"Yeah, I wish I could stand up to my parents but I don't want the aftermath of that, huh.."
"Can't be too bad. I mean you're not living with them so they can't do much."
"I wish that was the case but let's talk about something else."
"Okay."
"If you don't mind me asking, what happened in the break up?"
"Uhh, he... did.. Like that we were breaking up. Like.. really didn't like it. He went crazy an-"
A knock came from the front door and Alan looked over at the door then put his pointer finger up, getting up and to the front door, opening it. I looked over the back of the couch at Leon walking into Alan's house.
"Eli, come say hi to Leon. He went to high school with us."
I walked over to them and Leon's eyes met mine.
"Wow, I remember you! You were the one that would hide behind walls and watch us."
"You-you saw that?!"
"Yeah, I know because one time we made eye contact but then after that I just keeped catching you watching us, well one of us."
Alan looked at me confused and I looked away, hearing the door close and walking to the couch. I looked over at Alan and Leon going to the couch and I watched them. We all sat down and they chatted about their lives and such. I sat there quietly, not wanting to embarrass myself. I watched them talk and admired Alan's looks and his deep voice. He was the type of guy to make you fall for him all over again just by looking at him and listening to his nice voice. I snapped back to reality when Leon said Heather's name.
"You should invite Heather over. I want to meet that girl."
"I don't know she's been pretty bitchy lately, like overly. She's not on her period, at least from what I know. I mean, I didn't ask her because I think that would be rude..."
"I have to deal with asshole people every day, It'll be fine."
Alan sighed and pulled out his phone.
"Alright, give me a second."
He walked away into a different room and I felt eyes on me. I looked at Leon and he put his knee to his chest, resting his elbow on his knee then his chin.
"So Eli, why'd you follow us around in school?"
"Well, I umm... I just really wanted to hang out with you guys but I was really shy and quite the loser."
"Ahh, makes sense."
I nodded my head, trying to make my lie seem not so obvious.
"So, umm famous now huh?"
"Yeah, Just a tiny bit."
"Is it fun?"
"Ehh, it's definitely interesting. You meet tons of different people. Some better than the other, some nice, you know."
"Have you ever had a crazy fan?"
"Oh yeah. One time I had a girl stalk me and break into my house. I had to get the police involved and everything then I had to get ready for a show... It was tiring, man."
"Oh my god. I hate to hear that."
He sighed and looked at me then smiled.
"Hey, you're not that bad. I was kinda concerned because the last time I saw you, you were watching Alan, Jay, and me behind a wall."
"I- hah- I understand completely."
He raised his eyebrow at me and smirked.
"Eli, Ima let you know something. I know you were watching Alan in high school. It was pretty obvious."
My face heated up and I looked over at Alan coming back, sighing.
"What are you guys talking about?"
"Ooh, you know.. nothing really. Just school stuff."
I looked to the side and heard Alan sit down.
"Heather can't come, she's at her guy "friends" house "hanging out" with him."
"Oh damn, so she's one of those girls?"
"Yeah..."
"Then why do you stay with her?"
"It's.. complicated.."
"Mmh, I get it. I get it."
I looked at them, Alan's expression was a bit sad, him trying to not look that way. Leon got a notification and looked at his phone, getting up.
"Well, kinda good that she can't come. I have to go. My manager needs to talk with me. Soo, see you guys later."
"Alright, see you man."
"Bye."
He left and Alan looked at me.
"Soo, you followed us in high school, huh?"
"Um, yeah... I umm I... mhm..."
I looked at the ground and crossed my legs, putting my hand in between my legs and squeezed my hands together.
"Is there a reason why you did?"
"Umm well, because that person that Joy was talking about. That liked and still likes you asked me to for them."
"Ooh, so you know about this oh so mysterious person?"
I nodded my head and looked up at him, watching him smile then cover his mouth with his hand.
"What's the real reason?"
"Real reason?"
"Knowing when people are lying is kinda my thing."
"Uhhh, I can't tell you.. I'm sorry."
"Alright, then do you want to get pizza for lunch?"
"Uh, sure, Pizza sounds good."
"Okay. I'll order it. You can change the channel. I'll be right back."
He handed me the remote and got up, going into a different room. I grabbed the remote and changed it to a show about crimes and people being caught. I sat there watching the show until the door rang and Alan came down from upstairs, answering the door. I muted the tv and looked over at Alan, closing the door with a pizza on his arm. He grabbed the pizza with both of his hands, once the door was closed and looked at me smiling.
