Synopsis

Chapter 1 - Rising from the ashes

I had many plans tonight. Dying wasn't one of them. No sir it was not. That broken piece of the angle grinder really tore through my neck there, still remembering the felling on chocking on my own blood. In those last moments where my life flashed through my mind, I couldn't help but notice something.

I was a big Pussy all my life!

Just a big coward with my tail between my legs, running away from confrontations. Always being a people pleaser, never just looking out for myself. Even steping out of my comfort zone to help others, I never got help back. And now, all because of the incompitence of an Apprentice I fucking died!

[You have died]

Hearing a robotic voice I opened my eyes to see where it came. What greeted me was a blue transparent pop-up window.

"No shit Sherlock. Now, who are you and what do you want?" I asked, a mixture of anger from my previous rant and curiousity on what it could be.

[Now can the proces begin. In this life cycle, a good amount of Karma point have accumulated. Possibility for Reincarnation. Do you want to Reincarnate?]

"Reincarnation? You mean, like Isekai or something?" I said out loud, realising in what predicament I'm in.

[That is correct]

"Then yes I do!" I said without a second of thinking it through. How could I even, now that reincarnation was always real and that I can live my life however I wanted.

[Then please choose one World you want to reincarnate]

It then showed me several thousand options of worlds I could reincarnate to. Most of them not for my taste; Like why would I want to be in The Walking Dead if I could go to one piece. Scrolling down, one Option of my childhood came: Avatar the last airbender. I always dreamt of being sent their, following Aang and Co. on adventures, defeating the fire lord. Then I grew up and noticed I liked the Fire Nation more in their brutality and aggression, most likely being the fault me building up my anger.

"I choose the Avatar world!" I pressed down on the Icon depicting The world of Avatar, making the pop-up vanish and a new one showed itself.

[Do you confirm? Yes/No]

I clicked yes, and as soon as I did, I lost my consciousness.

"Argh!" When I came back to my senses, I noticed my surroundings changed. It looked something like a storage room by the looks of it. Standing up, I noticed something drasticly wrong with my attire: Instead of the normal Firebender armour I should be wearing, armour made to Non-bender troops were on my body.

'Did something go wrong? I did click on becoming a bending prodigy as it said in the description. What's going on here!?'

....

"WHAT?!" I screamed out, enraged on how something like that could have happened. Tho not for long as..., "Arhg!" I got second wave of pain running through my head.

"His memories.... that has to be a fucking joke..." The memories revealed the truth about my past, dispelling any notion that it was a mere joke. At the tender age of seven, I was cast aside by my own family when they discovered my ability to manipulate the earth, a skill likely inherited from an ancestor, given that we resided in the colonial territories of the fire nation. Thankfully, the elderly couple from the neighboring village, Old Pao and his wife Mei Mei, generously offered me shelter. They provided me with a roof over my head, three meals a day, and even allowed me to assist Old Pao in his blacksmithing work. I spent my formative years honing my skills alongside him, while also aiding Mei Mei in various household tasks. In secret, I continued to practice my earthbending abilities.

Time passed, and the inevitable came; both Old Pao and Mei Mei succumbed to old age, leaving me once again all alone. The subsequent memory is of my recruitment into the military, an experience that swiftly exposed my earthbending capabilities. If it weren't for my characteristic amber eyes, a common trait for a Fire Nation citizens, I may very well have been executed on suspicions of espionage. Consequently, I found myself shunned and isolated by those around me.

The final memory takes place here, in the storage room that has become my makeshift sanctuary. Overwhelmed by the weight of a life seemingly filled with disdain, I found myself weeping, convinced that existence conspired against me. It was in that moment of despair that I made a fateful decision, one that now appears crystal clear.

"Ha...hahaha-HAHAHA! WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT!" I think I'm losing my mind. What is going on here? "System, tell me. What did you do?"

[I have sent you in the next best vessel there was. I'm sorry if I did something that angered you.]

'Man go fuck yourself' "Hah...., that's not something I thought would happened."

But hey: It is what it is.

[Two weeks later.]

[Earth kingdom wilderness, 50km south of Omashu]

"Flank them to the left! You, charge right in! Come on you pathetic excuse of soldiers, onwards. For the fire nation!"

