[A few minutes before the lightning strike.]
"Geahhhhk!" on the ground, Subaru was writhing in agony as he received blow after blow.
"GEHHEK!!" His screams filled the air and echoed off of the surroundings, a shrill sound that trembled with intense pain. Blood streamed from his face,
"PlaesGWHAK" he tried to beg him to stop but it was futil as the striker never stoped his relentless beating.
"GEEHHHK!!" He was unable to move away or escape—as if his limbs was bound tight by an invisible chains no matter which direction he attempted to roll in order to find relief from this senseless onslaught of violence.
――Why does this happen to me? Why am I always subjected to violence by people stronger than me?, he thought as he again was Pushed into corner, beaten up by greater forces of might, he wondered why he have to suffer these injustices.
――Was I brought into this world just to be tortured and killed all the time? Why am I the only one exposed to this? Does the world hate me this much?, he thought as if the world want him to accept that he was nothing but a punchingbeg, As if he was forced to accept that even in this world equality and fairness, means nothing in the face of real power.
"You are weak and unable to do anything, how it occurred to you to call yourself a knight?, you are unworthy ... " But it was even worse when Julius spoke such hurtful words, slashing though him with sharp and precise barbs that stabbed directly into his heart, piercing deeply and cutting Subaru's spirit to shreds. The injustice of it all echoed in Subaru's ears as if an invisible voice kept shouting out Julius' cruel taunts.raining down upon him from above. You are weak,You are weak, You are weak, You are weak, You are weak, You are weak, You are weak. You are unworthy. yet also resonating deep within him, searing his innermost being with a pain far worse than any physical blow could ever cause.
――What a fucking joke this world is, he thought as if life itself was modeled after a ruthless game where strength trumps kindness and understanding.
――what should I do to stop this?, he thought, as attempts of resistance seem futile in the face of such overwhelming violence, he stoped searching for a way out as he found solace in his despair as his own heart cry out with all it's might: Why me?.
So with that thought the turture continued as Julius drew back his wooden sword and swung it viciously.
"GEHAHAK" Subaru again screamed as every strike rained down on him, driving deep into his skin. He felt himself give way with each blow, the wet droplets of blood running from his body in a mix with sweat and humiliation.
"Kill him! Kill him!" People shouted in unison, their cries reverberating throughout the arena. Surrounding Julius and Subaru were a cacophony of voices They wanted violence -- boiling, unfettered violence -- to be unleashed upon Subaru at Julius' hands.
――this is so cruel hk! He thought, as all Subaru could feel was shame at how he had ended up here: helplessly pinned to the ground by a wooden sword wielded by an opponent that seemed almost invulnerable and indomitable in power.
――Save me, mother, father, anyone, please, save me..., Holding back tears of pain and Longing, Subaru clenched his teeth together as if it were all he had left - wishing desperately to be saved, and for this to end.
"Kill him! Kill him! Kill him! Kill him! Kill him! Kill him! Kill him! Kill him! Kill him! Kill him! Kill him! Kill him! Kill him! Kill him!" The crowd swelled further with each passing second as they chanted for death and destruction, their faces contorted in rage against any form of mercy that may come forth on Subaru.
"Kill him! Kill him! Kill him! Kill him! Kill him! Kill him! Kill him! Kill him! Kill him! Kill him! Kill him! Kill him! Kill him! Kill him!" collapsed on the ground in despair as their shouts intensified like a dark cloud rolling in over an unsettled sea. His gaze fell on each face around him without hope or respite; they were all baying for his execution now, no mercy left within them- only barbaric rage that seemed to consume their whole being until there was nothing but hatred.
"COME ON JULIUS YOU GREATEST OF KNIGHTS, FINISH HIM AVENGE THE KNIGHT'S HONOR!!." And some of the crowd roared their approval for Julius strength and actions, they screamed wildly - piercing cries of outrage at, demanding retribution for the heinous crime Subaru did: or so they thought it was.
――I can feel it...am finally gonna die ... again, Despite that thought, that and all his physical pain, Subaru could only listen with fear as he waited in anticipation for what was certain to come next from Julius, until.
"NO, PLEASE STOP. SOMEONE STOP HIM, PLEASE!!"