"Hah, I was going to say that the pizza's here but I think you already know."
He walked back to the couch and sat down, putting the pizza on the coffee table.
"Oh! Your phone was ringing so I grabbed it for you."
I sat down properly and grabbed my phone from his hand, looking at the missed call.
"Oh shit.."
I got up and recalled Joy, going into the guest room.
"ELI! My boy, why don't you answer my calls?"
"I didn't have my phone on me, I'm sorry."
"It's fine. Soo uhh, Mike told me what happened. Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine."
"Where are you?"
"I'm staying with Alan."
"Ohh?~"
"Joy, don't be weird.."
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. How is it going over there? Have you broke yet?"
"What do you mean?"
"And told him?"
"No! No.. Absolutely not."
"Why not?~"
"Because..."
I looked out the door at Alan watching tv then closed the guest room door.
"He's straight.. I don't want to make him uncomfy."
"In my opinion you should tell him at some point."
"That would just be stupid of me if I confessed knowing he's straight. That's just a cry for me to get rejected.."
"How do you know he's straight?"
"Well uhh, I've only seen him date girls."
"So? Maybe he's bi."
"Bi or not he has a girlfriend."
"Okay, okay.. I'll stop bugging you about it.. For now."
"Joy..."
"Hey, man.. You're gonna have to at some point. It might be the only way to break your crush on him."
"Have my heart crushed to get rid of my crush on him?"
"If you put it like that... you're gonna make me feel like I'm trying to get you hurt.."
"Kinda are."
"I'm sorry!!"
"I'll just.. Find someone else and get over him."
"Ohh, how about Mason. He's gay."
"Really? I didn't know that."
"Yeah, hah. I found out because I may or may not have thought him and Kit were dating in high school."
"Awkward."
"Tell me about it.. They both still bug me about it when Mason comes over to hangout. Anyways, not the point. Let's make a deal."
"What kind of deal?"
"You try to lose your feeling for Alan your way but if it doesn't work you tell him you like him."
"Joy.."
"Come on. Either that or I keep bugging you~"'
"Fine.. but I'm not even working for a while.. How am I supposed to talk with him?"
"Kit and Mason are literally best friends. I'll figure something out. Anywayyysss, got to go. Love you, my boy!"
"Love you too, Joy."
I hung up and sighed then opened the door, went back to the couch and sat down. I turned off my phone and felt a bad feeling in my gut, making me feel almost sick. I put my phone down and looked up at the unmuted tv.
"Eeliii, you should eat."
I looked at Alan then at the opened pizza box. I grabbed a piece and put my hand under it, to not make a mess. We ate together in silence watching the tv. I leaned against the side of the couch and slowly started falling asleep.

* *3* *
"Mmm..."
I opened my eyes and looked around then sat up, getting blinded by the sun. I searched for my glasses, soon finding them and putting them on. I looked around again and realised this wasn't the guest room. I looked to the side of me and laid my eyes down on the sleeping Alan. His hair was somewhat covering his eyes and he was shirtless, the blankets at his waist and a bit down more. I looked down at his bare chest and slowly moved my eyes down to the rime of his boxers that was showing. I looked lower than back at his face and put my hand on his cheek, whipping his hair out of his closed eyes. My eyes looked down at his lips and I slid my thumb onto his bottom lip, rubbing it gently.
"I wonder if you'd wake up if I kissed you. No, that wouldn't be right... hmm, no matter how much I want you I'll never have you. I'll never be able to kiss your soft lips."
I laid back down and put my head on his chest, closing my eyes as I listened to his heart beat. I laid my arm on his chest and smiled. I heard him start to wake up and I sat up, watching him sit up and rub his eyes. He yawned and stretched his arms in the air. My eyes looked down at the blankets falling off the part it was on him and my face got really hot, causing me to look to the side.
"Morning."
I looked at him and smiled, pulling up my shirt to hide my cheeks.
"M-Morning."
"Did you sleep well?"
He looked at me putting his arms down and rested against the bed, leaning back a bit. I nodded my head and let go of my shirt.
"Mhm."
"Better than before?"
I looked down at the bed and wiped a piece of my hair behind my ear.
"Yes."
"Ahh, well then you should sleep in here more. It'll be like when you were a kid and would have to share a bed with your friend at a sleepover."
"No, it's okay. I don't want to make you feel-"
"Eli, you don't need to worry. If I didn't like the idea I wouldn't let it happen. I don't mind the company. In fact I like the company, especially yours."
"Okay."
