Chereads / AU: Jessie’s Pokémon Journey / Chapter 29 - Not Another Teen Episode

Chapter 29 - Not Another Teen Episode

The episode starts with nightfall and zooms into a campfire, then it gets blown out by James as he enters the tent, where the rest of the gang is at.

"Okay, the campfire is blown out!" James gets all comfy into his sleeping bag.

"Goodnight!" Everyone says to each other as they head to sleep.

A few seconds later, James rises from his sleeping bag, looking annoyed.

"I can't sleep," James says.

"Why?" Domino asked, rising as well.

"I don't know," James answered. "I just don't feel tired yet."

"Actually… I feel that too." Meowth admitted.

Soon after, Jessie, Domino, and Meowth rise up from their sleeping bags.

"What are we going to do?" Jessie asked.

"I normally go to sleep after a good bedtime story, you know?" James says.

Everyone looks at James with a weirded-out expression.

"Dude… you're sixteen," Domino says.

"SO?!" James yelled. "Stories are so interesting and fun to listen to! I also heard it helps people sleep at night."

Domino groans. "Fine. Does anyone have a story they can tell?"

"Well, you already know my full story. How can I talk and how I was caught by Professor Oak." Meowth says.

James thought of something. "I got an idea!" He turns to Jessie. "Jessie, can you tell us how you and Leaf became rivals?"

Jessie's eyes widened. "Leaf?!"

The title of the episode shows.

"Not Another Teen Episode."

"Leaf…" Jessie growls. "Just saying her name makes me almost want to puke!"

"Now I'm definitely interested in this story!" Meowth admitted with a huge smile.

"Now you have to tell us! Pretty please, Jessie?" Domino asked nicely.

Jessie sighs. "Okay, okay. I will."

Jessie's friends were all hyped up and gathered around. It cuts to Team Rocket behind a tree, close to where the gang's tent is.

"Shall we go in and try to steal Meowth now?" Mondo asked.

"Actually wait," Cassidy commanded. "I want to hear the twerpette's story."

Butch nods in agreement. "Yeah!"

Mondo opens his jaw in disbelief. "But I thought we were gonna steal Meowth now!"

Cassidy shushes Mondo. "Quiet or the twerps will hear us. We were… until they mentioned the story that the twerp is gonna tell and I want to hear this!"

"I love a good drama story!" Butch admitted.

Mondo sighs. "Fine."

It cuts back to the tent where Jessie and her friends are all gathered around.

All of a sudden, Gastley burst out of their Poké Ball. "I want to hear this story!"

"Gastley! Get back in your Poké Ball!" James demanded.

"Come on! It's night so I can be out and I want to listen to this story loud and clear!" Gastly responded.

"It's fine James, Gastley can listen," Jessie says.

James sighs. "Fine!"

Gastly looks hyped. "This is going to be so exciting! I'm definitely going to enjoy this!"

Meowth growls. "And I want to enjoy this story too, so keep your mouth shut!"

Jessie clears her throat and begins telling the story. "Okay, this story dates back to when I was fifteen and at school. It was actually my first day of this new school I was transferred in-"

As Jessie continues to tell the story, the main flashback of the entire episode begins. A fifteen-year-old Jessie opens the double doors of the new school she just transferred to.

Jessie looks around and sees a bunch of students walking around in the hallways. "Whoa… this school has a lot of students. I guess I should head to the registrar's office." She walks off.

It cuts to Jessie arriving at the registrar's office, seeing the school receptionist, and waving hello to her. "Hello! I'm Jessie, I just transferred here?"

"Oh right, Jessie! Please go see the principal's office and he will help you get started with your new school." The school receptionist replied with a smile.

Jessie nods. "Thank you!" She walks off towards the principal's office.

Jessie arrives in front of the door leading to the principal's office. She takes a deep breath before knocking on the door and waiting for a response.

"Come in!" A male voice replied to the knocking, most likely it was the principal of the school.