Subaru had begun to close his eyes, or rather his one eye, since he had already lost his left eye, in preparation for the blow that would end his current life. But then came a screaming voice – one known all too well to him. It was a cry of shock and terror, laced with sadness and broken-heartedness, an agonized wail filled the air like wild music from some distant land. In response to this sound, Subaru's single eye opened wide as lightning bolts split through the sky above him - it was then that he knew who it could be, whose voice—whose soulful scream—had saved him once in from the Bandits in the alley and once in the mansion from the wrath and despair he felt towards the twin maid demons, and so.
"...E-emi.l..ia ta...n" He had lost all his teeth, but a shaky smile of happiness and also sorrow played on the corners of his lips happiness beacuse he atleast can see Emilia before he die, sorrow because he hated to see her sad. His voice was low and broken, like a whisper carried in the wind but it was overshadowed by the people screams.
Even if her voice was the only thing that could save him, Subaru knew it wouldn't make a difference now. He no longer had faith in such wishful thinking; instead, he derived some measure of comfort from the knowledge that he would not be kept in suspense any longer. This realisation filled him with a strange kind of security as his body even if wounded without repair, nonetheless he felt relaxed for the first time in what felt like an eternity. In this moment, Subaru finally understood something: That he had been weak all along and would remain weak throughout all his miserable life, and that his life was worthless from the very beginning, that his life could be replaced easily. This is what the world had tried to tell him from the beginning, but now he had understood... and so he did not deserve people empathy or to cry over his useless self... especially if it's Emilia. And so
――Please don't cry Emilia...you deserve all the happiness in the world...unlike my pathetic self, he thought as His eyes were welling with tears, the one eye that remained a gory mess. The torrent of red was pouring out from what used to be an unblemished and sharp full of hope organ dripping down his face and onto the ground beneath him, splattering in bright blobs against any surface is touched. In a state of grief and sadness, he wept silently awaiting the killing blow from Julius.
BOOOOOOOOM!!
Instead of feeling the solid thud of a wooden blade against his head, Subaru was met with an earsplitting crack and a sudden wave of warmth that washed over his entire body like a caress. The sensation was indescribable, and for several moments he remained blissfully unaware as to what had just happened; subconsciously knowing that it wasn't the sword blow he expected, but too mesmerized by this unknown feeling to open his eyes or peek out from beneath tightly closed eyelids.
But he became curious, and so...
"WHAAO!!?"
Curious to discover the warm feeling that was overwhelming him, Subaru carefully opened his eyes. He expected to find himself in a bed with Emilia besid him or surrounded by healers, but instead he found himself being pulled towards the sky and through outer space with an invisible rope squeezed around his waist. The distant stars and galaxies flew past him like a mirage, streaming together into an enveloping yellow light as he moved faster than anyone could comprehend -- across time and distance itself. His breath stilled as all he could think about was one thought:――Was this death?.
"No, you're not dead".
Suddenly, Subaru heard a strong, deep male voice that seemed to resonate from the very core of his being. He was taken aback; he hadn't expected anyone else in this dark-bright and isolated place of the space.
"WAHO!!"
Subaru tried to adjust his glance so he could make out who spoke around him but it was too late - by then the light had become too overwhelming for him and blinded him by its sharp brilliance forcing Subaru to close his eyes tightly as if covering them would protect them from further harm.
"You can open your eyes now, you are
safe"
Suddenly, that voice came again, gently imploring Subaru to open his eyes. At first he was reticent to do so, but the mystery of who spoke so kindly and familiarly beckoned him irresistibly - stirring within him a spark of curiosity. He languidly pried apart his heavy eyelids revealing the blurry vision before him; as if bleary-eyed from sleep or dreaming. Then slowly, one fleeting moment after another passed by until at last his gaze sharpened into crystal clarity once more.
"wow t-this is u-unbliveble" It was beyond belief – a moment of pure astonishment" this ia amazing"
Indeed, Subaru was so amazed and astonished that he found himself standing on a giant rock, and this rock is not ordinary. He felt his knees weaken as his mouth opened wide in awe at the sight of countless stars twinkling eagerly across an infinity black sky. Clusters of galaxies hovered majestically around him, comets streaked through vast chasms with their trails tracing breathtaking patterns before fading away into oblivion, suns glistened in serene beauty while meteors whizzed past like they were little flecks of specks illuminated by mysterious forces from beyond the known realms. What majestic splendor!
