(What am I looking at, a small King Kong?)
I've been passed around over the past 20 years, but the doctors keep telling me I'm not an adult. So I have to get new foster parents almost every year. My name you ask? Perun Sky, a not normal person with a semi normal life. Now, it's time for you to sit down, get comfortable and enjoy my story.
It was my 21st birthday, my foster family hated me. I woke up my foster mother banging on my door. "Get out of bed you stupid little Sky boy!" She yelled, "I-I'm up." I said loud enough for her to hear. Getting up and I started putting on some extremely ripped jeans. They were the only pants that would fit me. Problem was because I was 6 foot 4, pulling them on was a challenge because they were so tight all around. The neon blue shirt I put on already barely fit me. I opened the door, and my foster father was standing there. "Well?!" He said in a snarl, "What?" I snarled back. My foster father reminded me of a pear, (this sounds mean, but it was the only way to describe him.) My foster father punched me in the jaw and said, "You dare speak to me that way boy, I'm the reason you're not on the street!!" "I'm only not on the st-street because you signed a contract with my real p-p-parents." I said growling in a deep tone. Pushing past him I walked down the brick hallway, the wooden floors creaking underneath my broken shoe. The front was almost ripped off so my toes were touching the wood. I had gotten used to this treatment, all my foster parents had to sign a contract stating they would take care of me. (Even if it was the bare minimum.) I looked around the living room, there stood what looked like 35 year old men in suits. The couches sat behind them, the carpet was old and worn. The recliner chairs on the other hand were brand new. The men had black skin, and hair everywhere. Their facial expressions looked like they were ready to kill somebody. "Are you Perun Sky." I have had a stutter since I was little. So what came out of my mouth sounded more like a broken voice recording. "I-I guess it de-depends on who is ask-asking." I swallowed hard, I felt like an idiot. I hated stuttering. The man on the right smiled a crooked smile, "I'm Freddy this is… Crasher." Honestly I wasn't paying any attention to what he was saying. His front teeth were so big they looked like they connected. My foster parents came in with the act they always put up around other adults. "Perun dear, who is it?" My foster mom said, "Just a bunch of weird looking guys in s-suits." I looked at them suspiciously while I talked. The left one started to grin too. "Ma'am, sir," he said, addressing my foster parents. "You two have won a very relaxing resort trip to Nihi Sumba Island… The Indonesian one." My foster parents looked at each other. "Vacation?" My foster father said, "Vacation." My foster mother agreed. Then they looked at me. "Is he coming?" My foster mother asked, "No…" Said the suit guy on the left. The right one finished his sentence. "He's staying here, we need to talk.. business." The man on the left punched the guy on the right. "I was supposed to say that." I looked at my foster parents. "You're not really g-gonna leave me here with th-these random people are y-you?" I asked them. They were already turning around before I asked. As soon as they heard me though they immediately turned towards me and laughed in my face. "Are you kidding me, we had enough trouble with you as it was. Of course we are gonna leave you here. Honestly I don't know why they would want you for business." My foster mother said, jabbing the front of my shoulder with her finger. She continued "I wouldn't be surprised if they threw you out onto the streets after your first day." Rage flew through my veins. I could feel the heat boiling on my hands. I balled my hands into fists. "Then get out…" I said, looking them dead in the eyes. "What?" My "father" said to me, "I SAID GET OUT!!!" My arm swung in a wide upward ark. A blue light followed. Thunder sounded, wind blew. My "mother" went through the door into the kitchen smacking into the counter and a crack was heard from her neck, maybe. My "father" flew into the table causing it to almost explode into splinters. He groaned as he tried to get up. Pushing pieces of wood off of him. Although when he saw me he said, "Boy you dare try that with us. We practically raised you." I laughed maniacally, "Raised me? You? Ha, you never did anything for me. You barely bought me clothes, you fed me the scraps, and you want to say YOU RAISED ME!!!" My voice carried throughout the house. "YOU DIDN'T EVEN TRY!!" I continued. My foster father cowered in fear. He was holding his hands over his head. The rage suddenly left me. "Have fun on your stupid vacation," I said, walking away towards the door. Outside were tall buildings with spirals at the top, the spirals went up to a point at the top of the towers. The men in the suits followed quickly behind me. "Hey kid, wait up." The guy that was on the right, said. I turned into a two way alley, just in case I ended up having to run from them. Whipping around, I glared at the two men. "How did you find me, and why are you here?" I asked, my top lip twitching. The two men looked stunned. Once they realized why I turned around they smiled almost happily. The one that was on the left, which was now on right, spoke. "We are here to talk business…" I cut him off. "What kind of business?" I asked curiosity filling me, this was the first time I actually paid attention to what they said. This time the one that was on the right that is now on the left spoke. "That we will discuss, later.." Registering what was happening I panicked, the people before me started growing rapidly. Their sleek hands growing hairy and larger by the second. If you imagine the movie where, I think it was hulk… anyways if you imagine that guy transforming into big green, you'll get this, but way hairier. Their teeth grew sharper less human, they looked more knife-like by the second. Their feet expanded so much their shoes exploded. The dress shirts and pants ripped til all that was left was a big gorilla