Jessie opens the door and enters the principal's office. "Hello, sir! I'm new here and I just transferred."

The principal slowly turns his chair around to face Jessie. "Ah yes, Jessie, you're the new student here. Well, first off I like to say, Welcome to Kanto High School. We are pleased to have you. I'm Principal Chandler." The principal introduces himself.

Jessie nods. "It's nice to meet you, Principal Chandler. I can't wait to start school here."

Principal Chandler chuckles. "I bet you can't. Just remember to behave, because we're not afraid to hand out punishments." He glares at the new student.

Jessie immediately bows, nervously. "Y-yes sir! I'll try my best!"

"Good, then I guess we won't have a problem then and I better be not wrong." Principal Chandler gets out of his chair and walks towards Jessie. "Here is your schedule." He hands Jessie her schedule. "And here's your locker number and the combination for it on a piece of paper." He then hands Jessie a piece of paper with a locker number and the combination to it.

Jessie bows. "Thank you, sir!"

"Oh please, just call me Principal Chandler." The principal says.

"Right. Sorry, Principal Chandler. I shall leave now" Jessie exits the principal's office.

It cuts to Jessie arriving at her locker, she then looks at the piece of paper with the combination on it and starts putting it in. After putting the combination in, Jessie tries to open the locker, but it won't budge open.

"What?" Jessie questioned while confused. She puts in the combination again in the same order, but the locker still won't open. "I'm putting in the combination, what the fuck?!"

Time skips after many failed attempts by Jessie to try opening her locker.

Jessie growls in frustration. "What am I doing wrong?!"

"Here, try it this way." An unknown voice replied to her.

"Huh?" Jessie looks where that voice came from and it was male, with purple hair, and wearing a suit. He walks up towards Jessie.

The purple-haired person puts the combination in Jessie's locker the opposite way that Jessie has been doing and then the locker opens.

"There we go!" The purple-haired person says in delight.

"Huh?! How did it open it that way?" Jessie asked in confusion.

"You were turning the combination in the wrong way, it was actually the very opposite direction. Yeah, the principal sometimes doesn't include the direction of turns for the locker combination. He can be lazy sometimes." The purple-haired person says.

"Oh, well thanks!" Jessie starts putting her things inside her locker.

"Say, I haven't seen you around at all. Are you new here?" Purple-haired asked.

Jessie nods. "Yep, I'm new here! I'm Jessie, nice to meet you."

"I'm Will." Purple-haired introduces himself. "It's nice to meet you too."

"Well since you've been here before I did, what's this school like? Is it good, bad, in the middle?" Jessie asked.

"This school could get a little crazy at times," Will answered. "Sometimes I wonder if the staff even cares about the students. They just let them do whatever they want."

Jessie gulps. "I didn't like the sound of that…"

"It's fine. If you want, I can take you under my wing and I could make you popular." Will smiles.

"Popularity?" Jessie questioned. "What's so great about that?"

"Oh come on, popularity is great! You get to go to awesome high school parties, many people will talk to you, and…" Will whispers this part into Jessie's ear. "You could get a boyfriend."

Jessie raises an eyebrow. "Seriously? Boys will only like me if I'm popular? They don't care about the personality of a girl?"

Will shakes his head. "Nope. Boys and girls these days only care about looks and…" Will looks up and down. "You're not hideous, so that's a great start."

Jessie looks at Will with an annoyed expression. "Thanks…"

The bell rings for homeroom class to start, immediately grabbing Jessie's attention.

"OH CRAP I'M GOING TO BE LATE!" Jessie sprints off toward her homeroom.

"Wait!" Will starts following Jessie.

It cuts to a classroom where students are already in, as Jessie bursts into the door. Grabbing all the students and the teacher's attention.

"I'M SORRY I WAS LATE! IT'S MY FIRST DAY, PLEASE FORGIVE ME!" Jessie yelled out.

The classroom was filled with silence with everyone looking at Jessie with weirded-out expressions. The teacher walks towards Jessie.

