum armor materializing on him. There was no longer a difference between his presence and his weapon. The sword beam extended by a meter, and a wave of concentrated energy and sword intent, so powerful it could cut through steel and stone, came crashing down towards Luerong's seven glacial spears and shattered them into pieces.
"Sword Fusion: Sky Fall Demon!" Sylvester roared.
The dazzling wave shot through Luerong's body and continued straight through the arena's west side with explosive force, tearing through the protective barrier like it was nothing more than glass. All the tournament officials watching trembled in terror as they watched this scene unfold.
"Oh fuck..." Seeing this sight, the fifth prince, smiling in pride only moments ago, now gawked in sheer panic. "Great Anubis! Doesn't this brat know what it means to hold back?! You don't adore life!"
The fifth prince instantly vanished, appearing next to his ninth brother the next instant.
Sylvester turned after replacing his sword at his back, and he casually walked down the stage. It was as if the emerald flames, death, and destruction all around him had nothing to do with him.
All the spectators were speechless.
At the same time, a sword light erupted from the void. But right then, a robust truist appeared next to Luerong and retrieved a silvery pearl. Before anyone could understand, the young girl's soul was absorbed into the pearl. All the crowd saw was a white light leaving the immobilized Luerong's body, and a green light shot off in the opposite direction. Another sword beam narrowly missed the truist as the man swiftly escaped.
The arena was dumbfounded, as they weren't sure what was happening.
Sylvester stopped walking, his head turning to face the arena with wariness. He had been aiming for Luerong's head, but another power had suddenly interfered with his attack. Thus, he immediately turned to leave.
When Luerong's soul was absorbed into that silvery pearl just now, he had been secretly cursed. His nirvanic blood immediately canceled it, but only after half a second. His attack had gone astray, his power spilling out of his finesse. But as fast as that guy moved, Sylvester knew he wasn't his match. It was probably best they leave quickly.
"That damn baldy! I'll kill him!" Prince Oliver snorted, catching up to the ninth prince.
It seemed his fight didn't go as he would like.
When Sylvester's foot touched the stairs, not only did he and the fifth prince vanish into the void, but a searing line suddenly appeared on Luerong's forehead.
It traveled down to her nether region before she split in two halves, revealing a split second of shock on her face as she faded away into nothing more than ash. It was like an invisible razor had cleanly sliced through the air, leaving behind only a smooth layer of air that cut chunks out of the ground that were instantly replaced with black holes.
These holes melted through flesh and bone until they reached their fleshy neighbors, but these newly formed lakes of blood soon hardened into rivers of lava and erupted up through the arena floor.
A four-meter-thick and mile-long gash soon spread out from where Luerong once stood, revealing a scorched arena with thousands of dead people scattered into ashes. They didn't even have time to process their own deaths before they were dusted.

Three hours later, Sylvester was seated calmly, fiddling with the primordial soul ring on his finger while his tenth brother trained in sword arts. They had decided to forego tomorrow's special reward ceremony and received their prizes early. The officials were happy to see them leaving as soon as possible. Prince Oliver continuously paced the hall as they waited for someone from Jaiya to arrive and escort them back home.
"This is exactly what I said would happen if I used all my ability," Sylvester said nonchalantly.
"Are you serious? You've really fucked us this time, Sly," the tenth prince scowled as he trained to ease his mind. ∩(˵☯‿☯˵)つ¤=[]:::::>
"The weak will die. No one can be blamed but themselves," Sylvester said indifferently as he investigated his rewards with his divine sense. "How was I supposed to know that my spatial laws would pierce through the arena's barrier? I overestimated them. If I must be faulted for my confidence in the establishment, then so be it. We will kill them as well. You would do well to understand this subtle truth, Xavier. It may help you survive until the day I kill you."
╰(⇀︿⇀)つ-]═───
Xavier really felt like flipping a table.
"Mom is going to be so pissed…" Xavier Tricko completely ignored his brother's insidious comments, worrying that his mother would have a conniption once she heard about this. "Are you so desperate to be one of the demons they compare us to?"
"What should I be then, X? Human? Elf? I know, maybe a negus, like what you pretend to be? I am not a hero, nor have I ever been! I am a mighty Sky Wolf, a beast of chaotic origin that this heaven and earth cannot contain, as my father was before me. I am a mighty beast of twilight, one of the extinct origin beasts of legend," Sylvester proclaimed with no emotion.
He stood straight like a sword, his white robes fluttering without wind.
"I am the mighty Sky Fall Legend, and this is merely the beginning of my tale. I honor you by taking your swordsmanship to new levels of majesty. You cannot imagine my pride. You cannot fathom my responsibility."
"Hehe, one thing you are for sure is a Sky Fall jerk," snickered Xavier before receiving a hard blow to the back of the head, "OW! HEY! That HURT, Sly."
"Enough!" the fifth prince screamed at these two bickering idiots. "Ninth brother, you have created a huge mess this time. The entire city would be after us without your actions exposing the witch's plot to rob Gold Origin Island. It would be best if you lay low. Go to Wood Origin Island for a few hours. We must wait for the envoy to arrive before we can leave New Gaea."
"Leave? Are we so cowardly?" Sylvester asked in confusion as he quickly sent his soul force and lifeblood essence into the primordial soul ring.
Hearing that the witch had planned on robbing the same place as himself put him on high alert instantly. With the primordial soul ring, he wouldn't have to concern himself with getting robbed. The ring emitted a piercing black light before shooting into his chest. Sylvester turned his hand over, and the ring appeared again. He turned his hand over once more, and the ring disappeared.
"Excellent."
"Are you daft?" Prince Oliver was exasperated.
This brat just murdered the runner-up along with thousands of innocent spectators and proceeded through the award ceremony as if they weren't drowning in killing intent the entire time. He was so unhinged.
"This is a command from the lord Sephiroth, ninth prince. There will be no negotiations."
