Alexander stopped his walking and looked back to where Ariana was after hearing the question that was suddenly given to him. There's no one else there, so of course he doesn't need to feel confused but still, he can't speak yet and just silently watches her.
There, on the bed was Ariana with her glassy eyes looking at him. Because it was night and there was only dim light, Alexander couldn't see clearly if she was crying or if he was already far away from her. What was certain was that her daughter finally woke up, and opened her eyes.
Alexander can't help but feel relieved instantly seeing this but hope that she didn't see him let out a sigh of relief, but he didn't know that she knew him more than he thought.
"I will call your doctor."
"Father..." Ariana called so he wouldn't go and once again Alexander stopped on his track.
"Don't leave." Ariana decided not to be stubborn as soon as she opened her eyes and said this sincerely from her heart.