"You were only a couple of seconds late and it's homeroom. You didn't need to scream out like that…" The teacher says.

"Oh… I'm sorry, teacher, please forgive me." Jessie bows her head for forgiveness.

"Just take your seat already…" The teacher commanded.

Jessie spots a seat and starts heading towards it, while everyone is staring directly at her. Jessie looks in both directions to see them staring at her, her body language tells that she's embarrassed as Jessie just takes her seat. Will all of a sudden rise above the seat behind Jessie.

"Nice going, now you're unpopular," Will whispered in a sarcastic tone.

Jessie gasped silently. "How did you get here before me? I was way in front of you!"

"That's a secret that I can't tell." Will grins. "Back to the point, your little stunt earlier just made it tougher to get you popular."

"Aw come on, I was late. It's a perfectly normal reaction." Jessie countered.

"But no one just busts into the door and screams at the top of their lungs about it!" Will countered back. "You should've walked to the teacher and then apologized for being late in a normal speaking tone."

"Oh… oops." Jessie rubs her head in embarrassment. She looks to see students looking at her and then whispering to each other. "They're talking about me, are they?"

Will nods. "Pretty much, yeah…"

The classroom door opens and everyone looks to see that it's Jessie's future rival, Leaf, with some students right behind her and has a cup full of coffee with her.

The teacher looks at Leaf. "Leaf, you and the other students are five minutes late."

Leaf rolls her eyes. "Why would I care? This class isn't important anyway."

The students, except Jessie and Will all laugh at Leaf's comment about the class. Leaf takes her seat with everyone else immediately gathering around her.

Jessie starts looking at the popular girl. "Who's that?"

"Her name is Leaf," Will answered. "She's the most popular girl in the school, everyone wants to be here."

"How come?" Jessie asked another question.

"Well… she's the granddaughter of the very famous Professor Oak," Will answered once more.

Jessie's jaw dropped in disbelief. "The famous Professor Oak, like the most famous professor of them all?!"

Will nods. "Yep, that's the one."

"Wow… no wonder why she's popular," Jessie says, still looking at Leaf.

The teacher stands up. "Alright class, assuming everyone is here, let's take attendance."

The flashback cuts to lunch with Jessie walking into the cafeteria.

She looks at all the students seated at a table and chatting with each other. "I wonder where I'm going to sit?" Jessie thought to herself.

Will walks up behind her and has a tray with the school's lunch in hand. "Are you going to get your lunch?"

"Oh, no thanks!" Jessie pulls out her lunchbox. "I already got my very own lunch that my mom packed for me."

Will looks at Jessie's lunchbox and it shows a blonde girl with blue eyes wearing a white shirt, a blue skirt, and a red ribbon on her chest like a guardian. "You actually watched that series?" He asked.

"Yeah? Got a problem with that?" Jessie asked rhetorically while raising her eyebrow.

Will immediately blushes and starts denying it. "No! No! No! I actually like the series too. Look, let's just take our table."

Jessie and Will find an empty table. They both sit down and begin eating their lunch.

Jessie is seen scarfing down her lunch with fast speed. "Mom makes the most delicious lunches ever!"

Will looks on with an annoyed expression. "She isn't going to survive here." He quietly says to himself.

Meanwhile, Leaf was sitting with her many groups of friends right next to the table where Jessie and Will were sitting and overheard Jessie.

"Wow, you're a little mama's girl? That's so lame!" Leaf then proceeds to laugh as her friends follow with laughter.

Jessie rolls her eyes. "At least my parents loved me enough to not name me after a fucking plant."

"Oooohhhh." The students said after hearing Jessie's comeback to Leaf.

Leaf growls in anger then she immediately stands up and starts walking towards Jessie.

"This is bad…" Will says to himself once more.

Leaf glares at Jessie. "You think you can talk to me like that, the most popular girl in this school?! You got another thing coming!"