"―― this is Beautiful"
He was transfixed by the sight, unable to tear his gaze away from the celestial wonders. He felt a profound sense of connection with this infinite expanse as if it was his rightful home. Every inch of space seemed to be brimming with knowledge and secrets beyond comprehension that he longed to unlock.
The air around him felt as thin and light as gossamer silk, yet by some unknown force drew breath into his lungs that tasted sweet like honey.
And For a brief eternity he forgot everything else—his name, the time or place from whence he came and the problems he faced before he came here—as if adrift on an invisible sea atop one of those very same celestial bodies whose presence sparked joy within him at every glance. Only then did it occur to him just how improbable all this was.
"I know, right?, I also never get tired of this beautiful view"
"WHAO!!" Subaru jumped from his place in sheer terror as the voice spoke again – this time so close that it seemed to be only inches away.
"Hey there man " The Black-haired mysterious person smiled at Subaru, offering his gloved hand in a friendly gesture. His red suit clung tightly to his two-meter-long muscular frame, and a white cape hanging over his shoulder fluttering behind him gracefully. He wore what seemed to be boots with gold stripes running along the sides and white gloves that shone like stars in the light. But more remarkable than all of this was the shape of a lightning bolt emblazoned on his chest which sparkled with small sparks of electricity as if it had been struck by lightning itself.
"Who are you ... and ... where iam exactly ?" Subaru had learned the hard way that it was wise to remain guarded and wary of unfamiliar faces. He had been all too eager in the past to trust, letting down his guard only for things never to turn out as intended.
As a result, he now took caution in every encounter with someone new; his lips fixed firmly shut with distrust until proven otherwise. If anything could be taken away from what he'd experienced before then it would be this: not to act too friendly with anyone you see or don't know well enough yet.
-the silence between them had become too thick.
So as if he had read Subaru's thoughts, his arm dropped to his side and he stepped back with a kind smile. He clasped one hand over the other on his chest, as if bowing without speaking - an unmistakable gesture of respect and warmth - before introducing himself.
"My name is William Joseph Batson my friends calls me shazam but i prefer captain marvel ... and this is the The Rock of Eternity" He said proudly, motioning grandly with his hands.
Subaru just tilted his head in confusion.
"And what... is that exactly Mr Shazam-san right ?" He asked with confusion in his voice, as His brow furrowed and eyes widened slightly with uncertainty.
Shazam only smiled knowingly as he know how Subaru felt at this moment.
"Well, The Rock of Eternity sat on a pinnacle in the realm between realms, a beacon for those wishing to call upon the power within. It was an unassuming structure–a single boulder somehow suspended in time and eons away from common folk. And iam captain Marvel the ancient keeper of this Rock"
A few seconds from silence passed between them staring at each other one with a smile and the other with confusion.
"――I don't understand "Subaru looked at him as though he were speaking a foreign language, and shook his head in confusion. So shazsm sighed deeply and tried to explain the situation again but simply this time.
"Its basically a nexus of power in nearby realm of existence from yours, that channels power to anyone utilizing the power of the wizard Shazam. It is a way station of power. As Iam the Guardian of the Rock of Eternity, as iam now one with the Rock as it is apart of me,"
Subaru concentrated, straining to understand what the person in front of him was saying. He felt a slight tingle at the back of his neck.
"I see"
and soon found himself nodding his head as he began to comprehend his words. A small smile crept onto his face as he saw that this wasn't a hostile conversation after all - but still, Subaru remained cautious; who knew how these things could turn out?
"I finally began to understand, simply put, we exist in a place called the Rock of Eternity in the universe, and apparently you are the guardian of this place... Well, although this is unreasonable, but who am I to talk about the unreasonable?"
But Subaru then frowned as if he was thinking about something.
"But ... what I don't understand is why I'm here ?... ".
