The villagers were finished reassuring Klein to take himself far beyond the reaches of the village as night fell.
It was an uneventful night as they returned to their houses and settled down to sleep.
Klein had already given them some tools to make farming and hunting simpler like hoes and spades.
Thanks to his higher mofei pool, manipulating larger objects became much easier to realize.
He was still underground working on reducing the amount of beast corpses in the village storage; there was still piles of bodies that were on ice in the cooler room.
He had to make sure to at least obtain the parts that were suitable for crafting with so that they would not go to waste.
Now though, he had a new goal in mind: create some glasses so that he could see clearly.
Klein could now manipulate the earth mofei into sand and fire mofei to heat it into glass.
His new core was filled to the brim with fire mofei as he slowly guided the fire to envelope the sand and heat it up to a staggering degree.
'This is my first time attempting something like this. It's better to get it right the first time I guess.'
Once the molten sand had started to roll around like a semi-liquid mass, Klein molded it into two parts and stretched it a bit.
The two sides of the molten glass then shaped into rounded lens shaped forms.
Since he had no frame to base the lenses off of, he could only do his best to recall those of his previous life.
The lenses drew in like the concave lenses people wore to correct their bad eyesight.
For a slight correction, he tested it on himself and blasted pressurized water by loading his core and casting through his finger with a thin stream.
It worked surprisingly well for a first attempt despite its crude structure, but at this point his vision was a real problem.
He could not just walk around switching from his mofei seeing eyes and normal sight without any assistance.
All that was left was to craft the frames, but what would he make them out of?
He considered stone, but it would be too rough and a bit heavy on his face.
That did not stop him from trying though as he was desperate.
They did not work as expected, he needed a bit of flexibility and smoothness to the frames.
He then thought up something that seemed worthwhile.
He left the room and found Null.
Meditating by himself Klein called out to him, "Null. Get up for a second."
"Huh?" Null opened his eyes.
"I need help with something. Can you spare a moment?"
"What's the deal with you? Anytime you need help us crew members got each other's backs, got it?"
"Yeah," Klein smiled, "I just need help with some frames for some glasses I'm making."
Null was taken aback for a moment, "What are those even made out of? Plastic maybe?"
"Haha. Yeah, some of them. I was thinking more like a durable but light metal. Any chance you know how to manipulate one like that?"
"How about gold," Null immediately thought of the pauper. If anyone was good at metals, he was the one.
"That's a bit too flashy for my taste," Klein hesitated.
"But maybe something along the lines could work. Let's just do that first."
"Sounds good to me. Let's go find Goldie!"
They both got up and were about to leave the bunker when one of the villagers came to meet them.
"There's someone at the gates! Come son of the village head. You must hear what they have to say."
'Someone at the gates? Could it be someone from Meidiora?'
They left in a hurry to find out who exactly it was.
Upon reaching the gates, they noticed a small caravan met with Meior and some of the stronger guards ready for any altercation behind him.
"Ah! Klein! Come here and meet this esteemed sir," he turned away to speak and returned his amicable gaze, "This is my son Klein and his friend Null."
A tall, broad-shouldered man stood with a thin, scout looking person at his side.
The man wore a lion pelt garb over cloth clothing and the scout was draped with a thin, dark cloak.
"Greetings," Klein recognized this person to be a formidable figure along with his father's obvious pleasantries.
"Nice to meet you," Null said while narrowing his eyes a bit.
"This esteemed one is known as Gaulin, and he has come from a foreign part of the land beyond even Meidiora."
The one known as Gaulin looked at the boys keenly but had yet to speak.
Meior then went back to the content of the caravan before Klein and Null joined, "So now, why is it that you traveled all this way to our humble village?"
The man looked to the golden gates and spoke, "Humble? You may be small and quiet looking on the inside, but I can tell the person who crafted these gates is a master manipulator."
Meior gulped, "About that... the one who made these gates is a figure not originally from this village. Not so long ago, my village was destroyed by a meager beast tide."
The man seemed intrigued at such a thing, "So you say this gate was crafted not too long ago even. I must meet the man able to construct these fine walls in such a short amount of time."
"Ah. But as for your reason for being here," Meior attempted to steer the conversation.
He knew that Barter's Ruler was no longer in the village due to the matter of the spaceship.
"I've come to invite some talented seeds across the vast lands of Mamon to groom into powerful manipulators for the Kingdom of Linomei."
"This is the last of my caravans to send back some suitable candidates. We've scoured this region for all of its inhabitants, and this seems to be one of the last remaining ones."
He then turned to the scout next to him who then nodded.
"Well then, let me just make it clear for you. Bring forth the children who have yet to awaken their mei veins and we will access their potential."
The look upon Meior's face immediately changed; he had no idea that this method was possible.
"Why yes! I'll see to it right now," he said and immediately left to see to it.
He had already been relieved that Klein was destined for heights beyond that of the planet, but if one of the village children was taken in by this kingdom, then it would be better for the village after he left.
With Meior gone, Gaulin spoke to both Klein and Null, "Since you are both already here, I suppose we should start with the two of you."
He then took out a small piece of ore and told them, "Hold this stone in your hand and concentrate deeply, the result will show up shortly."
Klein took the bit of ore and was instantly thrown into shock, 'This is Meirite!'
He was told many stories about this mythic ore for as long as he could remember in this new life.
The properties of Meirite allowed it to emit the elements it came into contact with up to major degrees.
The tiny piece that he held in his hands could only do as much as light up the colors for each element it connected with.
Now that KIein held the Meirite in his hands, the results were nothing minor.
