Chapter 1 - Dark

I woke up with a stab wound on four parts of my body and the fifth was stitched up.

It didn't seem to hurt or anything but I could hear the voices around me talking about something I didn't seem to understand.

"Are you sure It's dead?" a man whose voice seemed rather rough echoed breaking the still air.

"yes, duke "Augustus Hawthorne" another voice echoed but was loud enough to break a glass.

Of course I didn't know what they where talking about or what they meant by 'IT'

but I did know one thing and it was that I couldn't see anything.

"oh, yes this place was always dark" I whisperd as if to hide myself from being seen.

"very well, since you've made sure, burn everything down before dawn" the man whom was referred to as referred to as  'Augustus Hawthorne' said as he took a glance and gave a disgusted look before he swiveled his way out.

"tsk, I can't believe i have to burn everything just because of one failure if I'd known this was going to happen I'd have refused his offer" the last person in the room spoke while grumbling as he threw a flint on a stack of paper.

If only I hadn't come out he probably wouldn't have fell, right?

"here, you dropp-" I wasn't given a chance to speak when the man who looked like he was young enough to be called a man in his twenties.

He had brown hair and black pupils, there where dark shades under his eyes that could make one notice how tired he was,he didn't seem to be much taller than me tho.

"m m mn- monster-" i choked on my words,I could have sworn the thing in front of me was one of those things that one couldn't make up no matter how hard they tried.

I couldn't make a thing of what he had said so I decided to give him what he dropped, since he seemed to not understand me.