Shazam took a few strides towards Subaru, approaching cautiously with an unwavering gaze. He paused directly in front of him and reached out his hand to rest it gently on Subaru's shoulder. The touch was light, but firm enough to convey both assurance and comfort - a sign that he meant no harm, only protection beneath his watchful eye.
"Don't worry, as I told you before, no one will harm you or reach you as long as I am here."
Shazam kept his hand on Subaru's shoulder for a few more moments, not wanting to rush the process of making him feel comfortable. He could feel the muscles in Subaru's back and shoulders slowly release their tension under his touch as he offered him words of reassurance.
"Good"
Finally satisfied that Subaru was no longer tense, Shazam gently let go of his shoulder and nodded at him with satisfaction before stepping away from him.
"Anyway, I brought you here because I need you. The fate of the universe rests on your shoulders."
Subaru blinked, his mind struggling to make sense of the baffling words. He felt like he had awoken in a strange place not knowing where he was or why; wish is really what happend. But then, after a moment, it clicked: Was this person actually telling him - that the fate of the universe rested on his shoulders?.
The expression of disbelief was evident on his face; eyebrows raised, jaw dropped, and mouth agape. He couldn't believe what he had just heard. His voice betrayed his shock as he uttered the incredulous words "You're kidding me right? This is all a joke?".
-shazam only smiled wrily at his response.
"I know that all of this is unbelievable, but if you listen to me until the end, then you are the wiser okay?".
Subaru only inclined his head, resignation in the tightness at his jaw as he conceded to listen. Shazam smiled gratefully while inwardly steeling himself for what would surely be a hard story – to believe, let alone accept what might sound completely unbelievable. No matter; he'd start.
"Well it all started when...: Kryptonians are born with a genetic bond to Krypton itself, which prevents them from leaving their planet. However It all started with a simple discovery – the removal of the ancient genetic bond that had bound Kryptonians to their planet, freeing them from its bounds and granting them the ability to traverse universes. It was in this way they became aware of their own strength and standing in the cosmos; as one of its most powerful species, they saw fit only to conquer what lay beyond. With no known weakness save for kryptonite to hinder them, so they sought out a malicious means by which these interplanetary travels could be made permanent - thus it was decided that Krypton should become no more than ashes swallowed by a blue Sun. And so that out of the way, The relentless army's of Kryptonians surged forth with unstoppable momentum, a sea of conquest and domination. They descended upon defenceless and defended planet's alike an endless wave of death and destruction, and so they kept advancing until they was upon the justice league galaxy, like a storming tide, an unstoppable force that swept across the heavens, crushing all in its wake. But Great and powerful heroes from distant galaxies joined forces with the justice league alongside superman the justice league strongest hero to battle against them. But despite their valiant efforts they could not stem the onslaught as those who despoiled their planets seemed invulnerable in their mighty Power. But despit that the justice league and other heroes even villains, still stand steadfast with the intent that they wont let them ever rule supreme over any star system known throughout eternity! But the heroes defence wont last long against them; if we dont have the right weapon to kill them that is.
"And that's summarize everything ... what do you think?"
Subaru's thoughts spun in a maelstrom of impossible possibilities. Alien invasions?, world's destruction?, and supreme rule seemed like madness to him yet he could not deny the stars and galaxies that stretched around him as far as his eyes could see; nor could he ignore the seriousness that had overtaken Shazam's gaze. He stood upon a comet with no hope of escape or return but also no doubt about the truth of what was being said - if anything was broadcasting such power then it must lend credence to Shazam's words. Taking a deep breath, Subaru looked into Shazam's, eyes.
"If what you said is true, then... You still haven't told me, exactly, what my role in all of this is, or better yet, if you, the heroes of the universe, couldn't even stop the invasion. What would I be able to do, I..." Weak, pathetic, and worthless like me anyway?, he left the last part unsaid.
If Shazam noticed, he probably ignored it.
"well, To tell you the truth, when I told you they destroyed every trace of any Kryptonite...well it turns out not all of it was destroyed."
"What do you mean by that ?" Subaru tilted his head in confusion.
