After having dinner with my family, I explained how I had two martial arts in my head that were more suitable than the clans body forging method.
The table was silent as my parents exchanged glances with eachother.
"You must keep this a secret." My father said with a serious tone, trying to convey the importance of the matter.
There were many people who would covet such treasures even at the risk of offending one of the great families. If the matter were to spread, Baek Hong would be in grave danger. She'd have to live life with the threat of danger looming over her nonstop.
"I understand, father." I replied, meeting his gaze.
He smiled and nodded at me.
"Alright. Tomorrow I'll take you out to the city and show you around." He said before standing up. "Make sure you're ready by sunrise."
After saying that, father left without another word. Mother followed soon after.
They still looked slightly uneasy after hearing what I had to say.

I had reached the Qi Accumulation stage just before dinner and I still felt like working even harder.
After finishing my food I decided to go back and check out my other sutra.
I soon reached my room and sat down.
No sooner than I closed my eyes did I open them again. What I saw shocked me more than finding out I was in a trance for a month.
My two Perfected grade techniques were gone!
What I saw instead was a book that looked devoid of light, the more I looked at it the darker it seemed to get, I felt drawn to it for some reason. I quickly pulled myself together and looked away. The name on the cover of the book was
The Sutra infront of me was a transcendent grade technique, I had previously thought that Perfected grade was the best, but I was wrong. I was at a loss for words, I hadn't even practiced the
I was already cultivating fast with just a single Perfected grade technique, I wonder how fast I would be with a Transcendent?
I flipped through the book in only a few minutes. This time I made sure to memorize it. This technique was even easier to understand than the other two. It might be because my understanding has increased, that or the simplicity simply comes from the lack of convoluted ideas contained within, but it was a welcomed surprise.
This technique made it possible to accumulate qi passively, albeit not very fast, but still. All I have to do is breath to get stronger.
'If this isn't bliss, what is?'
Sitting in a lotus position would no doubt speed up the progress tremendously, but where's the fun in that?
I can do anything I want and not be stuck in one place. I was ecstatic at the new development.
But then it hit me.
I contemplated for a second.
'I'm still just a child. What would I even do in the meantime?'
After realizing how boring passive cultivation was I relented.
It's better to practice and earn your own strength instead of having it handed to you.
My mentality slightly changed, realizing it felt better to work for something to get it rather than it being served to you on a silver platter.
I was exhausted, I was thinking too much. Sometimes it was just better to take a second and relax.
I stood up and walked over to my bed to lay down.
'Tomorrow's going to be a long day.' I lamented.
The sky was parting with the night as it began to greet the day.
I woke up refreshed, excited to get out of the manor and see the city.
After getting ready, I headed to the door leading outside. I was currently in the main families residence of the Baek clan. The entire clan was the size of a city and had just a many residents too.
"Are you ready?"
I nodded my head, I couldn't wait to take in all the sites, eat delicious food, buy new clothes and maybe even meet new people.
Actually I kind of regret saying that last one... or maybe not.
We had left the clan and arrived in the city about an hour ago. My father introduced me to the city called 'White Immortal City', it was named after the founder of the Baek clan. This was one of the many cities owned by our clan.
This place was famous for its tourist attractions like the lake and mountain that border the city.
Honestly, it was kind of funny how bad the names of everything in the city was. You could guess the name of anything in the city just by putting 'White Immortal, in front of something. Like 'hey look it's the White Immortal auction house'.
Not long after father went to the 'White Immortal Pavillion' to get some food a young kid approached me.
"You must be new to the city right?" Without letting me answer he continued "Be honored that I, young master Ping, have given you the chance of three lifetimes to meet someone as renowned as myself."
After he finished talking he stuck his nose in the air feeling proud of his introduction. He was sure that the girl he had spoken to would say something along the lines of 'Young matter is so generous' or 'Marry me, young master'.
He had run many scenarios through his head over and over again, he was sure his plan was foolproof.
'Did this kid just call himself young master?'
"Did this kid just call himself young master?"
'Crap, my inner thoughts are leaking.'
"Crap, my inner thoughts are leaking"
Young master ping was dumbfounded, this little girl infront of him seemed to be making fun of his esteemed self. He could no longer tolerate this kind of behavior. He had to do something before he lost anymore face.
He reached out and tried to slap the little girl infront of him.
Alas, he soon came to realize he had offended the wrong person.
The person that stopped his hand was someone he had seen before. The person that even his father, the city lord, had to bow down to.
Unfortunately the world was not a forgiving place, if you end up offending the wrong people your life was as good as forfeit.
He didn't have to wait long before something happened. He felt a sharp overbearing energy enter his arm as things went dark
***
After I 'accidently' let my inner thoughts leak the young master infront of me seemed to be going through various emotions at a rapid speed. As soon as he stopped cycling his emotions and finally settled on anger, he raised his hand to smack me, of course he couldn't touch me even if he wanted to, but that wasn't the point. His hand had stopped before it reached my face.
His arm was being held by my father who had a murderous look in his eyes.
Only a second after he grabbed the young masters hand something 'unfortunate' happened.
The young master... had exploded.
Yes... exploded.
As soon as this happened I had stepped into the void to avoid the splash zone but it was ultimately unnecessary. My father had already formed an ethereal shield of qi around young master Ping. After the gruesome fireworks were over he had frozen the remaining blood and crushed it into a fine dust.
'Rest in peace young master, you may have only played a supporting role but you will be remembered'
*pfft*
I couldn't even keep a straight face, I had only been alone for a minute before a stray young master had approached me.
His death didn't bother me in the slightest either, I had long gotten used to it.
It wasn't a rare occurrence for my father to execute someone in the clan. There was no point in mulling over it either.
'Another day, another young master'
Such was the fate of the weak.
The murderous look had long disappeared from father's eyes as he handed me a skewer of meat.
The pork was juicy and had a nice flavor, it was delicious. I had eaten two more before having my fill.
As the day began to grow darker my first outing came to an end.
During dinner that night I had told mother about what happened and she started laughing. We all shared a laugh over dinner that night.

In my room after dinner I began to think.
'To be or not to be?'
I couldn't decide whether I wanted to act like a stereotypical young master like the one I ran into or not.
I decided against it in the end as it's too much work to keep up a haughty act all of the time.
That night I had slept like a log. I dreamt about playing a game where you collect different types of young masters and pit them against eachother.