"Oh please, you're only popular because you so happened to be Professor Oak's granddaughter. You don't have any real friends." Jessie said back.

"OH SNAP!" One of the students yelled out.

"Leaf is getting absolutely owned by the new girl!" Another student says.

Leaf throws a punch and it hits Jessie right in the eye.

"OW!" Jessie holds her eye. "I'm going to kick your fucking ass, bitch!" She was about to punch Leaf back until Will held her back.

"She isn't worth it! You don't want to get in trouble on the first day!" Will explained.

Jessie takes some deep breaths and calms down.

"Aww, you're having your friend help you? You're so weak and pathetic!" Leaf chuckles and so do the students.

"At least I actually have a real friend, Ms. Popular bitch!" Jessie fired back with anger.

"You're going to let her talk to you like that, Leaf?" A student says.

"Come on, beat the shit out of her!" Another student says.

Leaf was about to throw another punch toward Jessie when the intercom came on.

"Hello, students of Kanto High! This announcement is to remind you that tonight is the upcoming Autumn Dance! Get to dance with your special someone, play some games, have a Pokémon battle with your fellow students, and have fun in general! Don't forget that at the very end of the dance, one lucky student will be crowned as 'Autumn Ruler!' That would be pretty cool, huh? That's all students!"

The intercom then turns off.

Leaf looks at Jessie with a grin on her face. "I challenge you to a Pokémon battle at the Autumn Dance! That way, I'll embarrass you in front of the school and you will be the most less popular girl ever in Kanto High!"

Jessie grits her teeth. "I accept your challenge! Pokémon battle at the Autumn Dance, you got it!"

"Good! Don't even try to chicken out!" Leaf laughs and so do the students as well as Leaf and them leave.

"Come on Jessie, let's get you to the Nurse's Office for your eye," Will said.

It cuts to Will taking Jessie to the Nurse's Office.

Nurse Joy hands Jessie a bag full of ice for her eye. "Here you, it's for your eye."

"Thank you." Jessie accepts the bag full of ice and puts it directly over her eye that Leaf punched before. "Ow…"

It cuts to the hallway where Jessie and Will are walking and talking.

Will smirks. "So you're battling Leaf at the Autumn Dance huh? Well, you know you can't lose, but I believe in you that you can win."

"Um… about that." Jessie rubs her head in embarrassment. "I've never been in a Pokémon battle before."

"Then I'll train you how to battle then! What Pokémon are you going to use against Leaf?" Will asked.

"Also about that… I have also never owned a Pokémon before." Jessie now blushes in embarrassment.

Will's jaw dropped in disbelief. "But ten-year-olds can get their very first Pokémon! You're fifteen and still don't have a Pokémon?!"

Jessie groans in annoyance. "My mom won't let me get a Pokémon until I reach sixteen, okay? She's just a little overprotective of me. She thinks that Pokémon are too dangerous for someone of my age to handle."

"I guess I can understand that." Will agreed. "But you can't just show up to the Autumn Dance without a Pokémon in hand."

Jessie's eyes widened. "Y-you're right! What am I going to do?!"

Wills gets an idea. "After school ends, follow and meet me at an area where wild Pokémon can be found."

Jessie nods. "Got it, after school ends."

It cuts to school ending as Jessie follows where the location Will wanted her to be as they see each other.

Will smiles. "Good, you made it."

"So why am I out in the wilderness again?" Jessie asked.

"Well it's simple-" Will hands Jessie an empty Poké Ball. "I'm gonna help you catch your first very own Pokémon."

Jessie's eyes widened. "Will! I can't do that! What if my mother finds out I have a Pokémon in my possession?! I'll get in trouble!"

"Look, just use the Pokémon that you catch to battle with Leaf, and then after you beat her, you can release the Pokémon back into the wild and your mother won't find out," Will explained.

Jessie takes a big sigh. "Okay."

Will smiles. "Alright, let's look for a Pokémon."