"With the help of Dr. Fate, a year ago we were able to discover that a world was hidden behind the middle of a huge celestial nebula, a single planet revolving around a sun similar to Earth's sun, except that it was completely hidden behind this nebula, and in this planet we discovered the presence of a sign of Kryptonite, which is the only mineral that we can use to eliminate The kryptonians forever ... however ".
Here his smile turned into a frown, which gave Subaru a bad feeling.
"Even though we discovered the presence of a large amount of Kryptonite, it is impossible for us to go and get it... because if one of the heroes decides to go to that planet and get it, the Kryptonians will definitely know, which will lead them to go there, and the matter will not end well for that planet when they find out."
"Plus, we desperately need every hero with us to defend the universe... We can't risk sending one of our strongest too far from the front line... So, that's why we need you."
"This is――".Every word Shazam spoke made Subaru feel more muddled and introspective. He felt that despite his lack of contextual understanding, there was something in the other man's words which reassured him of their credibility. Yet, at the same time, he had no clear idea how to tackle such a task on his own - it filled him with an almost desperate pressure and a desire to shrink away into himself and curl up in some far-off corner where he wouldn't be accountable for anything else anymore.
"How?" A ludicrous, impossible thought. No way to know how one boy could stand against the odds of saving the universe from ruin."How?, I don't understand how can i get you what you want? How can a weak person like me be chosen to save the world, while I couldn't even save," my pride from being trampled on in front of so many people?, he left the last part unsaid so he atleast doesn't want to sound peththic in front of shazam.
"There are many people in that world who can do that job and more... so why was I chosen exactly... why?" The truthfulness of that answer seemed so far away yet within reach at once.
――What virtues possessed by no other must my pathetic-self possess? What secrets did they know about me, what experiences had made them choose me, ME! iam the most pathetic being in all over the universe, out of all the possible candidates who can do better?
"Just why?... please tell me why ?."
Subaru had believed with utter naivety that he had been chosen to some great purpose when he first been transported to that cruel world. But after the terrifying obstacles he faced, ... and also relentless humiliation and a near-death beating from Julius, his confidence was shattered; no longer did it seem possible that his humble and pathetic self could have been called to such greatness.
But Despite ruling out all heroic aspirations for himself, a small spark of hope still glowed within him – one which only Shazam could quench or ignite.
"S-so TELL ME WHY WAS I CHOSEN?, p-please I i need t-to know-hk!" subaru felt overwhelmed with despair and could not help but let his emotions take over. His eyes filled with tears as he fell to his knees, but he still kept Shazam locked in a gaze that demanded an answer.
"I see"
Shazam said, After a long silence on his part, he smiled warmly. His eyes were serious as he took in every word Subaru said, attentively listening to the words that fell from his mouth.
Despite the casual expression on his face, it was clear that his attention had not wavered and he was taking in all of what Subaru said with a seriousness and intensity that could only be described as devoted listening.
"You want to know why you were chosen, don't you? You want to know why you were chosen out of all the capable people in your world, don't you?"
Subaru nodded, his chin trembling. Tears pooled in the corners of his eyes, shazam smiled.
"I did not choose you, but the Rock of Eternity did... The Rock of Eternity only chooses people with a pure heart to give them great power... And believe me, it was difficult to find a person with a pure heart in that world, but suddenly you appeared out of nowhere, and at that the Rock of Eternity decided that you are the only person who deserves to be...the next successor of Teth-Adam powers"
Shazam strode forward, a hopeful smile on his face. He stopped just within arm's reach of Subaru and held out an open hand.
"So believe me when I say that you are the only one who can help us save the universe...so please hold my hand and rise up, the fate of the world and everything you hold dear, now rests on your shoulders."
"I..i――hk-" His eyes burned into subaru's as his words reverberated through his very being. He felt the weight of responsibility settle upon him with every syllable uttered, and he realized that this was no mere request for assistance. This was a plea, an invocation - a call to put aside all fears and doubts in favor of courage and hope for what any future may hold; he implored him to take his hand so that together they could attempt to salvage the universe from destruction. fate hung on hus shoulders like the billions of stars above them, now resting its burden solely upon him as if only he had the strength or fortitude enough to see it through.
――My refusal of his offer could mean the destruction of the universe and all worlds... and even my mom and dad could die, The mere thought of his parents potential death brought a chill to his soul.
