On the surface of Ashwanadi, chants of a divine syllable 'Om' can be heard, coming out from the mouth of a baby shrouded in a calm aura, looking at the sky with his pure round blue pupils while lying on a basket made of wax.
"Om~"...
That child is Mokshit , a name bestowed to the boy by my father, The mighty god of Sun a.k.a. Suryadev. It means someone born with 'someone who librerates' something he would have if not for my mother abandoning me in Ashwanadi and to fate.
Therefore, this name had already lost its meaning hours after my birth.
Hey! Don't feel sorry for this one! Recently, he have understood the core of Karna's past tragedies.
*Growls*
Karna's sleep is broken by growling in his stomach. He just relise that hours have past and the last meal by his so-called mother has long digested .So he didn't eaten anything from the moment other that meal he eaten after he was born.
"Hey, There are still a few days until I reach Hastinapur kingdom or even Champa. With this rate I might die out of hunger here before I can reach civilization."
Karna becomes anxious. New born baby's can only survive without food for only 24 hours to 48 hours. After that it is hard to say, Not to mention the newborn but even an adult man without food and water can't survive this long journey.
"How can original Karna as a baby be able to bear that pain?"
Karna thought about it, he as a demi-god has a consumption needs way beyond of a normal humans. If this goes on like this then he will die either by hunger or by a thirst or atleast go close to it. For newborn Karna to suffer that kind of pain is impossible even imagine for him. Surprisingly for him , he had bought 'Photosyntesis ' skill due which he is less hungry because he can subsequently convert sunlight into energy in day time to keep him replenish or else he would have been much more pain.
But even then what making him even more helpless is that he as a baby can't even ask for help from anyone as he can't speak properly yet.
While Srivastav was busy with reminiscing out his possible future and hunger, his chants were creating miracles on his path.
Everywhere his basket went through, the water would be cleaned from the contamination, the atmosphere would turn serene while both the hunters and the prey would stop their game of survival and return to their homes with deep devotion in their eyes.
The flowers would bloom on the riverside, ignoring the fact that its almost night.
These changes brought out the hidden beauty and purity of the World contaminated by the arrival of Dvapara Yuga. As the 'Kalyuga' (The Age of Darkness) came near, the influence of divine beings would gradually weaken causing the living to be filled with negative thoughts and desires. Eventually they would become the puppet of 'Kalyuga'.
Here, Srivastav's chants and passive activation of Purify skill were eliminating the impurities of Kalyuga. Signifying that only a pure, devoted, and clean heart can save the world from Annihilation either by Kalyuga, Lord Shiva or by Lord Narayan's incarnation 'Kalki'.
Simultaneously, what impact will these small 'incidents' have on the world remain unknown. Before that it should be considered whether the world will even notice these insignificant changes.
Even if it did, It will not have any effect on Srivastav, an existence free from the shackles of Niyati and blessed by her. This boon might be belittled by masses only to be slapped again and again due to their short-sightedness.
For the ignorant peoples, here's a brief explanation;
Niyati/Fate: It defines certain events for both living and non-living. From birth to death, High and low, Up and downs, Grief and happiness etc. are predestined by Niyati. It is a guiding force taking us to a certain incident like getting first rank in college, saving some in need or falling in love etc.
Divination/ Akashwani: It is the path chosen by us or others to reach our pre-destined Niyati. They will change according to our choices. Sometimes affecting the order by which we will complete our destiny.
Conclusion: We can indeed change our own Niyati through our actions but we can never escape from its shackles. If it's someone's fate to be stabbed by a knife, they will be stabbed even after trying to avoid it countless times.
However, this fate didn't define us to die from this stab. It's sure we will be stabbed but the consequence of this action can be minimized.
Hence, instead of avoiding it, we can take it head-on and direct it to a less vital organ or we can use some protection. It is the only way one we can change in a positive way.
On the other hand, if it's someone's fate to die, we can change the way he will be sent to heaven/hell or at most, we can delay it a little. As for overturning this fate? heh, Not even Trimurties can change Niyati without a price.
Objectively speaking, Srivastav's freedom from shackles of fate has granted him to be potentially immortal as his death isn't determined. Or, he could be killed by any passerby Deity only if he/she could ignore the rage of Suryadev and Karna's Armor & Earrings.
Leaving that matter aside, Karna had crossed his first hurdle by reaching the meeting point of Ashwanadi and Chambal river, unknowingly.
When the school of fishes and Makar arrived at this point, they hesitated a little. They instinctively refrained from entering the Chambal river. It might be due to the arrival of night, causing darkness to envelop the world with a little source of gentle radiance coming from the Moon hanging over their heads.
Nevertheless, this darkness coupled with the muddy water of Chambal river induced the primal fear of both the school of fishes and Makar-the crocodile to rise from its slumber.
They could feel something malicious and vengefulness seeping out from the blanket of water.
"Om~"...
"Om~"...
At that very moment, the sound of divine syllables cleanses themselves from the fear and other negative effects of water, filling the beings with wisdom.
Awakened from their momentary cowardice, The school of fishes continued their Voyage' under the leadership of Makar.
Different from their previous hesitance, they moved with extreme confidence and devotion. In their pupils, the dark world had been illuminated by the bright rays of wisdom. They felt enlightened sage, unaffected by the changes of the world around themselves.
Splash!
Splash!
No sooner than that they moved to enter the Charmanvati river, the water turned hectic as if afraid of something. Sadly, the enlightened ones didn't care about it and moved forward without an ounce of hesitation.
Gurgle!