It cuts to Jessie and Will walking in the wilderness, looking for a Pokémon to catch. They stumbled across a spherical Pokémon covered in purple fur and it has red eyes. The wild Pokémon is seen eating grass as Jessie and Will immediately hide.

"What Pokémon is that?" Jessie quietly asked Will.

"That's a Venonat. A great beginner Pokémon for you to catch." Will answered. "Okay, since you don't have a Pokémon to battle and weaken it, your best option is to surprise the Pokémon and immediately throw a Poké Ball at it."

"Got it." Jessie looks at the Venonat then the empty Poké Ball she has in her hand then back at the Venonat. "NOW I GOT YOU!" She exits out of hiding and throws the Poké Ball toward the Venonat.

"Venonat?" Venonat looks up in confusion.

However, Jessie misses the Venonat by a lot as the Poké Ball hits a tree then it flings back and hits Jessie in the face.

"OW!" Jessie falls to the ground from getting hit by the Poké Ball.

The wild Venonat fled, escaping from getting captured.

Will sighs. "Maybe it's time for a different plan…"

Jessie gets up with a Poké Ball mark on her face. "Which is?"

"I'm going to let you borrow one of my Pokémon to help you battle Leaf," Will says.

Jessie immediately gets hyped "No way?! Which Pokémon?"

Will pulls out a Poké Ball. "Exeggutor, I need your assistance!" He sends out one of his Pokémon.

"Exeggutor!" The Pokémon cried out.

Jessie looks at Exeggutor in amazement. "Wow, so cool! But will it follow my commands?"

Will turns his attention to his Pokémon. "Exeggutor, I want you to follow this girl's, Jessie, orders for one night."

Exeggutor nods in agreement. "Exeggutor!"

Will smiles. "Excellent!" He turns to Jessie. "Exeggutor's moves are: Reflect, Egg Bomb, Psychic, and Leech Seed. Got it?"

Jessie nods in agreement. "Got it!"

"We should get going so that you won't worry your mother. Here is Exeggutor's Poké Ball and don't let your mother see it." Will hands Jessie Exeggutor's Poké Ball.

Jessie accepts the Poké Ball. "Got it!" She turns to Exeggutor. "Exeggutor, return!" Jessie recalls Exeggutor back in its Poké Ball.

Jessie and Will head out of the wilderness to go back home. It cuts to Jessie arriving back at her house as Miyamoto, Jessie's mother, is washing dishes.

"Hey, sweetie! How was your first day of school at Kanto High?" Miyamoto asked her daughter.

"Oh, it was great Mom!" Jessie nods. "I'm going to go to my room so I can get changed for the Autumn Dance. See ya!" Jessie immediately rushes into her room.

"Okay, have a great-" Miyamoto turns around to see her daughter already in her room. "time?"

It cuts to Jessie in her room, looking at Exeggutor's Poké Ball.

"That was a close one." She sighs in relief. "Time to get dressed!"

Jessie opens her closet and looks at all the options for her to wear at the Autumn Dance.

"Let's see here…" Jessie starts looking through dresses one after one. "No. No. No. Not that. No. Nope."

Soon, Jessie stumbles upon a rose-red dress. "Perfect!" She says in delight and takes the dress out of the closet.

It cuts to evening with Jessie, now in the rose-red dress, and her mother in a vehicle. Miyamoto is driving her daughter to school for the Autumn Dance.

"You look beautiful in that dress, honey," Miyamoto says with a smile.

"Thanks, Mom!" Jessie replies also smiling.

Soon, Miyamoto arrives at the entrance of the school as Jessie exits the vehicle.

"Have a great night, sweetie!" Miyamoto waves goodbye to her daughter as she drives off.

Jessie takes a deep breath before entering the school as she sees many other students in dresses or tuxedos.

"Whoa… everyone looks good tonight," Jessie says to herself.

Will notices Jessie at the entrance. "Hey, Jessie! Nice dress." He walks towards her. "I'm assuming Leaf is looking for you right now."

