Klein's efforts to advance his knowledge and Null's progress with the Allbeast's growth were just the start of their journey around the world.
Having finished up in the library and black market, they both went on their ways trying to meet up with each other.
Unfortunately for them, they had not decided on a rendezvous spot, so they were left to their own devices to have a chance meetup.
That is to say as long as the two were not still busy with their respective quests.
Klein, being the smarter fellow that he was, had took the initiative to trace back his steps and ask around for a kid like himself and a purple pet.
It did not take him long to figure out the general idea of Null's and he was led to the markets where a ruckus was had as news spread of a kid who had his pet consume most of the market's stock.
Upon seeing that he was under the kingdom's protection, no one would stop him and even rejoiced as they had found a way to form a connection with the royal family.
Sure enough, before long he found Null at a food stall for his own consumption needs.
"I'm good to go," he said curtly.
"Ah," Null turned to Klein and offered some skewers, "Want one? They're pretty tasty!"
"Hmph." Klein felt hungry after his time gathering information, so he took a skewer after all.
Taking a bite, he continued to urge Null, "I've got more information about the surrounding lands and sparse communities spread around," he said before taking another bite.
"Even got the whereabouts of all the fauna you could hope for."
Null perked up at the sound of that.
"Well let's get to it. I'm getting bored of manipulation and there's only so much this guy can take," he said pointing to the Allbeast.
The journey seemed cool to him at first, but Null realized that he was not the most productive doing tasks like experimenting with the mofei.
He was more of a vibe-based resonator that produced means when there was an appropriate cause.
Needless to say, he had the cosmic structure and Ego to provide himself with a superficial, yet deep rooted sense of the energy sent through it.
"I'm interested in traveling to the more dangerous parts to observe the natural manipulation of the mei beasts. Maybe we could even find some beast core holders."
The knowledge of Linomei had not included information on beast cores.
It seemed like throughout the studies of beasts in the bestiaries and all things related to stronger mei beasts there was no record of beast cores existing within them.
That led Klein to believe that upon coming in contact with a beast capable of harnessing the powers of a beast core, only death awaited.
Other than that, he had no idea why the secret behind the high-level beast core was left as it was in the minds of his fellow Imeni.
'Maybe I'll know why if I meet something inside the danger zones listed on the maps left behind.'
"Keep in mind the strongest of the Imeni inside this place is capable of wonderous feats like walking natural disasters."
Null only blankly stared at him and responded, "You do know who I am, right?"
Klein could not come up with a rebuttal to the simple remark.
He had seen his friends with their ridiculous talents on the level slightly surpassing his own.
'What am I even talking about. Of course we are a force to reckon with ourselves. That's why we're here in the first place.'
If not for their dire need of understanding of the mofei, they could probably have normal interactions with the mightiest Imeni in the world!
Unfortunately— or maybe fortunately after all— he would not be able to mingle with those of his race and he was more preoccupied with growing stronger through fighting mei beasts.
It was like he was closer in relation to the beasts than the Imeni but that could not be helped as he truly did have ties with the beast blood inside of him.
He could not trek the conventional paths of the Imeni solely without sticking to his bestial roots of bloodthirsty battle with mofei as a backup tool.
The entirety of his body was craving evolution.
This newfound feeling blossomed within himself and ushered the response to traverse the dangers of the wilderness.
"Let's depart now," Klein resigned himself for the future.
"Let's go!" Null was more enthusiastic about their journey.
He had grown used to constant travelling without stopping his training in the path of cultivation.
With his superior method of drawing in pure spirit energy he only lacked a suitable method of circulating it around his body.
While he did have the methods given to him by Theef and Barter's Ruler, he still lacked proper understanding.
Thus, the two were moving on to the outside world once more with speed.
They met with dangerous mei beasts and discovered many species to feed the Allbeast with.
The Allbeast was without an element originally, but even still it could harness the physical traits of each beast it consumed.
The mystery of the Allbeast's inclusion to the team was still at hand, but for now they only knew that it was a trustworthy ally.
In the first place, the Allbeast must have been passed onto Null during his interaction with the glamorous hobo wizard.
Currently, they had just entered a danger zone that had been marked with a skull.
Null was pondering this after Klein's tunic had been roughed up.
'Wait a minute...,' he looked closer at his dirtied hair, 'That same hair. No way!'
He was determined to keep the knowledge to himself.
The future held many surprises apparently.
All stemming from a lonely creator.
