(Almost died…)
You know those family reunions where your father does something that really ticks you off. That was what this was.
Me and the girl were in the car talking. She told me her name was Siyala. Meaning fox. Crasher was driving the Nissan we 'borrowed.' (Don't worry we'll bring it back! Maybe)
"Hey Crasher…is that your full name?" Siyala asked him curiously. The black hair hanging down his neck was wet and slicked. His shoulders were slumped forward. His eyes droopy as he sighed. "No, my full name is Deadly Gore Crashkiller. Though the name is misplaced. So I go by Crash or Crasher instead." Straightening up he looked dead ahead. "We're almost there. Get ready Perun, you're the only one who can lead the way into the god's council temple." I looked at Siyala, "W-wait, what's that m-mean? You guys c-c-can't find it on your own?" Siyala groaned and gave me a hard stare. Then she said, "Only children of the Great Dragon Gods can find the great Dragontooth Temple. That means you right now," Siyala lightly tapped her finger on my shoulder as she said the last sentence. Pulling her hand away quickly she blushed and said, "Sorry… that's something we used to do in your last life." I looked at her, and tilted my head. "It's ok. What else did w-we do in my last life?" I asked curious. I didn't ever think about last lives or reincarnation before. That's why my beautiful readers, I wanted to know. She smiled, and looked away from me. Her cheeks were bright red, "Well, you used to love it when I did this." Siyala said, she started to draw in thin air. Fire followed her finger, my eyes followed entranced. "Woah ho ho!" I exclaimed. She smiled, chuckling a little. When she was done everything seemed to melt away as I sat in a forest on a log. Crickets chirped, rabbits and mice ran around my feet. The owls hooted, the smell of fresh grass and water filled my nostrils. I felt free. I felt calm. Suddenly someone grabbed my hand. It was Siyala sitting next to me looking at me with a soft smile. She looked and took a deep breath. Then suddenly it was gone. Siyala was still next to me, not holding my hand anymore. She was smiling softly and looking at me the same though. She looked away. Siyala stopped smiling and bit her lip. Her eyes welled with tears. I put my hand on her head. "W-what's wrong S-Siyala?" I asked, my eyes moving between her face and her hand. "Nothing is wrong, dork, at least not anymore.." she said, burrowing her head in my chest. This for some reason made me extremely happy. We sat there like that for about ten or so minutes. Of course after those minutes were over Crasher said, "We are here." I looked out, there were skinny mountains. They almost looked like teeth. The trees and shrubs covered the outskirts, this place was beautiful. It had almost a spiritual feel to it. "So… D-do we hike to the t-top or.." I said my question trailing off as Crasher and Siyala had already started getting out of the car. I sighed and grabbed my bag. My hair was really messy, I still had the same bed head I had earlier that morning. (It's not like I could fix it either, we didn't have anything that could do the job.) That and I hadn't showered in about a day. We followed a trail that led around the side of the mountain. The mountain was more of a mountain chain, but I'll still just call it a mountain. I sort of listened to Crasher and Siyala, they seemed to be talking about the distance from us to 'The Entrance.' Looking around I saw a bunch of trees lining the trail. Thing was they seemed different from regular trees. Like they could turn and look at me at any moment. I looked around. A woman just barely taller than Siyala was following us. "Hey I'm going to trail off to the side, but I'll be right behind you." I whispered in Siyala's ear, my voice calm. Siyala's face was shocked, but after a minute it grew serious. Giving Crasher a side glance she nodded. "Be quick Perun," she replied quietly. I stopped and looked around. Walking into the forest the trees gave off a stronger aura than expected. I looked at the silvery lightning bolt scar on my wrist. Sometimes it tends to glow, and the doctors have been trying to find why for years. They've even cut it open from time to time to see if there's anything new under the skin, but never find anything. A twig snapped behind me. Whirling around, it was the woman from earlier. Although she was about a mile behind me. "How did I hear her from that far away?" I thought, clenching my jaw. The woman approached at a slow pace. When the woman was about a foot away when she stopped, "I heard you would have keen senses. Although, I didn't know they were that good,". She said, almost taunting me. I blinked and didn't speak. "Who is she, and why does everyone seem to know me?" I thought, I stared at her patiently. She spoke quietly, "I thought he was supposed to be super talkative." "Who are you, and what do you want?" I said glaring. The woman smiled and said, "that's not important!" Her voice was slightly rising in aggression. Two knives appeared in her hands. Her eyes turned yellow. Her skin started to darken, almost like it was decaying. The woman lunged forward at me. I felt that tingle I felt earlier on my back. I looked behind me and there sat 2 golden almost batlooking wings. Looking forward, the girl was now inches from slashing my throat. Then I felt the weirdest instincts kick in and my wings snapped forward propelling me backwards. While in the air, then the weirdest words had come out of my mouth. "Ishtunicoran complationary desuctionaya!" I had just yelled. About ten lightning bolts came down hitting the woman turning her to dust. This seemed to effectively kill her. Wait, no she turned to dust. She was a monster. From the trees I heard Siyala say, "she really sent the assassin ghoul Nyxia, it never works." Then Crasher responded, "The witch wants to test him. That's why she sends the ghoul, it's a test of power." Whipping around, I glare at where the voices were coming from, "YOU KNOW I CAN HEAR YOU RIGHT?!" I called out to them. Crasher jumped down from the tree in front of me. He was in his gorilla looking form, but Siyala jumped down from behind me. Her bow had been drawn and an arrow was set on fire, her bow also was made of fire. "If you had your bow ready, why didn't you shoot it?" I asked, she shrugged. "I knew that I didn't need to, after all you almost hit me too." I looked at her and I started talking calmly but got more confused the longer I spoke. "Also, why do I have WINGS AND LIGHTNING SPELLS?!?!" Siyala giggled, "I remember this conversation, you are the son of a god Perun." Shocked, I stepped back shaking my head, "Nope, no I am not." I wasn't going to accept that my father was a god, until I saw him. If he was a god then why didn't he get me out of the foster system. Claim me as his child, save me from the awful people who only wanted me to do their dirty work. "If he's a god, then I'm a priest, and guess what I'm no priest. So he's no god." I said, but saying this I didn't hear the thunder roll and a literal dragon man walk up behind me. "Well, since I'm a god, you better start praying, priest." Whirling around, I saw this being for the first, and certainly not the last time. For this was the god who was trapped in a temple for jealousy and fear of his power.