"Yeah. Maybe if I beat her I have a great chance to become Autumn Ruler!" Jessie says in excitement.

Will shrugs. "Maybe. It will boost up your chances."

Jessie and Will both walk down the cafeteria where the dance is taking place. A bunch of students are gathered up, wearing dresses or tuxedos. Some are in the food area and some are sitting at the tables lined up in the corner and some are already dancing on the dance floor with music playing.

One student immediately recognizes Jessie from afar. "Guys, it's the new girl!" They yelled out.

The crowd immediately goes silent and starts staring directly at Jessie as she gulps and shakes a little.

"Well… good luck," Will says, slowly backing away.

Leaf, in a dress, immediately reveals herself to Jessie with a Poké Ball in her hand. "Wow, I'm surprised you showed up. I thought you chickened out." She smirks.

"I wouldn't back down from beating you and proving why you're only popular is because you're Oak's granddaughter!" Jessie fired back.

Leaf growls in anger. "Enough talking! Everyone clear the dance floor!"

The crowd of students immediately follows Leaf's order as the dance floor is now cleared. Both Jessie and Leaf stand on opposite sides.

"Hold on! Hold on!" Domino's voice is heard, interrupting the flashback.

It cuts back to the present time with the gang in the tent.

"I thought this guy named Luke was your first-ever trainer battle?" Domino questioned.

"Well Luke was my first battle when I became an official Pokémon trainer, but Leaf is technically the first person I have ever battled with," Jessie explained.

Domino nods. "Ahh, I see. You may continue now."

It cuts back to the flashback with Leaf and Jessie getting ready to battle each other.

Leaf tosses her Poké Ball in the air. "Sandslash, go!" She sends Sandslash into battle.

"Sandslash!" Sandslash cried out.

Jessie also tosses her Poké Ball in the air. "Go Exeggutor!" She sends Exeggutor into battle.

"Exeggutor!" Exeggutor cried out.

Leaf growls. "Of course, she has the advantage. She says to herself quietly. "Sandslash, Poison Sting!"

"Sandslash!" Sandslash rolls into a ball and spins around quickly, firing white needles from out of the quills on its back at Exeggutor.

"Exeggutor!" Exeggutor takes a lot of damage from the Poison Sting.

"Oh no!" Jessie starts panicking. "Um… what were Exeggutor's moves again?" She begins to think.

"Come on, make your move already!" A student from the crowd shouted.

"UHH, Leech Seed?" Jessie questions in command.

"Exeggutor!" Exeggutor shoots out a seed and it starts heading towards Sandslash.

"I can't let that move hit! Dodge it, Sandslash!" Leaf commanded.

Sandslash immediately rolls out of the way to dodge the seed that Exeggutor shooted out.

"Drat!" Jessie shouted.

Leaf grins. "Swift, let's go!"

"Sandslash!" Sandslash rolls into a ball and spins, firing white stars out of its quills at the Exeggutor.

Exeggutor takes more damage from the white stars. "Exeggutor!" It cries in more pain.

Meanwhile, Will is watching the battle from the food area and looking worried. "Come on Jessie, use your head!"

"Exeggutor, use Egg Bomb!" Jessie commanded.

"Exeggutor!" The Pokémon fires multiple egg-shaped balls of light from the top of its head at Sandslash.

Leaf grits her teeth. "Dodge those eggs!"

"Sandslash!" Sandslash tries its best to roll out of the way to dodge the eggs, but one of the eggs manages to come in contact with the Pokémon and explodes on contact. "Sandslash!" Sandslash cries in pain while being flung back from the explosion.

Leaf gasped. "No way! Poison Sting!"

"Reflect!" Jessie quickly commanded.

Sandslash rolls into a ball and spins around quickly once more and starts firing more white needles from out of the quills on its back at Exeggutor, but the Pokémon releases a wondrous barrier of light to suppress damage from the Poison Sting.