looking monstrosity. Also, I was right before, their front teeth were connected, now it was one big fang in the front. "Wh-wh-what are you?" I asked, backing down the other end of the alley. "We will ask you the questions!" The gorilla creature screeched at me. Banging his fists on his chest. My eyes widened. I knew I was in trouble, but didn't exactly know how to handle the situation. Turning I started running down the alley as fast as I could. Of course the big creatures moved faster than me. Out of the corner of my eye I saw one of them jump off the wall and land in front me. Landing on all fours, he slid back. At least until it cracked the ground with its bare hands to get a grip. I skidded to a stop. "Umm, y-you wouldn't mind m-moving would you, I kind of w-want to get by. No, okay th-then" The creature in front of me snorted a laugh. "You hear that Freddy, the kid just asked me to move!" They both burst out laughing. Freddy.. What kind of monster name is that? I turned around, "Your name is Freddy?" I asked, "Your name is Freddy?" He said mocking me in his growl-like voice. "Are you stupid or something? I told you our names when we were in your living room." I blinked a few times. Freddy punched a hole in the wall beside him. An elderly woman poked her head through the window beside me. "What's with the all the racket back here, my husband is trying to sleep!" Freddy looked at her, "we're truly sorry ma'am, we were just teaching this kid a game we like to play" he said in a fake empathetic tone. "Yeah, yeah." She said, pulling her head back through the window. She then slammed it shut. I blinked a few times. "Alright kid, enough games. Where do we sign up for the army against the gods?" Said the gorilla thing in front of me. "The what?" I asked, unsure of what they were talking about. "You know what we're talking about right?" Said Freddy behind me, "Hey, Freddy we mixed them up, it's the other kid we were supposed to talk to. He's the one we're supposed to kill." He said, scratching the back of his big head. All you people thinking, "it's because he has a big brain." It's not so don't even. I sat there in shock. "What do you mean, Crasher? You mixed them up, I followed you." Said Freddy. Crasher groaned, "Let's just kill the kid and move on," he said, inching towards. "Listen kid, we gotta kill you so don't use any crazy powers like you did earlier." Said Crasher, starting to move a little quicker. "What?" I said, confused. What I really didn't know was that there was a girl right above me with a bow, an arrow was flying past my ear. I blinked, I heard a roar behind me then a crash. Crasher stopped in his tracks. His eyes were wide with terror, his voice failing him. "Y-y-you…" the terror wasn't fear of the girl. I looked behind me. There was Freddy lying right behind, an arrow protruding from his mouth. The girl was standing above him retrieving the arrow. Freddy's feet caught fire, I jumped back. My back suddenly had a weird feeling on it, I didn't look though. The fire on Freddy's body slowly rose up his waist to his abdomen and lower back. Ashes took the place of his body. I looked at the girl then at Crasher. "Y-you k-killed him," I said to the girl. "Perun, come on you know this. He isn't dead, he just needs to be reborn in the underworlds. Remember they collect due to the hate in the world." She said in a firm voice. She walked closer. "H-how do you p-people kn-know my name. I don't know you people!!" I said, my stressful morning finally getting to me. She looked taken aback for a second, looking behind her. Crasher had inched his way towards the ashes of Freddy. Picking up some he sighed, and stood up. I looked at the girl, eyebrows raised. The girl sighed, "I guess you really did die." She walked over to the gorilla. "Do you wish to join him?" The gorilla shook his head and spoke. "He wanted to fight the gods, I just found the information. I wanted him to not endure the wrath of the gods. I desperately wanted him to stop, he was my brother." The monster started returning to his human form. Crasher continued, "To be honest, you did him a service I couldn't do myself." He got on his hands and knees and leaned forward. "Please, let me join you on your quest to fight evil!" I looked at the girl and almost fell over laughing. She was so surprised by this her face couldn't even look shocked. I had stopped laughing. She looked at me, and blushed. She seemed to be remembering something. Realizing I was staring, I looked away. "Well.. a-anyways, I got to g-go before my foster p-parents get even angrier that I'm not p-p-packing.." I said, realizing how late it had become. "Perun.." the girl started grabbing my arm. "Kid, you can't go back to that. They were mean and nasty to you. Specifically because you are a very powerful interbreed who has stopped many dangerous monsters." He stopped, looking back at the girl then continued. "At least in your last life." He stopped talking after that. Perun shook his head, "I'm a powerful what now? Wait, did you just say monster?" I said, shaking my head. I spoke in a calm tone, at least what I hoped was a calm tone. "Listen, I don't know what drug you put in the air or how you got into my house, but tomorrow morning I'll wake up and this will all be a dream. You're all just a figment of my imagination." Breathing out and closing my eyes the girl started to laugh. "Oh my god.." she said in between laughing fits, finally containing herself she stood straight and tapped my shoulder. Honestly, I actually don't know what she's doing but I know she was tapping my shoulder. Ok? Ok great. I opened one of my eyes to see the girl really close tilting her head at me. She seemed to be studying me. I didn't know why or what she was looking for, but she didn't seem to find it. Turning around she grabbed my hand and tried to make me follow her. "Come on!! We need to get you to your father so he can knock some sense into you." She said, the girl seemed to be talking in a playful tone. I rolled my eyes and followed frowning, a new feeling falling over me. Although still suspicious of this situation.