One of our phone's started to ring and Alan turned his head then handed me my phone, smiling. I grabbed it and answered it.
"Okay! Sooo, you, Mason, Kit, if Alan wants to join him, and I are all going out to the skating rink, arcade, and then finally, the movies! Tadah!! What do you think?"
"Today?"
"Yep, in like an hour we're going to head out to the skating rink."
Alan got up and went to his dresser to get dressed. I looked at his chest when he turned to put his shirt on then my eyes went down abit then to the side.
"You down?"
"Uhh, y-yeah. I'll see if Alan.. uhh want to come with."
"Sweet!! See you soon!"
"Yeah."
She hung up and I looked at Alan staring at me.
"Come where?"
"Joy, kit, and kit's best friend are going to the skating rink, arcade, and the movies and want us to come."
"That sounds fun! I'll totally go!"
"Cool! Uhh, they're leaving in an hour."
"Alright."
"Uhh d-do you think I can use your shower?"
"Haha, of course. I'm not going to make you stay here and not let you shower. Think of my house as yours too. You can eat what you want, do what you want, use what you want. I really don't mind."
"O-okay."
I got up and he pointed at an opened door.
"My bathroom is right there I'll go get you clothes and a towel."
I nodded and went into the bathroom, closing the door and sighing. I stared at the ground then had a mini fanboy moment, hopping around, softly squeaking, and smiling too much. I got myself together and started the shower then got undressed. I got in once it was warm enough and sighed at the nice feeling of the warm water touching my skin. I washed myself then heard the door open. I looked out just showing my chest and saw a blurry figure, putting stuff down on the sink counter.
"Sorry. Sorry, just putting your towel and clothes in here."
"I-it's fine. Hehe..."
He left and closed the door. I leaned against the wall and put my hand to my chest, feeling my heart beat. I dropped my arm down to my side and continued to clean myself, soon turning the shower off and getting out. I grabbed my glasses and put them on then dried myself and got dressed. I put the towel on my head and dried my hair quickly then left the bathroom, making eye contact with Alan laying on the bed, fully dressed. He sat up and crossed his legs.
"Are you ready to head out? My house is pretty far from everything so we should leave sooner."
I nodded and he got up. I followed him and we went out to his car, him locking up his house. We got in the car and buckled up, driving out of his driveway. I looked out the window and zoned out thinking about random things. The car ride was silent other than the radio playing music softly in the background. I looked at Alan once the car came to a stop and I heard him unbuckle his seatbelt. I unbuckled mine and got out with him, walking beside him. He opened the front door and let me in first then got in after me. We headed to the front desk and got our skates then went to the ice. We sat down on a bench and put the skates on... yet Alan got his on before me due to me not knowing how to put them on.
"Here. Let me help."
He bent down in front of me and put the skates on me. I looked down at him and he looked up at me and stood up, putting his hand out.
"Yay, you both are here!!"
I looked at Joy skate up to the wall and rest her elbows on the wall.
"Took you long enough."
She smiled and I grabbed Alan's hand standing up then let go.
"How are you doing, Alan?"
Joy looked at Alan and he sighed.
"Great, I haven't been skating in years. I'm excited!"
Alan got onto the ice and I looked down at it unsure then grabbed the wall tightly and got on. My legs wobbled around then I felt hands on my waist. I looked at Alan.
"Slowly, you're fine."
I slowly adjusted and let go of the wall. Joy grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the other two.
"Let's go over here!"
"Joy!! I can't-"
She let go of my hand and I fell forward, closing my eyes then opened them and looked at Mason.
"Clumsy as always I see."
I grabbed onto him and sighed.
"Thanks, Mason."
"No problem. Who's that?"
I looked at Alan then at Mason who slowly let me go.
"That's, Alan!"
"I'm his friend from high school."
"Oh, I'm Mason. I've known him since high school too, though I work with him now so he doesn't get a break."
I looked at Mason who was looking down at me with a grin.
"You say that like it's horrible working with you."
"I'm not?"
"No, you're fun!"
He smiled then skated backwards.
"If you say so, bubble gum."
He turned to Kit and Joy and I looked at Alan. He was looking at Mason, almost annoyed looking, then looked at me and smiled.
"Are you okay?"
"Mhm!"
I smiled and we skated around, hung out then left and went to the arcade. Kit got a shit ton of tickets for all of us and we were off into the arcade. Alan hung around me as I looked around at the games.
"Eli!"
I looked over at Mason next to a game and walked over.
"I dare you to beat this game."
"I'm not Mike, Mason."
He smiled and walked close to me.