" I understand Shazam-san I accept"
So, with a determination that cannot be put into words, he took his outstretched hand on his and stood up wiping his tears.
"You really made the right choice thank you"
Despit how said it Shazam felt an inner swell of joy and optimism - a newfound hope that they finally will have a chance against an army of Kryptonians after Subaru had accepted his offer. He couldn't wait to share the good news with the Justice League, envisioning their faces lighting up when he told them all that was in store: except perhaps Batman whose stern visage would be unchanged by any surprise or delight.
"Now I want you to turn on your power. I want to make sure you're ready before starting your mission"
Shazam said before he stepped back, taking a few steps away from Subaru. He stopped and looked at Subaru with a serious expression on his face.holding his gaze for a moment before he spoke again. But thus time His voice was measured, and quiet; the words pressed out slowly into the air between them like stones that had been carefully selected for their weight.
"Shazam! To summon your strength, you must yell it out at the top of your lungs. You must feel its power as you do so - pour every ounce of energy into that call. For this is not just any call; its impact will shake worlds and alter realities." He met his eyes before continuing: "The fate of all hangs on what will come to pass now…Call with faith and courage, for this is where destiny starts".
Subaru took a deep breath and closed his eyes, understanding the severity of the situation. He thought of his parents' fate if he failed, Emilia and Rem's fate if he failed, and even the possible destruction of their entire universe. Then an idea sparked in Subaru's head – to make Julius pay for what he'd done to him with humiliation and slander.
"Alright " he murmured with a smile Lifting himself upright with renewed determination, Subaru shouted out "SHAZAM!" His voice reverberated through the all over the space as a beacon of strength against any evil that might come his way, and then.
BOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
Suddenly, a bolt of lightning descended from the heavens like an angelic spear thrust towards the meteor. It seared through Subaru's body with an immense power, shaking the very ground beneath him with a mighty roar of thunder that echoed throughout his being. He felt every inch of himself tingle and light up as if there were stars living inside him. An explosion ensued which left Subaru transfigured; his formerly black hair grown long and cascading down around his face in waves, eyes ablaze with sparks like tiny flecks of lightning dancing inside them, and lips formed into a fierce smile.
"I feel stronger, smarter, faster. This is a feeling I have never felt before... This is a refreshing feeling. I love this."
Subaru was no longer the person he had been before - instead this was a being reborn, stronger than ever and ready to face any challenge ahead of him. He stood tall with his chin held high, radiating an aura of fearlessness that seemed to encase him in an invisible shield which could protect him from all harm.
"This is amazing. It seems that you succeeded in your first attempt. No wonder the Eternity Stone chose you to be the next heir of Teth-Adam power "
Shazam said proudly, admiring the new transformation of, in turn Subaru smiled back at him. But then a look of confusion came over his face as he tilted her head to one side.
"Could you tell me who is the previous bearer of this power and also his fate...since I am his heir then I have the right to know at least".
Shazam briefly looked up at the stars, and then back down to Subaru. He shrugged nonchalantly.
"Well, I'm not going to tell you the whole story of Adam's life because there's not enough time for that now. Listen"
Black Adam had long been a man of dualities, never wholly seen as either champion nor villain but straddling the line between. He often found himself in disagreement with both sides of the struggle yet was ever able to find his own way forward. His dedication to preserving his kingdom displayed no mercy for those who threatened it and he hesitated not when the forces of Krypton invaded, knowing that their destruction must be prevented at all costs. In this war against an overwhelming foe, Black Adam fought with a ferocity matched only by a few; it is said that he personally slew six Kryptonians before finally succumbing himself - to death.
"And that's how it's ends... funny that in the end Adam is remembered as a hero among all the galaxy's, "
" he is Awesome "
Subaru was astonished to find that he now held the power of someone with such incredible valor. He had no idea just how strong the Kryptonians were, but they certainly looked formidable enough to make the whole universe quiver in fear at their might. As he gathered the sparks that flew about him and concentrated them within his fists, a sensation began to pulsate through him - strength, courage, agility, wisdom beyond measure and unparalleled speed were all his! His body seemed almost invincible against any force thrown against it; this newfound power emboldened his spirit as he realized just what it meant for him now - no force could stop him, no weapon could render him powerless.