Shi!
Shush!
Whirlpools formed on every part of the river to warn the visitor. Unfortunately, it didn't succeed in their objective. The fear it tried to strike in the enlightened one's were not even noticed by them.
Su...
Su....
After they entered the turbulent river, everything turned silent as if affected by the divine chants, successfully portraying scenes of some horror movies.
In this serene atmosphere, calm winds carried the divine syllable to every corner of Charmanvati/Chambal river, further increasing the range of purifying ability of 'Om/Aum'.
Six hours later,
Karna's voyage finally crossed Charmanvati river, entering the calm waters of Yamuna river which would take him to Mother Ganga, One of the holiest rivers.
As the voyage left the Chambal river, some indescribable things happened behind the backs of Makar and Others.
A lady wearing a yellow Saree emerged out of the deep-muddy water of Charmanvati river. Her fair skin was wrapped fully under her Saree not showing a bit of her skin.
Looking at Srivastav and party going further away almost disappearing from her sight, She longingly looked at the 'Voyage' before folding her hands as a form of utmost gratitude while her light brown pupils shining from her semi-transparent Veil of her Saree were filled with immense respect.
The strange thing here wasn't the appearance of this deity like a woman but her appearance. Under her Yellow Saree one could view a deep crimson liquid disappearing at an astonishing pace before disappearing completely. Before some drops of blood would from her body before dissolving in the flowing water creating a horrendous picture. However, basked in the presence of Vasusena's chants, the crimson blood disappeared without a trace.
Leaving behind a pure lady known as Charmanvati, also known as Chambal river to the World. She was formed from the blood of countless animals killed by King Rantideva as a form of sacrifice. At that time, the world was horrified by the fearful shrieks of innocent animals. Be it land or sky, both of them cried their heart out. This vile act of Rantideva was an unforgivable sin! Due to the unholy sacrifices performed by infamous King Rantideva, she was deemed as a cursed river by the humans and other beings alike. Even touching her water had became a taboo. Her Niyati was to live a lonely life till Draupadi will curse her again so that she would live more lonely and sad life. When the Kalyuga finally arrive, she would be used as a medium to promote negative emotions among living beings before Lord 'Kalki' would cleanse her.
Fortunately, by the mighty prowess of 'Om', the negative emotions of the animal spirit inside her were cleansed much earlier. They got Moksha and successfully ascended from the world of mortals, Mrityu-loka. Simultaneously purifying Charmanvati river. Freeing from one of the vile curse.
Hence, Charmanvati Devi will always remember this debt of gratitude which would be paid in full, when the right time comes. When Karna would need her.
As for the one main culprit of the incident, Karna remained ignorant of his amazing feat...
After crossing Charmanvati river, Karna and others once again arrived in the pure water of Yamuna river. Yamuna river's water was hailed to be sweeter than the sweetest nectar in the mortal world.
Affected by this sweetness, Makar and the school of fishes were dazed for a moment. But, only for a moment as they recovered quickly and continued their journey towards the Kingdom of Anga.
Yamuna, her descent on Earth was a confusing matter. In one story she came to the mortal plane to pray for his brother Yama to be freed from his curse of losing his foot which he used to attack his mother's other half 'Chhaya'. In another story, she was brought to the Earth by the ascetic practice of the Seven Sages where she first descended on Mount Kalinda or maybe both.
However, one thing must be noted, she is one of the daughters of Suryadev and Sandhya Devi, beloved sister of Yama(The God of Death) and future wife of Shri Krishna who accompanied him from his incarnation till death.
Currently, she was paying respect to her father, Suryadev when she felt a divine presence entering her water from Chambal river.
At first she was a little baffled, it was unrealistic that something holy would ever enter from the Chambal river. Not to mention that Chambal was known for its dark murky water, she was formed as a curse.
Since it piqued her interest, she secretly came to observe the divine presence only to witness the purification of Chambal. Though she is a goddess, even she hadn't seen this type of miracle which only Mata Bhagirathi can perform that too due to her boon.
It was unthinkable for a child to achieve the feat that countless sages can't perform. Chambal's curse wasn't due to her bad karma but it was the amalgamation of negative emotions of countless animals. Although Sages can exchange Chambal's bad karma onto themselves or they could perform Yagya(Worshipping Supreme lord or Nature).
However, to clear this much negative thoughts, only Trimurties incarnation can perform these feats. She was aware that the child was anything but an incarnation of any Supreme lord.
Curious about the child's truth, she followed the wax basket till the Ganga-Yamuna-Sarswati meet or Triveni Sangam. A place where the three holiest rivers meet.
Though curious about the child, she couldn't bring herself to stop that wax basket. She had already lost herself in the divine chants of 'Om' as she too recited this divine syllable, forgetting about her objective.
Instead of finding the truth, she herself accompanied the child bathing in a strange yet familiar radiance that she had seen countless times, to the Ganges river.
'Huh!'
When Srivastav had left her water's, It was then she came out of her stupor. Despite Yamuna's urge to catch up to the child, she was aware of her inability to do so.
It was as far as she could venture, she couldn't enter Ganges water without her permission as it would be very disrespectful towards Mother Ganga and even if she could, it would be disastrous for other creatures.
Hence, She dropped her impossible plan and looked at the child with a tilak in the shape of Surya appearing into the horizon, it was the most she could do at that moment.
However, that divine child left her with feelings of familiarity and closeness, like they were somehow connected with each other. She some how knows him.
Therefore, she decided to inform mother Ganga before leaving to discuss this issue with her father, Suryadev.
