Julie huffed as she stared at Lu Zheng. Her face was darkened in frustration.
She was unable to harm him in the least bit because he was too good at dodging. His greater pace allowed him to control the flow of the battle.
Julie knew that if Lu Zheng's cultivation base was just one tier higher, she would have died long ago.
"Do you only know how to run around like a rodent?" Julie shouted in an attempt to goad Lu Zheng.
"Hehehe. A Void Passage realm expert can't kill a simple rodent. How interesting" Lu Zheng chuckled as afterimages of his body filled the place.
Julie's face darkened like the bottom of a pot when she heard Lu Zheng's words: "I'll kill you!"
Two deities formed mid-air and began attacking Julie.
Sharp winds, lightning balls and Fire Dragons would be sent Julie's way by Lu Zheng but she would destroy everything at once.
Lu Zheng's only advantage was his speed.
Jason and Olina fought each other not too far from Lu Zheng and Julie.
Fire rippled like flowing water towards Jason who used sun Qi to formed protective barriers around himself.
Even so, the protective barriers were being destroyed by the fire. Olina was a step stronger than Jason.
Julie looked as annoyed as ever: "You are only at the Sky realm. Soon, your Qi will run out and then, then I'll kill you"
Lu Zheng did not respond and silently continued to attack. He knew that his Qi leaves were limited compared to that of a Void Passage realm expert's.
Even his bloodline power would soon be depleted completely.
However, Lu Zheng was unfazed. He still had one trump card left.
Ethereal soul tendrils snaked towards Julie's corporal body as she defended against Lu Zheng's other techniques.
Julie was so immersed in defending herself that she did not sense the soul tendrils.
Just as they wrapped around her body and were about to destroy her soul, a bright light shined that blinded Lu Zheng and the others.
When the light dissipated, a short humanoid figure was standing between the four martial practitioners.
"What is this?!" Olina felt disgusted the moment she saw the figure.
It was barely three feet tall with green hair covering its entire body. Underneath the hair were intricate scales that overlapped each other.
Its head was completely bald and even radiated a faint glow of light. The figure bared its uneven but sharp fangs and the quartet.
"The Jin-Jin Clan of the Five Great Rebel Races!" Lu Zheng blurted out the moment he saw the figure.
The Jin-Jin clansman cocked its head slightly as he regarded Lu Zheng. Amusement was written all over his face.
It felt like time had stopped and subconsciously, Lu Zheng and the rest were holding their breaths as if waiting for something big to occur.
None of them were even interested in fighting anymore.
Finally, the Jin-Jin clansman spoke in a raspy voice: "It is surprising that a human is still able to recognise one of the Five Great Rebel Races. Very well, I am Galuo and I am the one who will kill you all"
Light poured from Galuo's body as his aura rose steeply from the first tier of Sky realm, then the second tier, the third tier…
It was only when his aura was akin to that of the third tier of Void Passage realm that it stabilised. The light that poured from his meridians gathered around him, bending at his will.
"Tch!" Julie snorted in indignation as sun Qi transformed into numerous dazzling golden arrows.
The arrows locked onto Galuo and dove piercingly towards him. However, Galuo made no attempts to escape the trajectory of the arrows.
Galuo flicked his wrist and white light writhed in front of him like it had substance.
When the arrows came in contact with the arrows, the golden arrows melted into nothingness.
Julie's gaze flickered as she stared at Galuo. Although her attack seemed very simple, there was a lot of strength behind it.
Yet, Galuo had easily destroyed it.
His strength was definitely leaps and leaps above hers.
"Don't bother resisting. All four of you together cannot even scratch my scales" Galuo chuckled as he spoke.
"Hmph!" Jason snorted as sun Qi exploded forth from his aperture. The surroundings became darker as a blinding light erupted from his body.
The miniature sun above him became dozens of times brighter that it was impossible for Lu Zheng to look at it directly.
Bands of sunlight many metres long stretched from Jason and slithered towards Galuo. A strong heat radiated from the bands.
"Humans… you don't know when to yield" Galuo snapped his fingers and light Qi from his aperture struck the bands of sunlight.
Like Julie's arrows, the bands of sunlight disintegrated instantly.
Jason coughed up mouthfuls of blood. It was obvious that he had suffered a backlash.
Lu Zheng's red pupils shimmered in thoughts as he cancelled Ignition. He was almost out of bloodline power.
His body returned back to normal except that he still had red eyes and red hair – the symbolic battle form of the Vermillion Bird Race.
Fire Qi converged over his body as he used a bloodline technique.
The sound of chains being dragged through the ground echoed in everybody's minds as fiery chains jutted from Lu Zheng's body.
"Vermillion Branding Chains…"
The chains were crimson red and the Vermillion True Flame burnt on each column.
The chains were made out of pure fire Qi and contained the Mystical Flame – the Vermillion True Flame.
Lu Zheng was using the final drops of bloodline power left in his body.
Whether his attack worked or not, his battle strength would severely drop afterwards.