"I don't know what I did, but it looks like Exeggutor didn't take as much damage as last time." Jessie chuckles.

Leaf growls and starts getting extremely angry. "Use Slash!"

"Sandslash!" The Pokémon dashes and slashes at Exeggutor with its two front claws.

Exeggutor once more barely takes any damage from Reflect.

Jessie clutches her fist. "Leech Seed!"

"Exeggutor!" The Pokémon shoots out another seed right at Sandslash.

"Dodge it again, don't let that Leech Seed hit you!"

Sandslash dodges Leech Seed once more by rolling out of the way.

Jessie sweats from being worried. "That Sandslash is fast!"

"Fury Swipes!" Leaf commanded.

"Sandslash!" Sandslash dashes at Exeggutor once more and swipes the Pokémon five times with its claws.

Exeggutor takes some more damage, even with Reflect, The Pokémon starts looking tired. "Exeggutor…"

Jessie's eyes widened. "Oh no! Exeggutor looks tired. I still haven't used one of its moves yet." She thought to herself. "Psychic!"

"Exeggutor!" Exeggutor's eyes start to glow light green.

All of a sudden, Sandslash starts floating in the air. "Sandslash?!" The Pokémon cried in confusion.

Exeggutor is now in control of Sandslash as it makes it spin in circles while in the air.

"SANDSLASH, POISON STING QUICK!" "FINISH THIS, EXEGGCUTE!" Both girls screamed out to their Pokémon at the same time.

Sandslash starts spewing out white needles right at Exeggutor while getting spun around.

"Exeggutor!" The Pokémon cries in pain, but while getting hit by Poison Sting, Exeggutor manages to make Sandslash crash towards the ground by using Psychic, but only to fall on the ground after.

It reveals that both Sandslash and Exeggutor have fainted. Jessie, Leaf, and the entire crowd of students both gasped at the same time.

"It's a draw!" One of the students called out in the audience.

Then every student who was watching the battle groaned in disappointment and started walking to the dance floor.

"A draw? I didn't want a damn draw!" One of the students says.

Jessie and Leaf both look at each other as they recall the Pokémon back to their Poké Balls.

"So uhh… that was a great battle, I admit," Jessie admitted.

Leaf rolls her eyes. "Whatever! I didn't win, so it was a disappointment for me anyway! At least I will be crowned as Autumn Ruler!"

Jessie also rolls her eyes. "Whatever you say."

A few hours passed as Jessie is now with Will in the food area, returning Exeggutor's Poké Ball to him.

"Sorry that I didn't win the battle, Will." Jessie apologizes.

"It's fine!" Will smiles. "You may have not won, but you didn't lose as well. You battled pretty well for your first battle."

Jessie smiles back. "Thanks, Will!"

A staff member of the school walks onto the stage with a card in hand. "Okay students of Kanto High, may I have your attention please because the revealing of Autumn Ruler is about to begin!"

Everyone becomes silent and turns their attention to the staff member up on the stage.

"Thank you! Okay, everyone has voted and YOUR Autumn Ruler for this school year is…" The staff member opens up the card to reveal the winner and she pauses for a little bit.

Every student, especially Leaf and Jessie, looks nervous.

The staff member finally reveals the winner. "Annie!"

"HUH?!" Both Leaf and Jessie said at different locations.

Everyone claps as Annie, the same blonde girl that Jessie ended up meeting again in the future in the forest, walks onto the stage and puts on the crown.

"OH MY GOODNESS, THANK YOU SO MUCH!" Annie screamed out in excitement from winning.

Jessie looks at the girl and blushes. "Whoa… she's extremely cute."

Will comes from behind her and grins. "So you like her huh?" He chuckles.

Jessie blushes in more embarrassment. "Sh-shut up!" Jessie looks and then sees Leaf immediately running away from the crowd of students and the dance in general. "Huh?"

"What's up?" Will asked.

"Nothing… just nothing," Jessie answered.