Hearing our Captain bark out orders while being safely behind, having his live not at stake, I couldn't help but murmur "Fucking coward." The Captain was something you would see from a Wuxia Novel: A chubby pig 'Young Master' from a noble or high social ranking family. His exquisite armour, finely made of the best there is, couldn't hide his wobbly-fat ass. I'm not body-shaming him but come on. Even wasn't this fat in my past live. And then here he is, yapping an his komodo-Rhino, high and mighty.

"AND YOU DIRT MOVER, DON'T JUST STAND HERE! GO TO THE FRONT AND DIE FOR YOUR COUNTRY! THAT'S AN ORDER!" Our Captain, who's name I choose not to remember, ordered me to go to front while giving me my 'moniker'. Swalloing my anger, I quickly made my way to farm some exp. My hands gripping on my weapon I was given, I readied myself for combat. I already could see their expressions as I made my way waddling like a kid to the frontlines. The figure of a tall man wielding a also large weapon turned their expressions grimm. My monstrous height of 195cm (6ft3) against their 5ft4"-5ft5".

(uncommon)[Iron Katana]

The katana boasts a curved blade crafted from fine steel, renowned for its exceptional sharpness. Its sleek and elegant design, with a single-edged blade and a traditionally wrapped grip, allows for swift and precise movements. This formidable weapon, coveted for its balance and craftsmanship, represents both the artistry and lethal power of the samurai. Wielded by a skilled warrior, the katana becomes an extension of their spirit, enabling them to strike with deadly accuracy and leave a lasting impression on the battlefield.

A group of earth kingdom soldiers wielding spears tried to intercept me, to bad they weren't fast enough to stop me. Like a knife through Butter, I cleaved straight through them.

Killed{Earth kingdom recruit}, 5 exp!

Killed{Earth kingdom veteran soldier} 70 exp!

Killed{Earth kingdom Earth-bender} 35 exp!

35 exp,.... 56 exp,...75exp,....

The steady stream of exp masked the cries and pleas of the Earth kingdom soldiers as they saw they friends and comrads being cut in two. And the best thing is: I don't feel anything. No guilt, nothing. And why should I feel bad? They attacked us first, so we're actually in the right. And if they didn't want to end up as exp, then they should have run away a long time ago.

[Swordsmanship has reached level 5! New Ability unlocked: Swift Consecutive Strikes!]

Swift Consecutive Strikes: Allows you to send out a barrage of swift slashes at an opponent.

A useful skill I would say. I was about to go to my next victim when I heard the sound of something heavy hurling towards me. Said thing was a boulder the size of a car, casting a shadow on where I stood. I stepped to the left, it missing me entirely and even taking out some poor earth kingdom soldier behind me.

"Fight me you big oaf!" A voice shouted, it's anger directed towards me as the dust of the impact settled.

It seems the big guns revealed themselves.

This guy has better armour then the rest of those cannon fodder I've seen so far. A green lamellar plate and a plumed-helmet, both having sign of wear and tear. A sneer look on his said it all, he thinks he's better than me. 'Oh, big mistake you fucker.' The sound of fighting stopped, both sides looking at what could be said as a Fight of giants. Both men being over 6ft, dwarving everyone else. But the grimm looks on the side of the Fire Nation said something otherwise.

'The dirt mover?' 'Really?' 'We're fucked.' Were the thoughts of the fire nation soldiers.

"Very well. I accept!" I shouted back as I put all my sword back into it's sheath. What I will do needs some prepping time tho. "What is your name Warrior?" I asked him to identify himself.

"Hah, as if you need to know my name Ash maker. But I will give you my name. Remember it well if anyone asked-" he started off saying, trying to put more bravado into this interaction. While he's riding his own dick, I've been putting enough strenght for a finale attack that should kill him and a large part of the remaining enemy soldiers. "-And what is your name, Ash maker?" He finally stopped his monologue, going into an earth bending stance. "Po Hao." Quick and easy as things should be. The earth bender frowned at my easy going attitude.

We stood there, locked in a tense Mexican standoff, waiting for someone to make a move. Finally, the silence was disrupted when he hurled a rock the size of a football directly at my head. Reacting in the nick of time, I dodge it, narrowly avoiding a painful impact. Now it was my turn to retaliate, and I seized the moment. Firmly stomping my foot onto the ground, an enormous boulder resembling a colossal Van emerged before us.

Summoning all my strength, I delivered a powerful punch to the colossal boulder, shattering it into numerous chunks resembling baseballs and propelling them forward with incredible force.

