The crown prince Alexandro didn't exactly know why he felt guilty, but he did. Why the fuck did he feel guilty. He had never felt guilty in his life except...
Maybe apologizing would help solve my problem. He thought. What was he thinking, the only person he had apologized to was a long time friend he wanted to see again but couldn't. And that friend had been his only friend till many things tore them apart... Into million pieces. But, he couldn't bring himself to apologize. He called a guard. Was it Mellitus. Yes, Mellitus.
"Mellitus", he called and the guard came. Naturally, he would just give out the instruction, but here he was asking which post was he in. "Guard duty, is it now?".
God help my soul.
"No, your highness,I'm standing in for someone, he has a serious case of malaria", Mellitus said, his head bowed low. " Come". Mellitus came closer. Crown prince Alexandro motioned him to bend. "Check what that lady Celine is up to. And, uh, do it in secret". Mellitus nodded and went.
Celine was standing near the lake, it would have been good for painting. The dark clouds, the dull colour it had but emitted such dangerous aura... The rain
Very poetic.
She sighted Mellitus and called him, she had taken a liking to the young chap. He was handsome with sideburns that made her heart ache. He was too handsome and too good to be a soldier. He should have been an idol that one worshipped, just that his was a case of mortality.
" What are you doing here?" She asked and he looked very hesitant. "Nothing, lady Celine", he said. He must have recognized that she trusted him and breaking that trust by lying... He didn't want to think about it, but the crown prince...
"Are you sure? You were staring at me as if something was aloof", she said looking suspiciously but yet softly at him. "I'll leave first ", he said and hurried off before she could even utter a word.
So much for secretly.
Mellitus returned to the crown prince Alexandro. "So?", He asked.
" She is at the lake, your highness, doing nothing". Crown prince Alexandro nodded and the soldier left. He sighed and stood. He walked to where she stood near the lake standing beside her and saying nothing. "Lady Celine", he called. She turned to face him. "Yes, your highness". He looked at her, she looked happy and that her lips. The one he had kissed when he was drunk to nothingness, those lips told him that he could do anything, even kiss her again. He pinched himself, why was he thinking about the lips of a supposed scandal. "I came to check on you". That didn't sound honest, it sounded more like prisoner- guard relationship or illegitimate - father relationship. She looked at him to see if he had s high fever. "Are you okay?". No, this was too much, she touched his head, he was fine. Maybe it was celebral malaria. "Yes", she said feeling his head. "The other day... "
"Is it the food, I found out..."
"No, I apologize for talking down at you". Celine felt so confused than she had ever been in eighteen years. "When?". She could feel his temperature rise when he had apologized." The day I bumped into you"
Since then? This guy must really take things to heart.
"Oh, that. No worries, I forgot about that a long time ago", she said smiling. "But it happened the day..."
"Don't bother yourself, I'm not like you", she said turning to leave. "So, you're not going to accept my apology because you've forgot all about it?" He asked and she nodded just to make trouble. "I let myself, crown prince Alexandro Do Chez apologize..." Celine laughed. "You see, you didn't even sincerely apologize. Pride". She said and he frowned. Celine pointed to his chest. "This heart is so cold, your highness and messy". Immediately she had said that, she shut her mouth putting her hand over it. He looked at her curiously. To be sincere he wanted to hear more but before he could utter a word, she had sped.
For her life.
Celine wanted to curse the crown prince but thought it wrong. She couldn't curse herself and so the only person left to curse was the crown prince of Segovia, Logan. She cursed until there was no other word to use.
Do me anything, but not killing me. I've always lived a lowly and helpless life, but never did anything good. I don't want to go to hades.
Crown prince Alexandro who had caught up with her looked at her as if she was possessed by a different kind of wicked spirit. What the hell was she blubbering."Lady Celine of Garcia. Are you in your right state of mind?". Celine jerked to life, she stared ghostly at the crown prince Alexandro. "I deserve to die, but don't kill me", she said. He looked confused all the more. He wanted to understand this woman but, shit! She was difficult to understand.
"I'm not killing you. Tell me, how messed up is my life", he asked truly concerned about his life. " Don't put me to death, your highness". He nodded. "I'm not planning".
This was her specialty , telling people who they were, how they are meant to be declared void and extinct. She won gold medals in this kind of things.
Telling them the bullshit about their life.

The queen sat on the throne doing a meeting without her son. This was a meeting no one knew about. Though it was done in such a place like the throne room, no one had found out. The Court officials sat waiting for the announcement. The queen sighed. "I heard some of you are debating if you would petition for my dethrone me". Murmuring filled the room . "Lord Phil!" She called and the man was brought out by the soldiers and was chained hands, feet and neck . He was bleeding profusely and had a runny nose.
"This is what would be done to any man who thinks they can defile my throne. They poured the young man in his late fourties acid. The queen herself took a hot spoon and dabbed it on his face then his armpits. His scream would've been heard everywhere but the room was soundproof. "This man should be tortured and beheaded outside the city gates and left for vultres, he deserves more than death". The queen went back to her seat and set. The Court officials stood and bowed down to her.
Lord Phil was taken away. The only thing the poor lord ever did was to object on the removal of subsidy.