"I never said you were but with all that time you two spend together I'm sure you've gained some skills."
"Maybe."
I went to the game and put in a token then started playing the game until I died. Mason patted my shoulder and I looked at him.
"Nice run, bubble gun. Though I think I can do better than you~"
I shook my head and smiled at him then backed away from the game. He put in a token and started playing then I looked at Alan.
"You did good."
He smiled at me and my heart skipped a beat.
"Th-thank you!"
I looked back at Mason and watched him beat my score then die. He turned to me and smiled, grabbing both our tickets from the game. He handed them to me.
"Told you~"
"Whatever.. It's just a silly game and plus, you couldn't beat Mike so suck on that."
I stuck out my tongue.
"Don't stick out your tongue, the squirrels will get it."
"Mhm, I'm sure because I see so many squirrels around here."
I giggled then looked at Alan.
"Do you want to try it?"
He looked at me then shrugged, going up to it.
"I'm not really a game person so I'm sure you did better than me."
"I doubt that."
He chuckled and put a token in and started playing it then died almost at my score. He looked at me and shrugged.
"Not a game person."
"That's okay."
Mason grabbed my hand and pulled me to another game.
"Let's go to another game."
"Okay."
We played a couple games all together other than Alan, he just watched us. The last game we were at was a shooting game, I got one star, and Mason got five. There were a total of thirdy in the span of sixty seconds as they moved around. Mason put the gun down and looked at me.
"Not too bad."
"You're really good with a gun! I don't even think Mike can get that much!"
"I guess I'm just the best."
He walked away from it and Alan went up to it. He put in a token and picked up the gun. Mason looked back at him.
"Good luck, haha."
Alan looked back at him from the corner of his eye, then back at the game and shot every star. He put the gun down and turned to look at Mason.
"You just got lucky."
Alan put another token in and did it again then smiled, looking back at Mason.
"Damn, where did you learn how to use a gun like that?"
He looked at Joy and Kit beside me.
"My dad was a hunter."
"Hah, is that why your last name is hunter?"
Alan chuckled and grabbed the tickets then walked with us.
"That's the first time I've heard that."
"Really?"
"No. I've heard almost every single one that someone could think of."
"We should get food before the movies."
"I think they have food at the movies."
"Yeah but it sucks..."
Joy looked at Kit.
"Since when did you turn into a foodie?"
"When I realised I could have taste~"
Kit kissed Joy on the cheek and I giggled.
"Good answer, Kit."
She looked at me and put her finger to her mouth, hushing me. Joy then pushed her softly.
"How about we go to a restaurant?"
"Sure."
"Alright then just follow my car, mister ladies man."
Alan laughed a bit and Joy patted his shoulder.
"Okay. will do, ma'am."
We got outside and got into Alan's car then Alan followed Joy's car to a fancy restaurant, parked, then we got up and went in with the rest of them. We waited a minute or two to be seated then all ordered drinks, and looked at the menu. I looked around the restaurant and made eye contact with my ex. He smiled, almost hiding behind a wall. I sat up and my eyes widened, my heart started to speed up, my hand became shaky, and my body did too. I looked down at the menu trying to freak out too badly. I felt a soft touch on my arm and flinched then looked at Alan.
"Are you okay?"
I nodded and faked smiled.
"Are you sure?"
"I'm fine. I just saw something that freaked me out a bit."
He made a unsure face then smiled.
"Okay."
"What are you two talking about?"
I looked over at Joy then at Alan.
"Nothing really."
"Okay, well do you guys know what you want?"
I looked back and didn't see him then looked forward. We all ordered then ate and left after, going to the movies. Once we were at the movies we all decided on a movie or more Joy did and she picked a horror. We then got snacks and went to our seats. Mason was on my left and Alan was on my right. I looked over at Alan as he watched the before ads and then looked down at his hand but jumped at Mason spooking me. I looked at him quickly and he laughed to himself.
"That was funny."
"You're a.. A..."
I thought for a moment and he smirked.
"A.. A? A what?"
He leaned close to me.
"A horror, terror?"
"You play too much."
"Mhm?"
"Mhm! You can't scare me before a scary movie."
"Why not? Is it because you're a chicken?"
"Shut up."
I looked at Joy staring at us with a smile.
"Hey, Mason."
Mason looked at Joy.
"I forgot to get chocolate. Do you mind getting me some?"
"Sure."
He got up and Joy nugged her head at Mason walking away.
"You should go with him to make sure he doesn't forget."
"Okay?"