It cuts to the present time with the gang in the tent.

"The end!" Jessie says with a nod.

"THAT'S IT?!" Everyone else screamed out.

"Are you completely sure that's it?!" Meowth asked.

Jessie nods. "Yep. I said the end after all."

"B-but that can't be it!" Domino denied.

James nods. "Yeah, there's gotta be more!"

"I feel like I got ripped off!" Gastly says.

Jessie shrugs. "That's it. Sorry for the disappointing ending, but let's head to bed now." She gets in her sleeping bag.

James recalls Gastly as everyone else gets in their sleeping bag. It cuts to Team Rocket.

Cassidy growls. "What a disappointing ending!"

Mondo nods. "Yeah! And I was enjoying the story too!"

"Would've been a lot better if I was in it," Butch says.

All of a sudden, the same Haunter, that's been following the gang, appears right in Team Rocket, as the trio shrieks.

"Ha ha ha ha!" Haunter starts making funny faces at Team Rocket.

Team Rocket starts smiling, trying hard not to laugh.

"We can't laugh or we will alert the twerp! Let's get out of here!" Cassidy sprints off as Butch and Mondo follow her.

It cuts inside the tent towards Jessie in her sleeping bag, with her eyes closed. She starts to think about what indeed happened that night as Jessie smiles in delight. It cuts back to the flashback right where Jessie saw Leaf running.

"Hey, Will… I'll be right back," Jessie says.

"Alright, be careful," Will responded.

"I will… no pun intended." Jessie walks off in the direction where Leaf ran off to.

It cuts to Leaf on the rooftop of the high school, where she's looking at the stars. Soon, she hears the door to the roof open as she turns around and sees Jessie.

Leaf looks annoyed. "Oh, it's you…"

"Hey, are you alright?" Jessie asked, standing next to her.

Leaf rolls her eyes. "Why would you care?"

"Because I want to, that's why," Jessie responded.

Leaf sighs. "You know how tough it is to be popular? You have to be very good at everything! You have to win and all of that! Not only did my battle with you end up as just a draw but I wasn't crowned as Autumn Ruler!" She starts to express sadness. "This is the worst night ever!"

Jessie starts to feel bad for her. "If it makes you feel better… that Exeggutor wasn't mine." She admitted.

Leaf looks at Jessie with a shocked expression. "What?"

Jessie continues admitting. "Yeah… I didn't have a Pokémon to begin with. My mom won't let me have one until I turn sixteen, so I borrowed a Pokémon from Will."

"Wow… I have something to confess as well. I didn't have a Pokémon either. That Sandslash was one of my friends I borrowed too." Leaf did admit it as well.

"Wait, you're serious?" Jessie said in shock. "But you're Professor Oak's granddaughter, I expect you're the last person without a Pokémon."

Leaf continues admitting. "I know! That's what everyone expected, but it's false so I can just be popular in school… I'm planning on starting my journey when I reach sixteen as well even though my grandfather let me go when I was ten, but I refused."

Jessie chuckles. "I guess we have a lot of things in common."

Leaf nods. "Yeah, I guess so." Then she sighs. "But I also told my friends that I kissed someone, even though that's also false as well. I'm a complete liar!" Leaf kicks the floor of the rooftop in anger.

Jessie thinks for a little bit and then she sighs. "Do you… not want to make that false anymore? I will gladly help you with that."

That immediately grabs Leaf's attention. "What? You're saying we should-"

Jessie nods. "Yes…"

Leaf thinks for a little bit. "Fine, BUT some conditions: We don't tell anyone about this ever, I will say I kissed an extremely hot person and not you and we continue hating each other after this! Deal?"

"Deal," Jessie responded.

Jessie and Leaf both are standing in front of each other, looking at their eyes. They both closed them and started slowly leaning toward each other with their lips puckered up. Both girls' lips come in contact as they have officially kissed right on the spot. The girls are seen blushing as it slowly fades to black.
