The guild leaders of the major guilds, staring at the vast gap that had opened up on the battlefield, had ashen faces. 

Their hands trembled slightly, and their eyes were a fiery shade of red.

The surviving warriors stood stupefied on the battlefield, dumbly watching the [demon guards] swing their deadly blades, harvesting the lives of their comrades.

The reserve troops, forgetting their duties, were at a loss on how to fill the gaping void on the battlefield. 

The Legion of Cataclysm had launched their full-scale assault, and merely with the initial contact, the player warriors who had been holding on for over two hours now found themselves nearly incapacitated.

Gazing at the [demon guards] who were mercilessly slaughtering the players, and the even more terrifying monsters behind them, a profound sense of powerlessness surged within every player.
