After looking at my quest, I start walking to the west. After several minutes of walking. *plop* I heard a sound like some sort of liquid, then hid in the high grass. Then look at where the sound comes from.
And I see it, blueish, liquid but a solid form of it, and eating whatever it could find. It was a slime.
*plop. plop. plop*
There are five slimes, three of them eating the grass, while the other two jumping around. After seeing it I held my war hammer, then sneakily I walked toward the one slime that eating the grass.
*swoosh*
*splash*
The impact of my hammer killed the slime, after hearing such a noise the other slime noticed my existence.
*swoosh*
One of the slime with a high velocity coming toward me, then-
*splash*
I held the blunt side of the hammer toward the slime, and then the slime died. Then-
*swoosh*
*swoosh*
*swoosh*
All the slimes coming toward me, I held the blunt side toward one of the slimes while ducting my head. Then-
*splash*
*swoosh*
*swoosh*
I dodged the two slimes, while one slime died. Then without giving them a chance, *splash* I kill the other slime. The last surviving slime tried to attack me, because of fear that I would kill them. But-
*splash*
It was futile, for their action was nothing but a futile thing. After killing them, I took a black cube from the suitcase. Suddenly, *swoosh* it sucks something in the air.
"it sucks an 'Essence of Possibilities or 'EP'. It was an intangible thing so you couldn't see it."
"Oh, I see. Then may I a ask question?"
"yes, you may."
"Why do you tell me to kill a slime using a blunt weapon?"
"you see when you kill a slime, it will likely become fragments, and then each fragment becomes a new living being like Planaria. Those killing its whole being without giving them a chance to multiply themselves."
To put it simply, if you cut them apart they will likely multiply like the hydra from the myth. After taking all the 'EP' I check whether the slime is multiplied after checking, I then walk to the south where there are detected abnormalities.
While walking in the vast grassland, I sometimes see some signs of some sort of intelligent beings. There was a campfire before, and it looks like used yesterday. From that, I conclude that there seems some sort of caravan. I hope they are not bandits, if it is just goblin it will be easy to deal with but if it was bandits it will be on the hard side. And then-
"Shriek!!!"
I hear the sound of a horse, then choose to hide in the patch of high grass. And look at the source of the sound. Then-
"What's wrong with you horse, huh? Could you not control him."
"shut up!!! He was just scared."
"Blaming the horse huh... You truly couldn't handle huh... Hey, look there is an idiot in here who couldn't handle a horse!!!"
"Shut up brook!!!"
"Hahaha, what an idiot!!!"
"Shut up!!!"
I see a band of mercenaries talking with one another warmly, it was such a beautiful scene of a bond of mercenaries with one another. I could see they were protecting some merchant caravan. And then-

I could hear a notification from my status window, and open it up.

in a certain village life a happy family of Licht, he lived happily with his parent and his sister. his father works in the field in the morning, while his mother is taking care of his sister. while Licht works as a mercenary to protect his own village, thanks to his amazing eyesight he uses a bow and arrow to hunt an animal or monster in the wood near his village. every day his life was like that till one day, his childhood friend from the cities came back. she was his first crush, and the reason why he wanted to become a mercenary or hunter was so that he could protect her as he was promised during their childhood.
such beautiful flowery thinking was in his head, he hoped for her to answer his longing feeling. when he tries to come to her house, such hope will be broken on that day. the truth was, the reason why she came back to her home village was to ask for permission from her parents to marry a rich merchant in the cities. after hearing such a rumor, he tried to fasten his pace to confirm the truth, hoping it was a false rumor. but the truth was always cold when he came to the love of his life home. what he saw was a handsome young man more handsome than himself, his build was sturdy same as him, his hair was very tidy different from him, and his outfit looked like a prince from a distant land escorted by a knight wearing a golden.
After seeing such a sight the young man, tried his best to put on a smile, and then I tried to congratulate the happy couple on their marriage. but it still hurt for a dream that was created in childhood and always kept till right now, was shattered in a mere second it still hurt him. After congratulating the happy couple, he went back to home. he cried in his bedroom till morning. the pain of a man who never gave up thanks to a dream from his childhood, who having that same dream broken in mere second.
