In a brightly lit hospital room, a young boy no older than twelve was staring up from his hospital bed. In front of his face a crying woman with long brown hair was staring in his direction.
" Don't cry mommy," his voice sounding dry and itchy washed over the womans' ears.
Though meant to stop her tears, this had the opposite effect. As more tears ran down her face the woman went out of the room to speak to a man whose face, despite the sad situation, looked proud.
" Don't worry honey. He fought so hard to beat the tumor. His classmates came to see him and he himself looks happy that we are all here to support him in the end. I've never been prouder to call him my son," the man spoke such kind words at the woman her whimpers stopped and turned into a bright smile in the boys direction.
Feeling a tug at his heart the boy knew it was time. He looked at the couple with bright eyes and a lovely smile. He did not know how long he had left, but he knew there was one thing he needed them to know." I love you mo...."
Light fell from his eyes and no facial expression was seen. The couple knew he was gone, but the woman refused to let her child go without one final wish.
"God's above please watch over my child and destin him for greatness in his next life. May he make friends and family who can do no wrong by him. I would give my all just for that," she spoke to the heavens .

In the void of the afterlife
A small soul slowly floated about in a space filled by black mist. Nothing to see or do to keep a record of time passed, this soul had no idea of how long it had been in the place. It has no body,but all of its memories. Happiness and sadness both clouded its consciousness. All the time spent in the dark it only wanted one thing. To be alive again.
With some more time passing the soul suddenly began to feel something strange. To feel anything was strange as the soul thought it had no body to do so. It was a familiar feeling.
"Air! Am I breathing?" The soul thought to itself.
" No, not exactly boy. Though I'm glad you can finally hear me. Listen well as I don't have much time. You are a soul I have reincarnated. I will.."
" Who said that. Dad is that you? No I'm dead right? Are you god?" The soul gave an abrupt stop to the voice as he had heard nothing for so long it startled him.
" How about you listen and I will fill you in." The voice spoke in an irritated fashion, but it understood why the child soul reacted the way it did.
" Sure thing sorry." The soul apologized swiftly not wanting to disrespect the voice.
" I am Kyota, a god of creation in my realm. I had hoped a stronger soul would appear to me, but as I am lacking in power this mission falls to you boy. I have reincarnated you. You are currently in your mother's belly about to be born so listen closely."
The soul made no sound in its thoughts as it wanted to here out the godly entity.
" I must ask you to destroy my life's greatest mistake. The dragon god of my realm was killed by my own creation. I once took a soul from your world and brought it here in hopes he would make things better. I was wrong and I gave my life to seal him. My body gone and my soul dissipating into nothingness I give you my last bit of power. It is the last hope against him. Save my people. Save us! My soul is to become your power and guide you as you grow."
" So you start me off as a baby, to grow and fight a God creature capable of killing God's before he became one with your very last piece of existence. Is all that right?" The soul exclaimed with a sarcastic tone.
" Ye.. yes but.. I "
" Yeah as I thought you didn't think this through."
" I was dying. And your soul was just weak enough to pull through the veil."
" Sure. Blame my weak twelve year old soul for your short coming."
Kyota had no retort for the souls disrespect. He had to do something quick and not thinking did the same as before and reached into another realm for help. What's done is done and he can't take it back now.
" Fine Kyota," Kyota looked at the soul puzzled for a moment, " I will stop the dragon god and bring peace to the world on one condition."
" What condition? I really need your help and time for talk is up."
" I want a companion who will grow with me. I was an only child for so long and I hated it. Is it to late for a little sibling?"
" That's it! I am a god who could have given you skills and and weapon that match greater god like items and all you want is a sibling." The god was truly puzzled at this.
" Fine ! It's a deal. You and your sibling.....please, save us."