"I love this feeling i love feeling Strong"
He laughed out loud as he allowed himself to bask in this newfound power. With its energy coursing through his veins, he felt a deep sense of purpose and self-assurance that had been missing before he got he them, He was determined to use this power for the good of all; no longer would anyone be able to push him around, no longer would he be vulnerable to anyone's threats. He had finally found the strength and protection he was looking for, and now there was nothing that could stand in his way.
"It's time to send you back, I've been called for an urgent mission," Shazam said solemnly. Subaru felt a hand on his shoulder and he turned to see Shazam standing behind him, smiling apologetically. The light of the thunder sparks around subaru, reflected off of the concerned look in his eyes as he continued: "And I know it may be tough carrying The fate of the entire universe on your shoulders...but I believe in you"
Subaru hesitated before asking tentatively, "But you still haven't told me my exact mission…"
Shazam looked away in thought as if he was to remember something. Finally, after what seemed like ages, he replied, "Well," he began slowly as if speaking from a distant realm, "the way I recall it is this: travel southward and sever the head of the wolf; divide it into two parts and gather your flock beneath you; take up leadership then what you seek shall appear." He paused before adding with solemn conviction: "That is all of it do you understand Subaru?
Subaru was confused. He stared at shazam, his brow furrowed in bewilderment.
Shazam saw the confusion on subaru's face and spoke reassuringly.
"Do not worry," he said, "It is clear you have not studied the history and geography of that world. Once you study it, you will easily discover the answer." He smiled encouragingly at Subaru as if to reassure him that his own knowledge gap was nothing to be embarrassed about, but simply a challenge for him to learn more about this new realm of which he was a part.
Subaru was grateful for Shazam's reassurance and nodded in acknowledgment. He had been feeling overwhelmed since his arrival and was grateful for the guidance.
Suddenly Shazam's expression became very serious. He narrowed his eyes and spoke with a grave voice,"Remember Subaru, we only have five years before our defenses fall against invading Kryptonians, and before that happens, we need you to find the Kryptonite and bring it to us." There was a pause as Subaru contemplated this possibility – one that had seemed so distant mere moments ago but now felt disturbingly close at hand. He nodded slowly and answered in a firm voice: "I will do whatever is necessary to save us all."
"Good iam counting on you Natsuki Subaru "
Shazam smiled at Subaru's answer, patting him on the shoulder before taking several steps back. He spread his arms wide, his eyes glinting with anticipation as he tilted his head skyward. His raised hand suddenly burst to life with a thunderous clap of lightning that illuminated the space and sent sparks flying in every direction. With one final flash of brilliant electricity, Shazam disappeared in a blaze of light and glory leaving nothing but whispers behind him.
Subaru was left with a million questions, but all he could do was stand in the
moment of awe that Shazam had left behind. The only thing he felt able to do was look up at the sparkling star's and galaxies and whisper one word.
"He called my full name...but I don't remember telling him, did I?"
and wait for an answer that would never come. As Subaru stood there, his thoughts drifted to the beautiful stars he sat there for a while.
"Well time to go home" He said before he raised his hands towards the heavens and closed his eyes to transport himself back to whence he had come, then when fully in tune with the moment opened them again and sent sparks of lightning into existence by shouting out with all of strength "THUNDER TAKE YOU!"
BOOOOOOOOM!!!! BOOOOOOOM!!!! BOOOOOOOOM!!!
The radiating force from this caused space itself to fracture, three immense bolts of lightning descending from above whilst weaving together as though they were one. The overwhelming power enveloped Subaru entirely until it had completely encased him within its grip. Like a bomb going off, the electric energy exploded outward around him leaving only stillness in its wake throughout this infinite expanse, The space was a canvas, painted with multiple colours coming from star's and galaxies alike For one moment it was rent by lightning that fractured the dark and filled its cracks with an eerie glow. Then came the sudden streak of a shooting star, like an errant javelin thrown above - for just enough time to pay witness to its beauty before it burned out in grandeur and flamed away into nothingness.