I got up and followed him, leaving the theatre.
"Mason, wait up."
He stopped and looked at me then smiled. I went beside him.
"I didn't know you were coming with me."
"Joy said for me to come to make sure you don't forget about the chocolate."
"Oh, haha. Alright."
We went to the cashier and he bought chocolate then started to go back to the theatre but he stopped and looked at me.
"Are you sure you didn't just come to spend time with me?"
"Uhh, yeah."
I turned to him and he got close to me.
"We should probably-mmh."
He leaned down and pressed our lips together. I froze and stood there then he leaned in more. I stepped back a bit and grabbed his shirt, still shocked. He pulled away, licked his lips and went back into the theatre. I looked over at the door closing and went in, in shock. I put my fingers to my lips then shook my head and went to my spot. I sat down and looked at Mason from the corner of my eyes then at the movie starting. I watched the movie and got spooked by the jump scares. I grabbed Alan arm and shoved my face into it then heard him chuckle. I looked up at him looking down at me and sat up quickly, letting his arm go and burnt up. I covered my face with my shirt and we all finished the movie then left the lobby. Mason pulled me aside while the others talked about the movie. I looked up at him.
"Mason, that was so random.."
"I know, I know but... it just happened. I'm sorry."
"It's fine, better you than someone else. Hah, right.."
"Yeah but uhh I need to tell you that I uhh.. really like you. I have for a while now. I just never had the balls to tell you."
"Mason, I.. I have a lot going on right now.. Do you think you can wait a little bit for my answer?"
"Yeah. Take your time. Maybe we could go out to eat sometime?"
"Sure!"
"Cool, cool. So I guess I'll text you later?"
"Okay."
"See yah."
He walked away and waved bye. I waved bye at him, Joy, and Kit all leaving then went up to Alan. I felt eyes on me and looked behind me quickly, looking around.
"Are you okay? Did the movie spook you too much?"
I looked at him.
"I think maybe.."
"Well, let's go back home. It's pretty late."
I nodded and we started to leave. I looked back then forward, going to Alan's car then got into it.
"Mason is an interesting guy."
I nodded and sighed.
"Tell me about it... he kissed me."
"Oh... congratulations?"
"We're not together.. I don't know if I even like him or ever will.. Though my heart has had me stuck on one person for too long so maybe I should try being with him."
"Why don't you just ask out your crush?"
"Because.. I'm pretty sure he's straight.."
"What makes you say that?"
"He's only dated girls. Joy wants me to tell him anyways because she thinks an actual rejection will.. Make me lose feelings. But I.."
I hugged myself and felt my eyes water up.
"I don't want to be rejected by him.. he means too much *sniffle* to me.. If-if I get rejected by him then.. Then.."
I started crying and squeezed my arms.
"Eli! Hey.."
His car soon came to a stop and I looked at him. He hugged me tightly and rubbed my back. I let go of myself and hugged him, crying into his shoulder.
"I don't want to lose him.."
"Shhh, hush.. It's going to be okay.."
I cried on him for a bit then let go of him and he wiped my eyes.
"I'm sure everything will work out in the end."
He smiled at me then sat back in his seat and pulled out of the area off the road, going back onto the road.
"Let's go back."
I nodded and the rest of the ride was silent until we got back to his house. We both got out and went into his house. I looked at him when his phone started ringing. He pulled out his phone then rolled his eyes and sighed.
"It's Heather.. Give me a second."
He went upstairs and I went to the guest room. I closed the door then went up to the bed and face planted into the pillow, grabbed it, gripped it, then proceeded to yell into it.
"I'M SO STUPID!!! AHHHH!!!"
I laid on my side and sighed then pulled out my phone, dinging. I turned it on and looked at the new message.
Mason: Tomorrow how about I pick you up for lunch?
1o:o4pm
You : Sure
10:05pm
Mason: Cool, what's your address
10:05pm

Mason: alright, i'll be there around 11
10:07pm
You : okay, good night
10:07pm
Mason: Night, bubble gum
10:08pm
I sighed and put my phone on the nightstand.
"This deal is going to kill me.."
I looked over at the door that a knock came from then the door opened and Alan walked in. He sighed and looked a bit annoyed.
"Heather's going to be coming over tomorrow.."
"Okay. uhh I'm going to be picked up for lunch tomorrow. I shouldn't be gone for too long."
"Oh, is Mike picking you up?"
"No, Mason is. He asked me on a.. date?"
"Alright... I'm going to bed. Are you sleeping in here?"
"I uhh.."