In that intense moment, it felt as if time itself had frozen, both sides witnessing the fragments of stone hurtling through the air. It took a moment for them to comprehend the gravity of the situation, but by then, it was already too late.

"Agh-!" "Hel-" "ACK" screams of pain came as the stone chunks teared through flesh of the Earth kingdom soldiers, many of them dying on the spot.

56exp,... 43exp,... 86exp,... 44exp,... 88exp,... 55exp,... 68exp,... 25exp,... 69exp,... 74exp,... 109exp,... 53exp,... 42exp,... 96exp,...

Seeing the amount of exp, I couldn't help but fall into a laughing fit, scaring both earth kingdom and fire nation soldiers alike. 'There had to be at least a hundred dead or nearly dead from this attack.'

Turning to the rest of the horrorfied soldiers that look like a good amount of exp.

"Who's next?"

"W-wait! I surrender! Please don't kill me!" A chorus of soldiers said, dropping their weapons on the ground.

Seeing their opponents surrender and cowering on their knees, the rest of the 6th added their victorious shouts.

Ten Levels. That much carnage elevated me by heaps and bounds of what I imagined be. Listening to the victorious chants of my fellow fire nation soldiers on how Agni blessed us to even some praising me. This is what the Gaang feel after victory? Truly a good feeling of I may say so myself.

I attempted to fully immerse myself in the triumph of this outcome, but my reverie was abruptly interrupted by shouts originating from behind me. Curiosity piqued, I gravitated toward the commotion to investigate its cause. What I beheld upon arriving was nothing short of staggering: The boulder hurled in my direction had discovered an unintended mark. The unfortunate recipient of its devastating impact was none other than our esteemed Captain, now bereft of his entire head. Only a headless corpse remained in his stead.

[Later that day]

30 people. That was the amount of soldiers we lost. That is less if you can count on our experience. Even then, the mood in the Camp had been down since the the Captains demise.

The distant Honk from the Ostrich-horses we captured were the only audible sound around. 'Hah, what a drag. If we don't change our attitude then maybe our next battle will be our last.' Releasing a heavy sigh I made my way to the middle of our Camp where our bonfire is and created a stone pillar to oversee all of them.

"Listen to me all!" I shouted, gaining the attention of all soldiers of the 6th infrantry division. Around 700 pairs of eyes looked on me with expressions of worry and fear.

"Today, as we stand united on the precipice of greatness, I stand before you to ignite the flames of undying inspiration within the depths of our hearts. We are warriors of honor, inheritors of a noble legacy that stretches back through the annals of history. Our ancestors built this nation on the pillars of strength, resilience, and unwavering determination.

In this pivotal moment, I urge each and every one of you to remember your purpose, to embrace your potential, and to let the fire within you burn brighter than ever before. We have been called upon to protect our people, to safeguard our homeland, and to ensure that the future generations of the Fire Nation thrive under our watch.

Soldiers, we face challenges that test the very essence of our being. But let me remind you, it is through our struggles that we find our greatest strengths. It is through adversity that we forge our character and discover our true capabilities.

Remember the tales of our great leaders, the likes of Fire Lord Sozin and Fire Lord Ozai. They were visionaries, guiding our nation towards its destiny. Today, it is our duty to carry that torch, to illuminate the path ahead and to ensure the Fire Nation's triumph.

As soldiers, we hold the power to shape the world. In our hands lies the ability to inspire fear. Let our actions serve as beacons, illuminating the way for those who follow in our footsteps.

United we stand, shoulder to shoulder, a force that cannot be extinguished. Let us be relentless in the pursuit of excellence, unwavering in our loyalty to our nation, and compassionate in the face of adversity.

We are the guardians of this great nation, entrusted with the responsibility to preserve its traditions, honor its past, and envision its future. Today, I implore you to embrace your role as warriors of the Fire Nation and to unleash the full potential of your firebending abilities.

Soldiers of the Fire Nation, rise up! Ignite your spirits, channel your passion, and let the flames of your dedication burn with an unquenchable thirst for victory. Through our unity and unwavering determination, we will prevail, ensuring a future where the Fire Nation shines as a beacon of strength, prosperity, and harmony.

May the fires that burn within us guide our path to greatness. March forth, my comrades, and let the world witness the indomitable spirit of the Fire Nation!"

Upon finishing my speech, the roars of 700 soldiers washed over me. Seeing their brought back to live made me thank myself with that speech of mine.

[For igniting their inner Flames]
